The objective of every government is a peaceful and prosperous country. However, it is hard to find an ideal government in the present world and not a single government could fully satisfy their citizens. No matter which country people always complain about the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of the government. In some countries, the problems remain unsolved as the government cannot find a solution to stop ongoing war, crime and corruption.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (1993) who is the founder of the Transcendental Meditation Program, explains that in order to be successful, the government should appoint the expert administrator who has been proving success in administration since the beginning of the solar system and universe, to accomplish everything

Each wave produces effects in every part of the pond. Similarly, the wave of individual life through its activity produces an influence in all fields of the cosmos. (p. 54).
Thus, the individual consciousness creates a powerful effect to enhance the quality of the collective consciousness of every group in which one belongs to; family, city, state or nation.
This relationship between individual and collective consciousness is reciprocal. Every individual influences the collective consciousness of the society and they also influenced by the consciousness of the society. Maharishi (1976) explains this relationship: “As individual consciousness grows, collective consciousness rises; and as collective consciousness rises, individual consciousness grows” (p. 124). Therefore, all levels of collective consciousness rises naturally, when individual consciousness grows and it helps to create a positive trend in the nation. This positive environment helps to accelerate the growth of individual consciousness in return. It is a continuous cycle that affects one another. Similarly, increasing in number of stressed individuals produce stresses in national consciousness which Maharishi explains as the cause of all problems in the society. He says, “All occurrences of violence, negative and conflict, crises or problems in any society are just the expression of growth of stress in collective consciousness”

Similarly, Maharishi explains every activity of the government is governed by national consciousness or the collective consciousness of the nation. He says: “The activity of government is the expression of national consciousness fulfilling the national need” (Maharishi, 1976, p. 122). This is the fundamental principle of every government, irrespective of its system. In Maharishi’s (1976) point of view: “the different political systems themselves are expressions of national consciousness and change when national consciousness has made them out dated” (p. 122). In this way, the governing process is beyond personal opinions, background, level of education, personality of the government members. Their actions determine by the collective consciousness of the nation, as they are simply the instruments of national
For situational irony I choose the novel or movie .”The Maze Runner.” The situational irony that happened in this story was when Alby and Minho try to examine a weird creature. They wanna bring it back to the glade where they live ,but the griever is actually alive and injuries Alby.Which it makes it difficult to go back to go to the glade. This is situational irony, because now they're trapped inside the maze with the griever with one injured person.
Dramatic Irony is when the irony that is in speeches or text is expressed through a workable structure. The audience knows what’s happening, but the character themselves do not know what’s happening or what’s going to happen. The character is unaware that this is happening, but the readers know how this story will lay out. In the story “The Bicycle” by Jillian Horton, Hannah is a young girl who loves to play piano. Hannah’s aunt, Tante Rose knows how to play so she says that she will teach Hannah how to play but she must obey her aunts rules. One of her aunts rules is that Hannah cannot ride a bike. Hannah has never ridden a bike and all of her friends have, and Hannah wants to ride a bike. The author uses dramatic irony because the readers know that Hannah will ride a bike at some point in her life. The author makes the dramatic irony important because if the author didn’t tell us that Hannah has never ridden a bike, we wouldn’t know why she would want to ride one so badly. This is dramatic irony instead or irony because irony is when the readers expect something to happen and it turns out the opposite way. In this story the reader knows that Hannah will ride the bike and Hannah ends up riding the bike at the end of the story. If Hannah didn’t ride the bike the story would not have ended like it did and then the author would have used ironically. In the short story “The Possibility Of Evil” by Shirley Jackson,
Another literary term is irony. When Unferth gave Beowulf the sword to go kill Grendel`s mother, Unferth thought it was a good gesture and that it would help. When the fight with the mother later started, the sword became totally useless. This is an example of situational irony, because we as the reader knows of the sword, while Unferth doesn't.
In the stories “Story of an Hour”, “Everyday Use”, “The Necklace”, and “The Lottery” it is evident that irony was quite a large part of the short story. There is situational irony, which is when the situation turns out differently than expected. Also, dramatic irony is present, which is when you as a reader knows more than the character. The authors seem to base their whole story around irony to surprise their readers.
Irony: incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the expected results. Huh? Well take the short story “Lady with a Dog” written by Anton Chekhov as an example. First let’s get a look at our main characters, Dmitri Gurov and Anna Sergeyevna, and how they met. Then we will take a look how the story has an ironic turn of events.
In the short story, "Guests of the Nation," Frank O'Connor uses irony to illustrate the conflict which men face when their roles as combatants force them to disregard the humanity of their enemies. In both life and literature, irony exists when there is a contrast between expectation and reality. Verbal irony is defined as "a figure of speech in which the actual intent is expressed in words which carry the opposite meaning" (Thrall 248). In dramatic irony there is a contrast between a character's perception of a situation and the actual facts. Often "some of the actors on the stage or some of the characters in a story are 'blind' to facts known to the spectator or reader" (155) . The short story "Guests of the Nation" by Frank O'Connor illustrates both types of irony.
Irony is a useful device for giving stories many unexpected twists and turns. In Kate Chopin's "The Story of an Hour," irony is used as an effective literary device. Situational irony is used to show the reader that what is expected to happen sometimes doesn't. Dramatic irony is used to clue the reader in on something that is happening that the characters in the story do not know about. Irony is used throughout Chopin's "The Story of an Hour" through the use of situational irony and the use of dramatic irony.
We believe these statements prove themselves to be true: That all men are created equal; that they are given certain rights by their creator; among these rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; to secure these rights governments are set up among men, who receive their powers though consent of the governed; when ever any government becomes destructive towards God given rights, the people have the right to abolish it and institute a new government, laying the foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in the same way so that it will effect the people's safety and happiness. Careful judgment, indeed, will decree that governments long established should not be changed for such causes; and accordingly the experience has shown mankind prone to suffering, and we cannot
Irony is, among many other reasons, problematic in the sense that it is both hard to define as well as sometimes hard to understand. Even the most critical and experienced of readers have missed instances of irony at times, and even more so ordinary readers.
Surprise can lead to happiness, or surprise can lead to depression. Situational irony is when somebody expects something to go one way, but it really happens the exact opposite way. Situational irony can also change the reader’s mind in a way they will never believe. In “The Ransom of Red Chief,” O. Henry uses situational irony to amuse the reader. In “The Necklace,” Guy de Maupassant uses a feeling of compassion for the short story. In “The Ransom of Red Chief” and in “The Necklace,” O. Henry, Guy de Maupassant, and any author can use situational irony to affect the reader's emotions.
The definition of situational irony is “irony involving a situation in which actions have an effect that is opposite from what was intended, so that the outcome is contrary to what was expected” (situational irony”). This irony plays on what the reader thinks will happen, although it is not what actually happens. One of the first instances where situational irony is found in “The Story of an Hour” is as Mrs. Mallard finds out Mr. Brently Mallard has died. She grieves and then proceeds to want to be alone, locking herself in her room. Later she emerges euphoric and blissful. (Chopin 199-201). The anticipation is that Mrs. Mallard will be completely distressed over the passing of her husband, instead she is content with his death. The most pronounced form of situational irony in “The Story of an Hour” comes at the closure of the story when Mrs. Mallard leaves her room with Josephine full of life, lightness, and ready to take on the world. Only seconds later as she descends the stairs, Mr. Brently Mallard walks through the door killing her instantly (Chopin 201). The expectation is that Mr. Brently Mallard is dead and will not walk through the door. The irony is he does. Additionally the sudden death of Mrs. Mallard just from seeing her husband, is not
In general, individual cannot be built without the continuous outpouring him or her into the society for understanding his or her position and identity. It is impossible that an infant is able to figure out he or she is a human being before he or she has the conception about “human being.” A man cannot know whether he is smart or not without comparison with other men. Therefore, all information about an individual must be obtained from other individuals in one society. The biological process of being a social individual is the time when the individual interacts with an outside social environment in both physical and emotional ways. The reason why an individual has to touch and output outside environment is the incompleteness of society. That is, there is no society which does not base on human beings because society is not a biologically extraneous phenomenon, and the society must be shaped by activities of every individual. With the continual establishment of the relationship between every individuals and social world, the existence of society become real. In short, the broader social world is the product of the activities of human
The most important cause, and symptom, of the decay of any government or institution is the loss of prestige and respect among the public at large, and the loss of self-confidence among the leaders themselves in their capacity to rule” (p. 79).
Human nature is not simply a measure of our human tendencies. It is both individual and collective. It does not explain why events happen. Instead, it explains the subconscious of each individual in the instant that events happen. The social order that best fits human nature is one where the informed opinions of everyone creates decisions and causes action. Madison’s argument for and against factions, Aristotle’s idea of ultimate happiness, and Locke’s concept of popular government and human rights all offer a significant component to the larger concept that is human nature. While some may argue that we will only fully understand human nature when we are met with death, still we can begin to capture a slight understanding to what governs human nature and the political order that helps it grow.
Thomas Hobbes is the English philosopher, which is improved Western political philosophy and its terms like civil society, absolutism for the sovereign, right of the individual, legitimate power’s representativeness etc. In his famous book of Leviathan, he showed sovereign’s political order’s artificial character and what life would be without government which named as state of nature by the Hobbes. In this state like all people in the world also they will try to survive for their life and avoid their acts which can cause their death. According to Hobbes, the best possibilty for diminishing the possibilty of danger coming from another people is having social contract for establish civil society. According to Hobbes, the causes of conflicts are human’s innate behaivour like competitors for materials, feeling insecurity etc. In addition, thir fear of death can be advantage on the obeying their social contract for the peace. Law of nature’s rules are fundemental contract between people to avoid war which is the worst situation in the state. So to understand reasons of conflict and the solutions for long term peace firstly person should understand the law of nature’s requirements and Hobbes’ ideas reason for permanent peace monarchy is the best form of government mechanism.
