This week, has been an amazing week of basketball for Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Lou Williams. Williams, who is the Lakers' sixth man coming off the bench, has been tasked with the duty of shouldering the offensive workload for a team without Jose Caledron, D'Angelo Russell, and Nick Young. Without Russell, the Lakers are missing 16.1 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game. Not to mention, Russell is shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 37.2 from three-point range. Young, on the other hand, was having a great start to the season too, before suffering a right calf strain. With no Russell or Young, Williams has had to step his game up and has admirably done the job this week. Williams' hot streak began last Saturday on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies. Against the Grizzlies, Williams scored 40 points, only four points away from a career-high of 44, which he set last season. He also shot 55 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range. …show more content…
The veteran from South Gwinnett High School tried to get the Lakers the victory but they would lose 103-100 in the waning moments of the game. Then a couple of days later, the Lakers took on the Utah Jazz at the Staples Center. Once again, Williams held up his end of the bargain, scoring 38 points on 27 field goal attempts, while knocking down 4-of-9 from three-point range. Also in this game, Williams had seven assists and six rebounds. Despite Williams going off once again, the Lakers lost another close game 107-101 and were now on a three-game losing streak. Williams outscored the Lakers' starting lineup (38-34) and the Jazz bench
For instance, Dennis Smith Jr. and Yogi Ferrell, both 1st and 2nd year NBA players, receive more playing time then 19-year veteran Dirk Nowitzki. Smith Jr. and Ferrell each receive 29.5 and 29.0 minutes per game (mpg) compared to Nowitzki’s 25.1 mpg for the year (“2017-2018 Dallas Mavericks Player Stats,” 2018). Although no significant difference, this does reveal that the Mavericks coaching staff are playing younger unproven players more often, which means they may lose more games.

The common thread during a conversation regarding former Orlando Magic great Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway includes the constant injuries and abrupt ending to his once promising career. A 6'7 point guard was extremely rare back in 1993 something not seen since the days of Earvin "Magic" Johnson standing at 6'9 with the Los Angeles Lakers. Since his retirement players such as the Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James and Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons have carried on the "Point Forward" role.

Also, he was named Atlantic 10 Tournament MVP after hitting an electrifying, buzzer-beating 3-pointer to lift Rhode Island over Temple, 62-59 in the A-10 Tournament championship game. He had career-high 28 points at St. Joseph's Feb. 21, career-high 15 rebounds vs. Brown, Nov. 24, 1998, and career-high 11 assists vs. George Washington March 5. Lamar had five-game stretch in January where he scored 20 or more points in each game.

Williams often strayed from the script during filming. At the beginning the producers tried to stop him, but by the time it was over sections of the script were left out so Williams could improvise. A television critic said, "Though his ceaseless adlibbing can grate on sensitive nerves, there is something teddy bearish about Williams that make him tolerable, it certainly made Mork one of television's most popular characters"(Brennan 2). In 1979 Williams won a Golden Globe for "Best TV Actor-
In his first season with the Chicago Bulls Michael Jordan averaged 28 points a game and voted to the All-Star game, because of all the attention Jordan received his teammates refused to pass him the ball. Instead of letting the freeze-out during the All-Star game deter him he went on to win Rookie of the Year. The following season he would break his foot causing him to miss the rest of the regular season. He would return for the playoffs where in the second game of the series against the Boston Celtics he set the record for most points in a playoff game with 63; however the Celtics would win the series and would later on lose to the Los Angeles Lakers.
During his career, Michael Jordan earned beautiful stats on offense as well as defense due to his scoring abilities, teamwork, and respect for other players in the NBA. On offense, Michael Jordan successfully made an astounding 32,292 point during his career after making 12,192 Field Goals, but attempted 24,537. Michael Jordan was unable to hone in his shot beyond the three point line, which caused him to only make 581 3-Point Field Goals out of his 1,778 attempts, earning him a .327 3-Point Field Goal percentage. He played seventy-one games and in six of those games he started. His first year Kobe Bryant averaged 15.5 minutes per game (mpg) and 7.6 points per game (ppg), but things got interesting during the 1999-2000 season (Sports 1). That year, Kobe Bryant led the Lakers to their twelfth National Championship with help from center Shaquille O’Neal. That year Kobe Bryant would average 38.2 mpg 22.5 ppg, averaging 47% field goal percentage, or average shots made per game. He would take his team to the NBA finals for a chance to win it all. With superstar snipers in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson it is no wonder the Golden State Warriors lead the NBA in 3 point shooting percentage. Not only are they shooting over 40% from behind the 3 point line, which many consider to be the barometer of an elite shooter, as a team they are the number 1, three point shooting team with a 4...
Despite reports to the contrary the Los Angeles Lakers had a productive off-season. The desire and effort to improve is evident. The Lakers were ridiculed for having money to spend and not landing one of the top free agents on the market. As a matter of fact the list of top available free agents read LaMarcus Aldridge, Demarcus Cousins, DeAndre Jordan, Kevin Love, Jimmy Butler, David West, Draymond Green and Paul Pierce among others. All of these NBA veterans are talented players that would make an impact on any team, but with all due respect none of them are what you would call landscape changing additions. To put it differently by having this player on your team makes your team a championship contender. The Lakers were able to secure the services of the law firm of Hibbert, Williams & Bass. The additions are far
