This finding was not surprising to me and it was interesting to see that they thought there would have been a different result. To me it case since that people with less free time would do better in school as most of our time is taken up by working on home work and attending classes. The findings also showed that people with less free time where not as happy as those with more to me this point toward the concept of a time famine since the people who spend more time one school are lacking the time the need to enjoy the college experience.

An overloaded student accomplishes his/her tasks by organizing his/her daily schedule, not allowing more than one activity developing in the same hour. Also, the student has to allow for himself/herself recreational time as a reward, for that will balance his/her overwhelmed lifestyle.
Human agency is referred to as the individual’s ability to making choices of their own free will. Famine is referred to as extreme and general scarcity of food, as in a country or a large geographical area. Human agency can be affected by a famine in many different ways.
There are several programs in the Muncie area that assist those who are dealing with food insecurity. Some of these programs are: Indiana school breakfast and lunch program, Second Harvest Food bank and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program. These three programs help those who suffer from food insecurity but do so in different ways.
Coming to college as an adult, we have many expectations and preconceptions of what college will or will not be. The expectations we have can influence our college life for the better or the worse. My experience since starting college has been an interesting one. People have misconceptions about college because they do not know what to expect. After doing some research, I have concluded that there are three major factors that are often misunderstood about college life. The first is the financial aspect of college. Second, is the relationship between the professors and students. Third is time management. These three factors play an important role in why people are afraid to go down the path to college.
An Introduction to The Great Famine After a warm, uninterrupted summer, the late summer beckoned, and at the beginning of September, when the potatoes were to be harvested, it became clear that entire crops were diseased and unfit for consumption by either man or animal. Within months the disease had spread and the Irish were in the grip of a dire potato blight, which within months had wiped out three quarters of the entire potato crop in Ireland. It should not be thought that the potato blight was the only reason for the famine, granted it was a primary factor, however when coupled with a huge inflation within the Irish population, and that meant due to this, people had significantly less land to grow and harvest crops, this when coupled with the potato blight made it neigh on impossible to prevent the starvation of an entire country. "Our accounts from the northern parts of this country are most deplorable. What the poor people earn on the public works is barely sufficient to support them.
In response to the recent failure of the international community to prevent the famine crisis in the Horn of Africa since July 2011, Suzanne Dvorak the chief executive of Save the Children wrote that, “We need to provide help now. But we cannot forget that these children are wasting away in a disaster that we could - and should - have prevented” she added, “The UN estimates that every $1 spent in prevention saves $7 in emergency spending.” (Dvorak, 2011).
In The Hunger Games, the inequality between the rich and the poor is the biggest theme presented in the book. Throughout the book, Katniss mentions that starvation is common in District 12, and she has often gone hunting illegally in the woods for food for her family. This is an example of how the rich and the poor are separated. Wealth is only centralized in the hands of the rich, while the poor are left to starve, leaving disparity. The best examples of the inequality between the rich and the poor is seen in the tessera system, and the way the tributes are selected for the games. In the novel, they have what is called “the reaping”, which is the lottery at which they choose the tributes for the games. Famine Prevention Famine is a crisis where starvation from too little food results in the sharp increase of distress and death one place. Developing countries whose food production is dependent on rain fed agriculture suffer greatly. Climate related problems such as low rainfall, drought as well as insects and vermin do have a devastating affect on crops and livelihood but there are many other factors at work. To enable the prevention of famines, the causes must be addressed; whether famines will be eradicated from the modern world will take the determination of all people those directly affected and those who are not. Amartya Sen takes the stand that famines are not the result of a country's inability to grow food but from poverty, meaning famine is a product of poverty.

About eight students interviewed about causes that led them to earn academic warnings or to be placed on academic probation. Even though all of the students were previously successful in high school, they were not able to maintain required GPA in college. Most of the students admitted that they were not able to manage their time and had very low self-motivation. Additionally, some of the students responded that they were not used to facing challenges in high school and, as a result, did not know how to deal with stress that was arising from the challenges in college.
