Relating the plot, the three act play may be seen as a poor play in its plot. It lacks elements of suspense except for the result of having the insurance money and Walter’s decision to refuse the bribe. Over than this the rest of the actions and events are easy to follow and understand. That is why the play is not fragmented on any levels. The time line is chronological there is no leaping or flashbacks. The plot is about ethical victory of a black family. The family members face problems of racism and poverty which lead to the crisis of the family which were reasons of their anger, until she managed to move to their new apartment in the White neighborhood ( Vera and Feagin 248). Having also, symbolism in the play, readers can notice Lena’s plant and it's struggle, because there is not enough sun that's why Lena plans to take it to the new house, where is a garden and more sun. This plant expresses the character of Lena herself. As she suffers from living in this cramped house and her survive. Another symbol, Beneatha’s hair, which symbolises her pride in her African heritage and her wish to explore her roots in Africa. Her decision to cut her hair to free herself from racial identity ( Florman and Kestler, par 8-12).

As for the Language and scenery, Hansberry uses many writing styles based on the nature of the characters and setting. She mixes everyday speech to show frustration of the family. The language is more related to slang language. Lena’s style is full of symbolism, she refers to the plant and it's struggle to herself and she speaks to herself as if her husband still alive. Walter uses direct style of talking, he focuses on his dream,his way of speech reflects that he doesn't care about anyone or anything but money. It's style is full of slang
