I-Search Outline Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe once said, “The nicest thing for me is sleep, then at least I can dream.”. Her life was a series of unfortunate and fortunate opportunities that ultimately ended in the late hours of August 5th, 1962. As a child, Marilyn moved to and from foster homes. She was scouted by a photographer at work one day. After being scouted, she moved on to play small roles at Twentieth Century Fox. In 1952 Marilyn was making good money at Twentieth Century Fox, and she made appearances in many popular movies and was named “Most Promising Actress” by Photoplay. This break in her career seemingly affected her and while she was working on a film, Marilyn was admitted to a New York psychiatric clinic. To some, this …show more content…

From evidence provided, it is clear she was an aspiring star whose life was cut short, not due to suicide but murder. It is sad to see murder being passed off because those who committed it were wealthy with power, and cases like Marilyn’s should be a reason not to let these people get away with it.
