Of course, it is a state of emotion when an individual enjoys the comfort of someone else who shares that same emotion back. Although, it may be true, but coming from experience, the word love has a different definition. As mentioned before, love can be meant as a status of showing deep affection toward another person. Love is having compassion for others, sharing feelings and your life with another person, as well as, having faith in others and forgiving those we love for the any errs that they may make. Most of all, we must be committed to those we love. Of course, this is only my opinion. No matter how long I try to explain what love is ultimately it is up to you, the reader, to define what love is to you. So let me leave you now with the words of the great Humanist Erich Fromm, "Can anything be learned about the art of love, except by practicing it?"
love is a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection to pleasure . It can refer to an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment. It can also be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection—"the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another". It may also describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one's self or animals.
Love is something that should be felt or seen. It shows how much someone or something is by having more devotion. Not only knowing how much it can be affected but a choice in life situations.
Love means accepting people for who they really are because no one is perfect. First, many people use the common word but don’t know the real meaning. A lot of people want to change and influence others, but one will never truly learn about a person if you change them from the start. Second, love is forgiveness even though you may not want to all the time. Someone may have mistreated you in the past, but at the end of the day you just have to forgive them and move on. Third, love is going out of your way for that special someone that may be in your life. Love, is a complicated thing, and you're never quite sure how things could possibly turn out to be. You're just going to go out on a limb each time hoping for the best and patiently waiting
There is no dictionary that can define exactly what love is in this world. Love is different for everyone. It can only be felt. For me, this is the best definition of love: “Love is patient, love is kind”. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
Many people have different perspectives when it comes to the topic of love. The word love has been tossed around by everybody and not very many people really understand the true meaning of love. There are some exceptions, but I think this is especially true for teenagers and young adults. Almost everyone has experienced love whether they knew it or not. I feel like it is something all of us want. There are different types of love: Friendship love, relationship love, and family love. A lot of people have a hard time expressing love in words. Everyone experiences it differently, the main thing is that we know what is love, and what is not. Society has screwed the meaning of love up. They have twisted, and perverted the meaning. There are now girls who think being hit is a form of love. If someone really loves you, they will respect you. The world and Christians have two totally different meanings of love. So I want to show both sides of love.
If you asked everyone what love is, you'd get different answers from everyone. For me love is such an abstract and baffling concept. Love is something that you cannot just google and find an answer for. It's something that is different for everyone. I think when you truly understand love, you'll feel it. I think a lot of people find themselves astray from the true meaning of love, imagining that it's all just what they see on tv. Everyone tries to understand love by dissecting it and trying to find the definition of it. I think from the fault in our stars that love is a self-diagnosed disease. It's the thumping of the chest that keeps you awake at the crack of dawn and the permanent smile on your face. I believe love
Love: A beautiful word and a universal emotion and the most difficult one to understand. Love is the most powerful emotion in our lives, the deepest feeling of which we are capable of. Because mostly the anger arouse in you is because of your loved ones not doing the things you expect, so it is a form of love definitely. So love is really hard to understand.Love can be connected to many different things. For example, you have a love for food, a love for clothing, or a love for others. Love also means helping our neighbors, even if our neighbors don’t realize who is doing the helping.
Usually when people think of love they think of a strong feeling towards a person or thing. Love however, has a different connotation and denotation that separates how people view the word. For me, the distinction between the connotation and denotation differs based on how I was raised and the experiences I have had. The things about love I’ve learned growing up have portrayed to me how feelings and emotions associated with love can’t be accurately defined, a person must feel it for themselves.
Love is strong, wild and heart breaking. However, love is shaped by society. And society has thousands of meanings as to what love is.
