Marijuana is one of the most commonly used drugs all over the world. When people smoke marijuana, THC and many other chemicals are carried into the blood stream and brain. Marijuana smoke is an irritant to the throat and lungs wich can cause a seere cough. Mariauna hhas negative effects in learning, memory and attention and people wo frequently smoke usually function at a reduced intellectual level. Studies show tat mariauna impairs udgement, reaction time, and motor coordination. Smoking Mriauna can delay the immune response which can put people at risk for autoimmune diseases. I was always curious as to why so many people smoked it and could not give it up. I truly did not understand how or why people love it so much. Some people say that mariauna is a gateway drug but how can that be proven? Many people who smoke marijuana do not go on to other drugs, so how can that be true? Medicinal edible marijuana is legal now so I think that people will try to abuse marijuana even more. I hear some people say that it helps to relieve stress just like it says in the article, the high from marijuana give people a sense of relaxation. Many people are dependent on the drug though. I’ve learned that marijuana can be deadly in high doses even though most people believe it is harmless. I did not know that smoking when pregnant could cause such negative effects on offspring. I think that even if the risk were explained to the pregnant mothers, they would continue to smoke because they are addicted. It is similar to cigarettes in a way because many people are addicted to cigarettes, but once a person becomes dependent on something it is hard to go cold turkey and stop.
