Lost in Space
In the year 4621 a marvelous innovation developed by the Nova Corporation which was made to power planet’s for millions of years, These were put in place thousands of years ago and are still functioning today, but recently wierd things have been happening. Today walking through town I realized that nobody was working at the Nova Geothermal site on my planet and most of the government had simply just left. I had gone to my best friend Arlens house where I had been discussing to him about the weird findings, we turned on the television to see that there were no channels online beside the local newscasting. and they hadn’t said anything important. Days past and the days were becoming hotter and hotter, we weren’t completely numb and realized something bad was happening, we decided that day to head to the local spaceport and see if we could purchase a ticket to one of the near planets but on arrival to the spaceport it was closed and no one was in sight, although the towns were completely normal. We knew we had to get out of this planet so we got into the spaceport to find an old ship that was manageable and we decided to just go, we had no one on this planet we knew as we were only here for work so we decided to go.
The two prepared the ship for launch, they ran around checking everything to make sure they could get to a safe distance from the planet, the fuel tank had been filled to about half - empty and after about 30 minutes of making sure this old thing wouldn’t explode we turned everything on and we saw a broadcast from the spaceships monitor, a military looking man was on the screen, it looked like a repeat so we listened and the man began to say “The planet must be evacuated now.” ...

...ours, we had traveled about 3 trillion miles until we had finally made it halfway through the solar system, I sat alone and began to think about the universe, were so small compared to everything else, from small cluster to cluster, to larger clusters that seem endless towards forming what the universe is. The universe had to come from something right, I mean nobody knows what was here before the universe, all the matter and energy in the universe were collected in one dense area that must of caused a massive explosion to theorize a never end universe that is always growing, some believe that there is no end or beginning to the universe and that it has always been.
We had been traveling for almost a month now and we were only 1000 miles from the planet, the story for us is over, I don’t think I’ll be doing this again.
In the first 20 minutes of 2001: A Space Odyssey you see a group of monkeys going through evolution. The first change you see is that of a leader. In the beginning, each monkey did their own thing, and was not bound to any organization whatsoever. The monkeys did what they want when they wanted. Then the change begins. A single monkey, by himself, rises to the top of a cliff. He stands and screams. The other monkeys notice him screaming and began dancing and rejoicing. They scream and jump around, in what appears to be reverence for their new leader. Stanley Kubrick shows the change very simply, yet its message is still very clear. The monkeys had never shouted as loud or danced as much as they had previously in the film. Their actions confirm that something in fact had changed.
It's inconceivable that you can't get a message off or that we didn't get a message off. However, we do know that we were in the water about 107 hours, therefore, next time we think that we would like to have a positive means, in case we went down, of somebody saying, "They're gone", somebody with us and tell the outside world about it.
while. A little after Brian finished he was thinking again about his parents when he noticed that the pilot was rubbing his shoulder and jaw. A few minutes later the pilot said to Brian that he was in a lot of pain and he started using the radio to signal for help. He didn't make it long enough to talk and had a massive heart attack. When he had the heart attack he hit the right rudder making the plane swoop right. Brian could not believe what happened. He had an idea to use the radio. But just before the radio transmissi...
The seat of faith resides in the will of the individual and not in the leaning to our own reasoning, for reasoning is the freedom of choosing what one accepts as one’s will. In considering the will was created and one cannot accuse the potter or the clay, Milton writes to this reasoning, as “thir own revolt,” whereas the clay of humankind is sufficient and justly pliable for use as a vessel of obedience or disobedience (3.117). The difficulty of this acceptance of obedience or disobedience is inherent in the natural unwillingness in acknowledging that we are at the disposal of another being, even God. One theme of Paradise Lost is humankind’s disobedience to a Creator, a Creator that claims control over its creation. When a single living thing which God has made escapes beyond the Creator’s control this is in essence an eradicating of the Creator God. A Creator who would create a creature who the Creator would or could not control its creation is not a sovereign God. For who would not hold someone responsible for manufacturing something that could not be controlled and consider it immoral to do so? To think that God created a universe that he has somehow abdicated to its own devices is to accredit immorality to the Creator. Since the nucleus of Milton’s epic poem is to “justifie the wayes of God” to his creation, these ‘arguments’ are set in theological Miltonesque terms in his words (1. 26). Milton’s terms and words in Paradise Lost relate the view of God to man and Milton’s view to the reader. Views viewed in theological terms that have blazed many wandering paths through the centuries to knot up imperfect men to explain perfect God.
... There comes a cracking sound, a screech and a ripping as the unit pulls loose. There was an explosion, a flash of light and smoke. The Chief moves to McMurphy, reaches down and gently closes his eyes.
Three million B.C. The gunpowder for a smashing evolutionary hit was amassing for a long time, but the necessary spark came from an outside help, which soon set the whole world ablaze. From this heated inferno, came the most proficient species ever to grace the planet. And now man has to be prepared for what comes next. Arthur C. Clarke skillfully proves the point that 'truth is stranger than fiction' in his remarkable book - 2001: A Space Odyssey. He also carefully examines the point that in spite of their intelligence and curious mind, humans lack the capacity to be a complete species on their own. Without the assistance of concerned alien species humans would never had climbed the evolutionary ladder. Devoid of the outside help they wouldn't had escaped their self made prison, explored the enormity of the universe and known their place in it.
In “Forgotten Planet” the speaker is reminded that knowledge erodes wonder. Through a series of events, the speaker discovers new destiny for his daughter, while he discovers knowledge waiting to be understood.

The excitement among people was cut short by the unfortunate delay in flight, because of maintenance on one of its engines. The passengers boarded the plane a couple of hours after the scheduled time. Finally, it was cleared for taxi on runway 26-Right. The pilots lined the aircraft parallel to the runway. A tragic accident, however, was about to happen.
There is a time in every person's life where a person loses hope, whether it is over reconciling an old friendship or over attempting to arrive back home to society. On numerous occasions, the audience observes the latter throughout the pilot of the television series called Lost. Further, the audience notices the scene in which Sayid discovers that the transceiver is receiving a signal and he utilizes it to attempt to communicate with someone off the island. In this scene, the theme of hopelessness is seen through the characters' verbal and non-verbal actions as well as the situations they are constantly being put into. This scene represents the thesis of the episode, which is someone can still overcome the situation they found themselves in even though that person feels hopeless.
In the first three books of Paradise Lost, we find a number of instances in which the physiographic, atmospheric, and geomorphological characteristics of the text’s cosmography are described, allowing the reader a degree of purchase in their struggle to orient themselves within the various settings in which they find themselves following the In Media Res plunge into the “fiery gulf” (I.54) of “yon lake of fire” (I.280). While geographic detail is by no means a prolific element of the text, the instances of geographic detail we find largely feature independent descriptions of regions that stand in notable isolation from one another. Rather than offering a geometrical approximation of spatial relationships between these regions, the reader is instead presented with a series of isolated locales, in which direction, bearing and scale are notably either vague or unspecified. The first example of this occurs when, surveilling the region in which he finds himself following the fall, Satan finds the “dismal situation waste and wild / A dungeon horrible, on all sides round / As one great furnace flamed...” (I.60-62). The only real geographic information we are offered in this initial depiction of hell is that it contains “Regions of sorrow…” (I.65).
Billion years ago, there was an extra-ordinary event without which nothing would exist. It was the beginning of the universe. It was the time when a large amount of energy in an infinitely small space violently expanded and led to the creation of universe and everything else that we see around us today. It can perhaps be regarded as the greatest scientific achievement to understand the history and nature of how the universe came into being.

Since the dawn of intelligent man, humanity has speculated about the origins of the universe.
The universe exists solely according to each of our own experiences and feelings. For me, the universe was created by God who used evolution to construct us as intelligent, compassionate beings. This is the truth in my eyes, but I know many other people have their own faith that is just as justifiable and true as mine. I know this because everyone bases their feelings about the world around on them on the experiences that each of them had, whether it was growing up with a religion or having an emotional event that caused significant revelations. After watching the Empathic 3 video in class, I had a deep realization that the reason why we are all connected is because we each feel empathy for each other. I believe in reincarnation after death and perhaps we are all one soul with different levels of wisdom in all different moments of time. I believe that by observation a person, you can sense how old their soul is despite their age because I have felt this first-hand. When I was a kid, I used to tell my mom t...
