He decides for Juliet that Paris is the best husband for her, when he actually doesn’t know the truth about Romeo and Juliet’s relationship. Juliet tries to tell his father that she is married to Romeo, but he doesn’t listen to her. She comes up with a plan to live happily with Romeo, when her father decided to unknowingly twist her plan.
Lord Capulet is to blame for the tragedy because he was never the kind of father to blame for in the beginning until later something comes in between his decision. “My will to her consent is but a part./as she agree, within her

For example, “Things have fall’n out, sir, unluckily/that we have had no time to move our daughter.” (3.4.1-2) Capulet hadn’t even convince Juliet to marry Paris, in the first place. He ignored the fact that he should discuss with his daughter about Paris and goes on with making decision on his own. He cares too much about his own opinion, rather than Juliet’s. Another example, “Day, night; tide, time; work, play;/alone, in company; still my care hath been/to have her matched; and having now provided/a gentleman of noble parentage,/of fair demesnes, youthful, and nobly trained,/stuffed, as they say, with honorable parts/proportioned as one’s thought would wish a man.” (3.5.178-184). Capulet goes ahead and desperately tries to find Juliet a husband that he thinks would suit her most. He thinks that Paris is the perfect kind of man for Juliet because he has good qualities. Because Paris is from a noble family, Capulet must have thought that he is a lady’s man. This entire time, Lord Capulet was only being selfish, and thinking of himself when he chose Paris to be Juliet’s husband. His selfish actions was part of why the tragic ending between Romeo and Juliet was
Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, is a story of two young lovers. These two hearts, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet belong to feuding families. The family feud causes them to keep their love a secret and therefore only Romeo, Juliet, Benvolio, the Nurse and Friar Lawrence know of their love. Romeo and Juliet are able to look past the feud and let themselves fall in mad love with the other. They let themselves do almost anything for the other and at times it seems like too much to do, even for the one they love. Although fate and character traits play a key role in the play, ultimately Rome and Juliet’s personal choices lead to their downfall.Fate originates all of the conflicts in Romeo and Juliet, from when they met until they die.
In this essay it explain how Lady Capulet, Friar Lawrence, and fate. Are what and who to blame when it comes to the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Lady Capulet is to blame to because she keep pushing marriage on to Juliet. Friar Lawrence is the one who is going to marry the two, so he is not helping matters at all. Love can kill but being forced to love can hurt even more. In my ninth grade english class we read the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, it was a tough book in the beginning with the word choices used by the creative writer William Shakespeare. We were told to right an essay and gather evidence of who is the real blame for Romeo and Juliet's death. I believe the real killer in this book is Lord Capulet the father of Juliet.
3When Capulet was informed by Tybalt about the presence of Romeo (Montague) Capulet said, “A bears him like a portly gentlemen”. His ignorance towards Romeo’s presence caused the two youngsters to fall in love, which led to a series of problems. Another mistake was to arrange Juliet’s marriage with Paris without her consent. When Paris came to ask to make Juliet his bride, Capulet changed his opinion when he first asked and said, “I think she’ll be ruled-in all respect by me. Nay, more, I doubt it”.
Lord Capulet is a loving father who deeply cares for Juliet. When he arranges the marriage between her and Paris, he is just trying to do what he feels is best for her. He knows Paris, being handsome and rich, will make a good husband to Juliet. When she refuses to marry Paris he goes into a violent rage, saying things he doesn’t mean. “Hang thee, young baggage, disobedient wretch! / I tell thee what: get thee to church o’Thursday, / Or never after look me in the face.”(3.5.166-168). He feels that the marriage of the two will be beneficial for Juliet and he loves her so much that he doesn’t mean to hurt her feelings. When Juliet “dies” he laments. “Despised, distressed, hated, martyred, killed! / Uncomfortable time, why cam’st thou now/ To murder, murder our solemnity? / O child! O child! My soul and not my child! / Dead art thou! Alack, my child is dead, / And with my child my joys are buried.” (4.5.65-70). He cries out in a pain and anguish for his lost daughter Juliet. By showing emotion on account of her death and for her disobedience, Capulet shows that he really does care for Juliet and that he is a good father, wanting the best for her.
If Lord Capulet had not moved the wedding to the next day, then Romeo would have gotten the letter he was originally supposed to receive and Friar Laurence’s plan would have worked out effortlessly. In addition, the father would never allow Juliet to marry Romeo considering he is a Montague, the rival of their family. This made the plan for Juliet to marry Romeo even harder. In the play, Romeo and Juliet, many characters were to blame and some to be pardoned. Friar Laurence and Lord Capulet were the most responsible for the problems Romeo and Juliet face.
Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet instantly fall in love when they meet at a party. They near after get married. After killing Tybalt, a member of the Capulet family, Romeo is forever expelled from the city of Verona, Italy, where the story takes place. Lord Capulet, Juliet’s dad villain in the story (really), not knowing of Juliet’s previous marriage, decides that Juliet will marry eternally to Paris. Juliet is upset by this. So she fakes her death so she wouldn’t have to get remarried to him. News is brought to Romeo,
The play Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare. Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet are two "star-crossed lovers". Their families are sworn enemies. When Romeo, Benvolio and others go to a Capulet party in the beginning is fate. Another event is when Capulet moves the wedding of Juliet and Count Paris up one day. A final event is when Romeo finds Juliet in the tomb. If Romeo had come a few minutes later he would've found Juliet awake. These events affect the tragic ending of the play.
In every fairy tale, movie, story, and play there is always a ‘happily ever after’ but in not in this case. The star struck lovers, Romeo and Juliet, both from families who loathe each other, end up taking their lives because they rather die than live without one another. The play “Romeo and Juliet” written by, William Shakespeare, mainly focuses on how selfishness can lead to tragedy. The selfish personalities of the characters caused conflict, betrayal, and death.
The story of Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy. The two lovers go against their families and against their hate to be together but they don’t think about the consequences, which in the end are devastating.
The play Romeo and Juliet is a widely known tragedy written by Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet features two rival families and their children. When a daughter of Capulet and son of Montague meet at a party, sparks immediately fly. However, because of their families rivalry, they marry in secret, and were happy. That is until things took a turn for the worst. After an unexpected accident, Romeo is forced to leave the city, and he may never return. Juliet’s not sure she’ll ever see him again and tries to plan a way to be with Romeo, but ends up making things worse. It is an extremely tragic story. Or that’s what everyone is led to believe. However, the play Romeo and Juliet is in actuality a comedy. Between the overabundance of hyperbole, Paris’
Romeo and Juliet is a play written by William Shakespeare, where a boy and a girl fall in love with each other during a party hosted by Juliet’s father, Lord Capulet. The two teenager decide to get marry, despite their family's hate for each other and only meeting each other a few hours ago. However, the Montagues (Romeo’s Parents) and the Capulets end their feud after they discover that their children killed themselves. Romeo and Juliet’s death was caused by Juliet’s parents, Juliet, and Friar Lawrence.
Although Capulet wanted the best for Juliet, he didn't give a thought on how she felt and had forced her to marry Paris which had caused problems that led to her tragic end. She didn't want to marry someone who she did not love and wanted to escape this marriage. Her method of escape was death. Capulet's controlling actions appeared as early as Act I Scene 2, when he was arranging Juliet's marriage to Paris without her consent. Paris wondered if Juliet would like him and Capulet responded with, "Of my child's love: I think she will be ruled. In all respects by me; nay, more, I doubt it not." (IV, 3, ln. 13-14). stating that he doesn't just think Juliet will like him but that he knows she will like him. When Juliet refuses to marry Paris, he shouted, "To go with Paris to Saint Peter's Church, Or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither." (V, 3, ln. 154-155). making her agree to go to the church. Although she did agree to go, her thought of, "I'll to the friar, to know his remedy; If all else fail, myself have power to die." (V, 3, ln. 241-242). showed that she did not plan on marrying Paris and that she would die first. Juliet's arrangement to Paris had brought her death because it had resulted in the potion plan which had caused Romeo and Juliet to die. If Capulet had never forced Juliet to marry Paris, she would have been living happily with Romeo.
Romeo and Juliet is about the children of two rivals. They fall in love at Juliet’s ball, when she was supposed to be with her to be husband Paris. After they fall in love and share a special moment, Romeo runs away from his friends and into the Capulet's garden where Juliet’s balcony happened to be. After they talk they agree to marry the next day. As someone reading this we already know that they will both end up dead in the end, but to them, they love each other so strongly they do not think about their actions.
The No side of the group had a very good point. We believe that people don’t choose their own destinies because of outside forces. This is a very true point. We had great evidence that helped prove this point. “Sir, Paris I will make a desperate tender of my child’s love. It think she will be ruled in all respects by me; nay more, I doubt not” (lll.iiii.12-14). In this quote Capulet is choosing to have Juliet get married to Paris. Capulet is the outside force here he is altering Juliet's destiny. Juliet is already married to Romeo she can not say this or Capulet would have had Romeo killed. Therefore since Capulet is altering Juliet’s destiny this proves our point that outside forces alter our destiny.
