In 2005, Chile and China signed a free trade agreement, the first agreement of its type ever signed in Latin America. Since the agreement was signed, trade between China and Chile has grown exponentially. Chile is the leading country in Latin America that has maintained good relations with China, beginning in 1970 when Chile was the first South American country to recognize the Peoples Republic of China (Jenkins 2009). Over the years their relationship has continued to develop through the many rounds of discussions that have taken place since the FTA was first established. By examining the economic implications the China-Chile FTA has had on the Chilean economy, it is seen that while both countries trade markets are benefiting, the Chilean market is facing more negative impacts than the Chinese economy. Although both countries have solid reasoning to invest with one another, China has had much more to gain from entering into this trade relationship.
Can Anticipatory Logistics Work In The Corporate World? I do not see any reason, based on the article provided, as to why anticipatory logistics cannot work in the corporate world. In my opinion both are significantly similar in function and operation. The basic aim of both the supply chain management that is frequently used in the corporate world and the anticipatory logistics used by the armed forces are same, and that Is to satisfy the customer better than the competitor. It is true that in each industry the requirements, needs and demands of customers are different, specifically in the corporate world where one company sells pharmaceutical products while other sells ready made clothes. However, in the industry, all the companies compete for a greater market share and that share is contributed by earning customers, loyal or not. When there is a question of winning customers, then there is a concern about the cost, the pricing of the product or service, the speed and ease of delivery, the psychological acceptance, and many other such elements that make the organization ponder on efforts that would let them survive not just in the corporate world, but also in the war or preparations for war. Anticipatory logistics work in the similar fashion as the supply chain management works. Defining the supply chain management, Li et al (1999) writes that the supply chain management is the “management of materials and information flow both in and between facilities across SC”, where the SC or the supply chain is a “network of facilities and distribution options that performs the function of procurement of materials, transformation of these materials into intermediate and finished products, and distribution of these finished products to custo...

China’s economical strength comes from its international trades as the economy has grown to a rate of 10.3% in 2010. It has become the world’s largest exporter in the global economy. In the area of trade, three major strengths of China are 1) it is the single most important challenge for the European Union (EU) trade policy, 2) China is the second trade partner behind the U.S., and 3) it is the EU’s biggest source of imports by far with the dramatic increase in the EU-China trades over the recent years. The EU exports of goods to China were 113.1 billion Euros and in imports was 281.9 billion Euros in 2010. The service exports were 18 billion Euros and in imports were 13 billion Euros in 2009. China has also established trades with Australia. Recently, the two countries have been cooperating and assisting each other in industries such as agriculture, energy and minerals as they continue their free trade agreements (Jia Qinglin).

Based on my research, one of the challenges faced by logistic company is capacity forecast. Capacity forecast is a general’s capacity theory that we should know it about warehousing. Warehousing it is very important in this industry where they play an important role to store the goods before its loading and unloading once it arrive at the destination point. The requirement for this phase is its transportation. As an example, the used of mode, carrier and protection class. Furthermore, capacity forecast has its own benefits in logistic.
