As part of our culture, while growing up boys and girls are expected to learn the basic skills to fulfill the "roles of their gender." For boys this includes learning all of the the routine maintenance on a car, to work out and be stronger then the girls, and are usually expected to be better with electronics. While at the same time girls are steered towards learning how to cook, clean, and look pretty. All of the female roles require a lot of practice and trial and error before they can be mastered, but the hardest and most time consuming skill to be learned still remains applying make-up. This is necessary for every girl go through on her own, to be able to have her own look. However, there is a routine make-up application process that will help any beginning girl with he basics.

my opponent may argue but I assure you, the vast majority of today 's youth is this way. With the stars on the radio, and plastered onto our Tv’s how can you escape the views of the perfect woman? Now a lot of people may wear makeup to make them love themselves... another topic that I will refute. How come they don 't love their bodies and faces? Because Brad the head dick of the football team is more concerned with the skinny waisted cheerleaders? So because Brad doesn 't like her, she wears makeup to cover up her feelings, and dosing her true unrivaled beauty. Some make up once and awhile sure, I understand that too, but trying to look like a plastic barbie doll, is not healthy. The celebrities makeup seem essential, when it 's truly not. To add onto that, how is picking someone else apart because they didn 't wear makeup a good thing? There is very deep gender roles that make women torture themselves simply because they aren 't perfect and I think the people around them play a big role in

Generally it is not mandatory for a manufacturer to claim that how bioactive ingredients penetrate the skin or that these ingredients cause drug-like or therapeutic effect [2]. There are a rising number of consumers concerned about ingredients such as synthetic chemicals, mineral oils who demand more natural products with traceable and more natural ingredients, free from harmful chemicals and with an emphasis on the properties of botanicals [3].

Soha Ahmed, Audrey Cruz, Curran Rooney English II Honors Higgin 10 January 2017 Evolution of Women's Makeup The styles of makeup over the years differ vastly from era to era. Every style of makeup has a purpose to highlight important features of a face. Women wear makeup the way they do to accentuate their natural beauty. From the ancient egypt to today, makeup vastly changes and makes comebacks throughout time.
After a couple seconds of making these faces with the make up used to look ugly, they then would stick their hand over the camera and once removed they would have full on make up to make them look beautiful. The original purpose of this was intended to help promote a better self-image, yet it only made people with low self-worth feel worse about themselves and has caused many teens to become anorexic, commit suicide, or develop other mental health issues.
It’s hard to believe that even though makeup has been around for many years, a lot of people still ask the question “what is makeup?” and talk very negatively about it, and how it negatively effects people. Many ask, “Is it a mask, an allusion, a fake, a substance women use to doll themselves up due to low self-confidence?” No, these insults and put

Despite the fact that this has been the reality for many years, times are changing and with those changes come differences in social standards. I don’t disagree with the first half of the statement saying that makeup has been encouraged to be used by women, but personally, I don’t believe it will always be that
Some examples of harmful toxins with difficult names include diethanolamine (DEA), formaldehyde, glucocorticoids, and triethanolamine (TEA). We are exposed to toxic chemicals in many ways. We may breathe them in as sprays and powders, swallow chemicals on our lips and, even rub them on our skin. According to a team of researchers who conducted a study on the relationship between exposure to phthalates and DNA damage on human sperm, “cosmetics frequently contain enhancers that allow ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin. Studies have found health problems in people exposed to common fragrance and sunscreen ingredients, including increased risk of sperm damage, feminization of the male reproductive system and low birth weight in girls” (Duty et al. 1164). There should be regulations banning toxic chemicals from personal care and beauty products because toxins are bad for our health (1), the consumer faith in cosmetic companies are suffering (2), and other countries recognized the effects and banned it while America has not
Women all over the world use cosmetics such as lipstick, eyeliner, and mascara on a daily basis without much hesitation or thought. It is part of a social construct of beauty that women have been compelled to follow for many years. Although the exposure of these chemicals is in very small quantities at a time, the effects pose a threat over a long period of time.
