That night after practice my coach told me something I would never forget; he said, "Look, no matter what happens tomorrow at the game, you have been one of the best players I have ever coached and I want you to go out there tomorrow knowing you are going to win."
Messi became the player he is today after being in an environment that allowed him to practice and reach the ten thousand hour rule with top coaches, players, and facility in the world. Messi was also lucky enough to be scouted by a team that was a great fit for him and willing to assist his medical treatment that could have been ruinous to his outstanding career that impacted the world of
“There is a history of footballers in my family, my grandad played for Notts County and my dad played at county level. But there were no expectations because my dad’s a wonderful man and he would never put that pressure on me.”
In July of 2000 Luis Figo shocked the world with what was then a world record €60 million transfer (a transfer is when a player moves teams), the equivalent of almost $82 million. Back then, as one of the greatest in the history of soccer, the record transfer fee was understand. Just this summer, Gareth Bale moved to the same team as Figo had just 13 years before, Real Madrid, for a world-record €100 million, more than $135 million. Tottenham lost their star player, and Real overpaid by tens of millions: this is what the culture of soccer has become. While some argue that big clubs need the revenue they get from spending big, UEFA, the federation in charge or european soccer, needs to restrict free-spending by clubs because small clubs are left powerless to retain their key players, which leads to a lack of revenue that smaller clubs need more, and the money spent and received has a direct effect on one’s success.
Throught the years there have been amazing players come and go for Fc Barcelona. For Example Ronald Koeman who was a fantastic defender and one of the best penalty takers. Or attacking midfielder Victor Borba Ferreira who had incredible dribbling skills. Ronaldo de Assis Moreira who is also known as Ronaldinho was especially an inspiring player who brought a lot of talent to the table. All these players contributed so much to Fc Barcelona but there is one player that drastically changed everything for Fc barcelona the day he joined.

In 2009, the Spanish soccer club Real Madrid agreed to pay Manchester United a record $131 million for the chance to sign Ronaldo. Ronaldo’s commitment to Manchester United had come under constant question, and speculation swirled that he wanted to play elsewhere, so nobody was all that surprised to see Ronaldo leave. "I know that they are going to demand a lot of me to be successful at the club and I know that I'm going to have much more pressure than at Manchester United because I was there for many years," Ronaldo told reporters. But it means a new challenge and is going to help me be the best footballer." Ronaldo went on to compile an impressive list of individual honors and team trophies.

In conclusion, we can see that Messi’s career have been successful in over a short period of time. But, has also had some upsets that were overcome by the young superstar and also overcame his disorder to reach his goal of being a professional soccer player. In addition, all his hard work have paid off because he won some of the most prestigious award that a soccer player can get at this level, like the Golden Ball. When people ask what my favorite sport is, I quickly reply soccer. I never really gave much thought to who my favorite soccer player is until I saw Lionel Messi for the first time. I saw him play for Argentina and he showed me how great soccer really is. He has a great style of both teamwork and individual skill. The ability he has to keep control of the ball is what made me interested in soccer. Without him, who knows if I would even begin to enjoy soccer. He shows both individual skill and the importance of teamwork. He does not only score a ton of goals, but also gives many assists. Lionel Messi, in my opinion, is one of the greatest soccer players in history. Lionel Messi is most definitely one of my role models. Messi doesn’t only teach me how to improve on individual skill but also can show me the importance of not showing off. The soccer skill that this man has is unbelievable. Lionel Messi is a great role model.
