There is no dictionary that can define exactly what love is in this world. Love is different for everyone. It can only be felt. For me, this is the best definition of love: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Love is the most powerful emotion known to humankind. Some of us are not currently in a relationship, some are at the beginning of a relationship, or have been in a relationship for a long time. Based on my experience and observations, I notice that
You talk for a while but it just doesn’t feel enough. You feel like this is different from any other random meeting you’ve had. You want to know more about this person, so you ask them out on a date. One date leads to a few more. And every time you meet, you can’t help but think about how beautiful they look when they smile, you can’t help but be amazed at the way their eyes light up when they’re telling you something about their life, and you can’t help but feel like this person might just be the one for you. That is when you know that you are falling in love.
Everything changes around you when you fall in love, or maybe it is just only you changing. You will the feel the pounding of your heart when you see them, and your wish to be seen by them only. Your temper becomes gentle, tolerance rises and imagination expands. You try to imagine what the person would have done if they were in your place, what they would be doing at the moment or if they would be thinking about you too. And just like getting high, falling in love allows you to see the world through beautiful rose colored glasses – only seeing what makes you feel good and ignoring what makes you feel
