Tolkien writing is taken very seriously amongst many other authors and his fans. He has grown very popular due to the “lord of the Rings” book and movie and then “ The Hobbit” book and movie. Whether they are visiting the doctor, having lunch or just simply solving a problem. They use step by step plans to come to a solution. As humans we usually think are way is the right way and there is no better way around something. But what happens when people find a fault in each other's or their own plans or need to correct something. This idea is show in Tolkien quote at the beginning, “It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations”. Essentially he is referring to your plan will not work if you don't consider all of the possible outcome or what might potentially happen. This is shown time and time again in everyday life when you have a plan and stick with this plan and never consider the possible failures or problems and the results come up
