Living in a boarding house has many advantages which people can not get if we live in our house. The teenagers who live in boarding house, learn to be independet and responsible for what they have been doing. They are required to not rely to another people. If they live in their home, they will ask for help to their parents or maids. When they live in a boarding house, they must do everything by theirselves, like or not. All of these make us to be a person who is not a stumbling block for another people.
“In boarding house, I have bigger liberty and authority rather than before I live in boarding house,” said Yogi who has been living in a boarding house when moved to Jakarta. Teenagers who live in boarding house are not controlled by adults. Parents just can call them or visit them once in a while, but they do not know what their children do in detail. Their children also can use money as they want withouth their parents permission. Now, it depends on the teenagers how they use the freedom wisely or not. If they can not use it wisely, they will ruin their live.
Everyone needs friends in their lives to share some stories, jokes, or just spend time toghether.
Furthermore, facilities frequently concentrate on “quick-fix” interventions instead of focusing on their qualities that empower them and concentrating on long-term aspirations (Heinze & Jozefowicz-Simbeni, 2009). For the most part, it is extremely hard to access health care for the youth population because they face various restrictions. It is not surprising that many homeless adolescents do not have a way of seeking services even if they are the population that needs it the most. Homeless youth are at a higher risk of adverse outcomes such as not being able to further their education, getting incarcerated, developing a mental health disorder, and engaging in alcohol dependency and unsafe sexual behavior (Heinze & Jozefowicz-Simbeni, 2009). Children without a home are more prone to live in inconsistent and harsh living conditions categorized by family and school issues. Although; many homeless youths do not experience desirable outcomes housing programs and similar services serve a primary support system to help reduce homelessness. Services that promise better living conditions are shown to enhance lifestyles and a positive development into adulthood.

Going away to college is a great way for people to meet new friends and experience new things. Usually a setting unlike their home will help them with both of these experiences. While this may not be true for everyone, I believe everyone should try living in an area unlike his or her own. This is what develops a person intellectually and socially.
Although the reason some families choose to home school is because they want a stronger, more personal education for their child, it has been seen that some children simply drop out of school and say that they are homeschooling, when in reality they are not studying anything since tradition education is not required in the Un...

As teenagers, we tend to think that we don't need our parents help, but I must admit that it’s not easy living without either one by your side. For my second year of high school, I moved away from home and became a boarder at Bolles. At first, I was so overly excited to be away from home because I thought I was about to have all the freedom in the world. Well, soon enough I learned that I thought wrong. Of course, being in the dorm environment consisted of certain rules to ensure our safety and of course there were rules that the borders, including myself did and do not agree on. Over the past three years, I have observed that the boarder population feels like some rules are not made for our safety, but made to stop us from having a little
Dr. Ray’s nationwide research indicates that more than 90% percent of the parents do not hold valid, government approved teaching certificates (2009). Whereas, all teachers, both public and private, have those certificates, and are taught, trained and certified to teach each certain aged students (“Home Schooling” 2011). Since the quality of education neither monitored nor regulated by the government, it is doubtful to trust the quality of education that parents provide to their children (“Home Schooling”, 2011). Teachers and administrators firmly control the quality of education they provide to students. They are concerned not only with the academics, but also with the engagement of the students in extracurricular activities at the school. Therefore classroom education is able to provide socialization, which is an important aspect of youth
Every parent is faced with the decision of whether or not to home school their child. While some families may find home schooling as being very helpful and beneficial to their child’s education, others may find that it is crucial their child be sent to a normal school. Some parents are hesitant to send their children to public school because of crime and lack of discipline and also because they fear that the quality of education is declining. Parents may also feel that sending their child to school will aid in their social development. Home schooling has both advantages and disadvantages which aid parents in this difficult decision.
Families who decide to homeschool their children will have to spare much of their time to watch over their children’s progress and education, which could result in reducing the family income as one of the parents must stay home to make sure that everything is prepared and done right for their kids preventing making it impossible for both parents to be employed. Homeschooling have proven that it’s better as an educational system, but it does have some negative effects on the children, homeschool parents should expose their kids to the outside world give them the space to explore and interact with the unknown, expose to other ideas beyond their own, and let them interact with other children who are not homeschooled, they also need to teach them to question all things even the family ideas and way of living.
As I was always told, it is better to live on your own then it is with a roommate. These are reasons why.one. When you are living, alone you have the responsibility to take care of everything and not have to worry about other people getting in your way. Living on your own offers a great deal of freedom to act how you want and live the way you want. If you want to lie on the couch for days on end, watching there is no one there to complain about your behavior. You can listen to your music as loud as you can want or any kind of music for that matter because you do not have anyone nagging about what you are doing.
The environment through which education is realized is critical for the learning children. In this aspect, there exist many forms of schooling that support education of children; public schooling, home schooling and private schooling. However, each method of schooling has its own advantages and disadvantages compared to other schooling methods. The above arguments are based on both home schooling and public schooling. Each schooling method focuses on pertinent issues that make the method as the most ideal compared to the other. Moreover, these arguments focus in realization of specific goals of education and education environments as indicated in each subheading.
A home is a place of residence for everyone which they use to take rest or to even gather with family. Most young people think about living away from home as the best part in their lives because they will have more freedom. however, they do not realize that living at home has more benefits compared to living away from home. Inside the differences between living at home and living away from home, there are similarities in both of them.
Homeschooling also known as home education refers to the education of the children inside the home as opposed to a formal setting of a private or public school. This practice is on the rise with statistics showing that today more than two million kids are taught at home. Although many scholars support education that is offered in formal settings such as schools, homeschooling has been an effective alternative to a cheaper more wholesome method of educating children. This practice has immense positive effects on a child physically, mentally and socially with very dismal differences in terms of a child performance when compared to education offered in stricter environments such as a school. In this thesis, I will study the positive effects of homeschooling as a means of offering education. Home-schooling may have different effects on each child, although, many studies conformed that home-schooling children will result in healthy minded children because of the healthy surrounding environment, the parental supervision and the guidance of a
Making new friends can be intimidating, but it’s definitely rewarding. After all, friends form a big part of our life. They are the ones who walk through life together, share our ups and downs and joys and pains. Without friends, life wouldn’t be the same at all. We wouldn’t be who we are if not for them.
The majority of students will be living by themselves for the first time, away from the support of their parents and siblings. Furthermore, living alone ensures that students must monitor and manage finances, clean their living quarters, and cook for themselves. The continuous practise of these skills ensures that students are equipped with abilities they will need for future living, thus improving their independence. Moreover, students often share a flat together. Living in close proximity to one another ensures that students develop their social skills. Aside from living away from home, the constantly monitored work, paired with the necessity to attend lectures, means that students learn to be organised, furthering their independence. In conclusion, a university education entails far more than simply attending lectures, completing coursework and taking exams. Students benefit from the diversity of social interactions offered in a university setting, and may encounter more opportunities through the social networks they develop. In addition, the ability to work independently and solve a range of problems will make them far more attractive to future employers. In short, gaining a degree entails far more than simply acquiring another
