Recommended: What is love
. Love is not painful. If it hurts, then it is not love, but something different than love. Instead, it may be fear, possessiveness, attachment, insecurities, or addiction. In addition, love is considered to drive people crazy. However, love does not drive a person crazy. Instead, it makes them rational or sensible.
There is love of affection and love of non-affection. Love of affection is where one loves for the right reasons and in the right ways such as a man or woman who loves their partner for who they are. On the other hand, love of non-affection is love for the wrong reasons. An example is a woman or man who is in love with a person due to his or her wealth. This general conception of what love is, is often confused by many people. There is not only one defined love of affection, but there are many subgroups of love such as brotherly love, puppy love, maternal love, and so on. But the love that is going to be focused on will be love between two people.
Love is not a feeling. In fact, the truest kind of love is selflessness, faithfulness, commitment, trustworthiness, kindness, and honest. True love is different from the definition that society follows by. Alternatively, true love is the opposite of society’s definition in which a person is not needing or being attached to another person, but instead sets both parties in a relationship free; for there is trust, honesty, communication, commitment, and so on between one another. However, there are conditions in which both people have to have and implement all of these qualities in the relationship or else one would be at risk of being emotionally hurt or heart broken because the person will feel as if his or her love is being taken advantaged of and the person does not feel val...

...e needs to be the right amount of infatuation to start love and make it gradually develop into true love. There needs to be more than feelings for love. Conditional love is love for the fact that the person tries to push the other person to do their best because they care, but love that is forceful meaning that it has to be earned under conditions is not love. Love is about accepting everything and loving a person for the right reasons. Without love, life is empty and pointless because people need to be loved to feel safe, trusted, understood, wanted, cared, and so on to feel ultimate happiness and therefore love can lead to this because within love there is jealousy, understanding, caring, affection, trustworthiness, honesty, freedom, satisfaction, and etc. Love requires both parties to love each other back in order for it to be balanced so happiness can be lasting.
Ask someone what love is and several things will come to their mind. The truth is, love is the white light of emotion. It includes many feelings such as pain, anger, and happiness. There is no right or wrong meaning of love. As Diane Ackerman stated in Love’s Vocabulary, “Love is the great intangible.” This means that love is a broad emotion and therefore has multiple aspects. One of these aspects is passion. Passion is an aspect of love because it is unassailable, uncontrollable, and a positive force.
There are just so many types of love. Many people will state that at one point in their life they can truly pin point a time when they knew that they were in love. People will also say that in that relationship they had true love and that there was affection in it too. Affection exists apart from the other loves.
Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary defines love as a strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties. Love is a journey that begins by building a foundation of trust, commitment, and understanding. The speaker is thorough and demanding to the point that the speaker becomes a façade to keep prospective loves away. Without love as the speaker begins to say life becomes pointless.
Our society uses the term "love" far too lightly. Having been guilty of this offense myself, I admit my guilt. I often say, "I love Mexican food," or, "I love my truck." Love, however, is not just a happy feeling we get when something nice pleases us. Love is a verb. Love is the action of giving yourself totally to one person without expecting anything in return. Love is being willing to put aside your own needs in order to meet the needs of others. Giving up your weekend trip to the beach in order to take care of your sick mother is one example of love. A destitute mother giving up her one piece of bread to feed her sick little boy is another example of love. The ultimate expression of love is being willing to lay down your own life in the place of another. Love is giving, not getting.
Love is said to be one of the most desired things in life. People long for it, search for it, and crave it. It can come in the form of partners, friends, or just simply family. To some, love is something of a necessity in life, where some would rather turn a cold shoulder to it. Love can be the mixture of passion, need, lust, loyalty, and blood. Love can be extraordinary and breathtaking. Love being held so high can also be dangerous. Love can drive people to numerous mad things with it dangerously so full of craze and passion.
Love is affection, devotion, passion, desire, warmth, respect or loyalty. You choose. It doesn't really matter which one because they are all forms of love. Some are powerful and demand attention while others are more subtle and just below the surface. In recent years, love has drifted from these subtle levels to the more noticeable ones, namely passion. In my opinion, our society downplays the real necessity for genuine affection. By this I mean that we, as a society, spend so much time focusing on only one level of love (passion) that we tend to neglect and not recognize the need for closeness and trust (friendship). Love is an all-encompassing emotion that can be powerful and demanding, but also rewarding and pleasurable.
Love is not usually well defined. People often think that they are in love, but they cant explain it. There is a great dealing of confusion of the words love, and infatuation. Love may include romance, infatuation, affection and tenderness. But it could be love if one or more of the elements are not present. The definition of love varies from person to person. Love is essential element for all relationships. Much of what is written about love is either brief or mocking. Society in general is very cruel and heartless toward real love of any kind. Modern writing mocks marriages, husbands and wives, but condones adultery, and other obscene values. Real love is a mystery to most people. Most people never realize the true potential or value of love, nor do they learn to practice the art of love.
The definitions of love are the same, yet different. Godly, for instance, is the love of God, and your devotion and respect toward him, the Creator. In all religions, God carries the same aspect. Fraternal love is the love of ones family and relatives, even the love of one who is close to you, in that respect, such as a friend. Then there’s romantic love; a love between two people, which I consider to be both intimate and sexual.
Love is loyalty. Being loyal is showing constant support or allegiance to one person. It is being faithful to one's commitments. Honesty is apart of being loyal.
The Ideal Death Growing up, denying death has played an important part in my life. The word death was something that I was uncomfortable with. I had forbidden myself to come close to a dead body or even watch one on TV. As a person, I acted tough on the outside, but inside I was just a little girl who was so scared to come across to the dead. At the age of fifteen, we received the news of my grandmother's death, but being strong headed, I refused to attend the funeral.
To better understand the concept of "love", lets define the value of love. Love is the most valuable commodity in the world. We all need love just like a fish needs water. Without love, life would not be worth living. With love in our lives, we are empowered beyond belief.
Love, that single feeling which generates the funny sensations in people's stomach, giving them the warm pleasures in their body, causing them to feel joy, and to believe every aspect in their life is right. It causes them to receive an exhilarating, appealing feeling that makes them want to rejoice. Love can be a speeding of their heart, but it can also be nerve-racking. It makes their hearts begin to rapidly pump, making a rapid beat— “ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom”. Attempting to describe love is a rigorous task, but it is possible. However, the easiest detail to describe and understand about love is not so much the feeling of it, but the concept of what it is about. Many people may obtain different views and definitions regarding love, but
Love or Lust is the topic that always come to someone's mind who is supposedly “in love” but is hard to tell the difference. The feeling of being wanted can work both in wrong and good ways. That good love feels like a constant happiness even on bad days, she can get mad at him but learn to forgive in the next minute.
Love can make you do anything and sacrifice for what will be better in the end. Love is intense and passionate. Everything seems brighter, happier, more wonderful, and just all around better when you’re in love. If you find love, cherish it and don’t let it go. Love frees us all from all the weight and pain of
First, we need to know what love is in order to identify it. From a biblical point of view, love is defined as, “love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud (Corinthians 13:4)” It goes on to include that love is not selfish, not disrespectful, it forgives, trusts, hopes, and protects. The Four Loves, written by C.S. Lewis, defines love as a focus on another person and accepting him/her completely for who he/she is. It is the unselfish giving of yourself. Love and other emotions: On the process of feeling, by Jason Brown, defines love as a source of importance and value.
