Only two people have visited the Mariana Trench and survived. It has a unique formation. It is a dark place. The marine life is small. The Mariana Trench is the deepest point of the ocean, and it is important to know the formation, the phenomenal physical makeup, and marine life. First, the Mariana Trench was formed by the geologic process of subduction. The geologic process of subduction is the convergent boundaries of tectonic plates that take place where one plate moves under another and is forced or sinks due to gravity into the mantle. This occurs when a plate topped by oceanic crust is subducted beneath another plate topped by oceanic crust.
Next thing to know is the Physical Makeup. The Mariana Trench is a crescent-shaped scar in the earth's core. The Mariana trench is about 2,550 kilometers (1,580 miles) long with an average width of 69 kilometers (43 miles). It reaches a maximum-known depth of 10,994 meters (36,070 feet) (40 meters [130 feet]) at a small slot-shaped valley in its floor known as the Challenger Deep.

It is very difficult to live in the Mariana Trench because of high pressure in the water. You would have to be well adapted with no bones such as the Amphipods. Amphipods are Shrimp-like Crustaceans. They're not very glamorous but are very abundant. Another thing that can survive in the deep is Sea cucumbers. Sea cucumbers are echinoderms like sea stars and they specialize in moving the abyssal plains of the world, harvesting food from the sediment with their feeding appendages.

Marianas Trench is not only the deepest known spot in the ocean; it is also a Vancouver-based rock band. The sea was the dull blue of a cataract, surrounded by small volcanoes, bubbling mud pots, and ragged, blank mountains used for bombing practice by the Navy and the Marines . It was hard to imagine that once upon the time this area was known to be a paradise , "a germ in a desert ". About 20 million years ago the last part of the Farallon sea floor plate subducted under the North American plate. This put the North American plate and the Pacific plate into contact, but unlike the Farallon sea floor plate, the Pacific plate sheared against the side of the North American plate. Harry Hess developed the theory of seafloor spreading. He figured out that the newer crust closer to the boundaries in plates were definitely a sign that the seafloor was spreading and that the plates in Earth's crust were moving and creating different
