MBA Admissions Essays - My Typical Work Day My typical work day begins at 8:30 in the morning with a visit to either Credit Agricole Indosuez, a French bank with whom my company has a classified credit facility, or to Janata, a nationalized bank which is considering our proposal for debt financing of an Acrylic yarn project. Although I face the same challenge of raising money at both banks, my approach differs between the different banks. When dealing with Indosuez, I must be very objective with in-depth knowledge of the issues while with Janata, my frequent visits are what matters most. Although I did not study business, my keenness towards finance and my achievements within the business department of my company have assigned me these responsibilities. Between 11:30 and 12:00,I visit our textile mill, which is about an hour's drive from the city. I work there as the technical director, and my primary responsibilities include monitoring plant efficiency, product quality, maintenance, and my favorite -- working on customer response analysis, a recently devised and relatively unique strategy for quality assurance. The job is demanding and sometimes challenging. We are continuously on the look out for new products and means to becoming cost efficient. By 2:30 or so I leave the mill for our city office. I work with our executives in preparing and following up on various proposals, preparing quotations etc. I also attend meetings with equipment sellers. One of my routine jobs is to sit with my colleagues in the procurement department for testing and selection of raw materials, mainly cotton and dyestuffs. By 4:30,I usually begin work on my personal business, which I maintain through a separate desk in our head office. At this desk I maintain my trade intermediary business for readymade garment export and footwear. I spend about an hour here before I retire for the day.
The plays, The Glass Menagerie and A Raisin in the Sun, deal with the love, honor, and respect of family. In The Glass Menagerie, Amanda, the caring but overbearing and over protective mother, wants to be taken care of, but in A Raisin in the Sun, Mama, as she is known, is the overseer of the family. The prospective of the plays identify that we have family members, like Amanda, as overprotective, or like Mama, as overseers. I am going to give a contrast of the mothers in the plays.

Niccolo Machiavelli, one of the great political minds of the 15th century, accomplished what many mathematicians today only dream of, having one’s name used as an adjective. To be Machiavellian is to demonstrate characteristics of expediency, deceit, and cunning and as Machiavelli wrote in, The Prince, these are the qualities of a great leader. The Prince was published in 1531, creating great controversy with other political thinkers of the time. Machiavelli completely ignored the popular religious teachings of the era and erased the moral and ethical considerations from the leadership equation; the actions of a ruler should be governed solely by necessity. “Since I intend to write something useful to an understanding reader, it seemed better to go after the real truth of the matter then to repeat what people have imagined” (221). The predominate theme of The Prince is that it is the responsibility of any leader to secure and maintain the political power of their state by any means necessary. One can consider many leaders in history who took this to heart, some into success and some into infamy.
I am interested in pursuing a second master’s degree because I found a career path that I am very passionate about. I have strategically aligned myself with the right combination of education and experience to develop and grow my career as a Human Resources (HR) professional and this strategy has been the key to my current success. Applying to the Masters of Professional Studies (MPS) Human Resources Management (HRM) program is the next step in becoming even more successful within my field because I plan to work as a Vice President of International Development and Workforce Planning. Purpose is identifying what type of finance are suitable to required, amount is how much should be borrow, repayment is how much and when should the business pay the finance back. Interest is how much is the finance cost and security is the business need put down the business assets or personal household as a deposit before receive any finance. These are the main concepts owner and manager need to remember before apply any type of finance. (Cox and Fardon, 2009) Director and manager need to think effectively for rising capital in an effective way which includes lower repayment and the control of the company. (Gillespie, 2001)

Others may not mind work but still do not look forward to going. It is a rare occasion to find someone who is completely satisfied with his or her career. However, for one man, work is bliss. In “Quality” by Galsworthy, Gessler, the shoemaker, is shown to be a man of integrity and of complete dedication to his work.
When Grete comes to bring food to Gregor, Gregor notices how she can not bear the sight of him and is always scared by his appearance. This causes Gregor to carry “a sheet on his back on the sofa...and arrange it there in such a way as to hid[e] him completely” (Kafka 99). Even though this course of action is taken, there’s still the choice of Grete to uncover the sheet if she wished to. However, Grete never did, which further alienates Gregor in his house. With less thought on Gregor’s past human self, all they can remember is this unclean vermin who dwells in their house. Later on his family doesn’t even refer to him as a person, but rather a thing. According to Tonkin, it was especially prominent when “Grete...bursts out to their father that “we must get rid of it You just have to put from your mind any thought that it's Gregor”.”. Instead of saying Gregor or brother, she calls him a creature. This really dehumanizes Gregor as a character. Both Kafka and Tonkin suggest the gradual change in the family’s perspective towards Gregor and how they eventually don’t even see him as a human being anymore. It is rather inhumane to say “get rid of it”. By spending more time in isolation, Gregor is losing communication with his family, and, in turn, causes his family to view him as a creature and a pest to get rid of, rather than their child or brother.
