Living your best life can be hard. It means you need to make some hard decisions, do some hard things, and face some hard facts. But it is rewarding. Living your worst life is easy. You just sit back and let life happen to you. You don 't choose what you want. You don 't take action on what you want. You just complain, do things you don 't want to do, and waste your life away. It is a painful way to live. If you are finished living your worst life - or even a mediocre life, then you need to start doing the hard things. Following are some encouraging quotes to get you up and do what you need to do!
1. Satisfy Your Soul
"You know what 's right. Just do right. You don 't really have to ask anybody. The truth is 'right ' may not be expedient,

You have the ability to help others and the world become better. That should be an extremely encouraging thought to keep you focused on making change and moving towards the life you want.
5. Hold The Belief That You Are Capable Of Living Your Best Life
"I never imagined that what I would be doing would be sitting on television talking to you all, but the nature of my personality and the nature of my belief was that whatever I would be doing, I would find a way to be really good at it and excel at it. That is what I believed about myself." - Oprah Winfrey
When you believe in yourself, big things happen. Oprah said that even if she had been working at a shoe store, she would have sold the most shoes in the store because her belief was that she was going to be really good at whatever she was doing.
You can take that lesson and apply it to your own life to start living your best life. Believe that whatever you are doing, you are going to be the best at it. And take it a step further and believe that you are capable of finding the path in life that is your best life, and you are capable of doing it very
The lesson I appreciated the most is that one should not give up on something they believe in, just
Perhaps the most notable triumph of Oprah Winfrey is her job as host of her own television show, "The Oprah Winfrey Show". Because anyone is free to decide what they choose as a career, she had the opportunity to create this show. The viewings and acceptance of the consumers to her show allowed it's prosperity. Keep in mind that Oprah had no control of the success her show would receive, although she had free decision to do what she pleased with it, it was the decision of the consumers
He regretted all of the opportunities that he had missed and by the time he realized that he never lived his life, it was too late to live it to its fullest. Therefore, life should be lived to its fullest so that when it is over, there are no regrets. So many people have ideas of things they want to do, whether they be business-related, something that scares them or even just asking someone else out on a date. Everyone has ideas about how they want to live their lives, but most people never wind up following through. They are so afraid of failure or of looking bad that they run from any kind of challenge.
Oprah Winfrey is a name that needs no introduction to most people in the world. Starting her journey with nothing, today , she has everything anybody could wish for and more. She has the money, the friends, the fame, the respect and as she repeatedly has pointed out as a comical comment, the shoes.
She did not even let people get in the way of her dreams. She had trauma along her journey but she looked passed that. She got rejected multiple times simply because she was defined as an African American but, again, that did not stop her from following her passion. Winfrey even donates money to help those in need, and so with this, she chased her dream until she got what she wanted. Oprah Winfrey is an inspiration to not just me, but to any girl who has been rejected and has gone through a non consensual sexual act - nothing stands her way as a woman. I would definitely say she is the most successful African American woman out
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson-
As talked about in Outliers, there are many factors that go into creating and building someone out of the norm of society. As Gladwell fraises it, ““Superstar lawyers and math whizzes and software entrepreneurs appear at first blush to lie outside ordinary experience. But they don't. They are products of history and community, of opportunity and legacy. Their success is not exceptional or mysterious. It is grounded in a web of advantages and inheritances, some deserved, some not, some earned, some just plain lucky - but all critical to making them who they are. The outlier, in the end, is not an outlier at all” (Gladwell 285.) Oprah is an outlier in the sense that she worked for what she’s accomplished but had unforeseen forces working in her favor that even she didn’t realize until she looked back on her journey to success.
Oprah Winfrey is not only the richest woman in the world, but she is also is known to be one of the most influential black women to ever live in the United States. She is a person “who has become successful and spread it around to those who need it the most” (Oprah 76). She has opened many different foundations to help others, For example, the Oprah Winfrey foundation. As if that already wasn’t enough she made a networking site called Oprah angel, what it does is help raise money for charitable causes around the world. In 2000 Oprah Decided to not only help others with Physical and financial problems, she wanted to go one step further. She published her own magazine called “O” that would give woman advice with how she deals with the same situations that woman do in their everyday lives. One of Oprahs greatest works is a leadership Academy that she established. It is a school in Africa that will prepare students for what awaits them on the other side of those doors. “It is a place where young girls will have the opportunity improve the quality of life for their sisters, and for generations to come” (Owla 12-13).
Oprah was born in a small, rural town in Mississippi to an unwed teenage mother. Even though her birth was not miraculous like that of other heros, she made up for it in her early years of life with an abundance of charisma and personality. She was so poor at one point she had to wear potato sacks as clothes and was made fun of by her classmates. Oprah faced other hardships early on, including sexual assault by close family members and a pregnancy at the age of fourteen, of which her son died shortly after birth. She was forced to move towns often, living with her mother, grandmother and father at different times throughout her childhood. This did not affect her obviously natural social abilities. She was nicknamed “The Preacher” for her ability to recite bible verses and was often found interviewing her dolls for fun. At the age of seventeen, Oprah won an oratory contest that granted her a full scholarship to Tennessee State University where she majored in communication. She experienced an early recognition of her talents much like many other heros. This was the start of a booming career for her.
There is one main life lesson that I use all the time. And it is, to never be a quitter, because being a quitter is worse than losing. Being a quitter is even worse than being a loser. Cause, who would want to be called a quitter their whole life. I would rather spend extra time trying to get it down and done, then be a quitter. Cause if you quit at one thing, most will quit every time a roadblock is in their way.
"Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment" (Oprah Winfrey). This quote represents the idea that doing the best someone possibly can now most certainly put them in the best place for the next. Oprah Winfrey is a household name, not only in America but throughout the world. She has not only graced Americans’ televisions for the past twenty-five years, however, Oprah has impacted numerous lives across the globe as well. Many know Oprah from what they see her as today, however, they do not know of her past and the circumstances that shaped and molded her into the woman they all know today. Although Oprah has experienced excruciating periods of her life, she still has proved that anyone can make a difference no matter what his/her background may be. Oprah is living proof that anything is possible, and dreams do come true. Oprah has proved to people everywhere that true joy in life comes from giving to those who are in need. “I define Joy as a sustained sense of well-being and internal piece – a connection to what matters” (Oprah Winfrey).
I can look forward to it and manage my expectations but happens when something gets in the way? I will never have the answer to “What is the meaning of life?”—but I will have the ability to try. There is a reason why I’m always soul searching to become a better me. It’s because the best me hasn’t happened yet. I will never be the best version of myself but I am always a work in progress trying to reach the ultimate goal. Life isn’t about being successful and leaving your “mark on the world.” Maybe life is about leaving a shadow so one can follow in. Maybe that’s why we’re all here—to try and make it easier for the people to come. My fulfilling life hasn’t been fulfilled yet—the best is yet to
There are numerous lessons that I have learned from life, they were lessons that I learned from good and bad experiences in life. Different experiences from school and out of school that has made me the way I am today. There is a long list of experiences that in reality did not teach me much.
I have a very fulfilling feeling about what I have been able to accomplish in my life so far. I want the absolute best for myself and those close to me. I often go above and beyond to help those around me succeed and be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be.
