A lot of people have no idea what a DNR is or even what they do. The reason i have choose this topic is because there is a lot of information to learn about a DNR. Also I am having a job shadow with a DNR so there is already a lot of previous knowledge to be told about one. I have wanted to be one since i was a kid and ever since i started to want to be one i realized that it is possible. They have a lot of different jobs that they are in charge of. They also have a lot of power. Unlike a police officer that has to have a warrant to search a person …show more content…
and their belongings a DNR has the power to just go in that person's car/house without a warrant. Mostly they are in charge of making sure that people have their proper hunting and fishing licenses/permits. Each year you have to renew your license so that you are up to date with the laws. Other tasks of a DNR include enforcing the laws related to hunting and fishing, trapping, navigation, snowmobiling and all-terrain vehicles. They investigate incidents involving outdoor recreation. Another one of their jobs is that they inspect game breeders, taxidermists , bait dealers and any other commercial users. They educate adults and children through their hunter education, outdoor skill workshops and other outside courses. They also communicate with schools and community groups through public programs. Also with media including the television , newspaper and the radio shows. Another job that they do is go to different lakes with trucks to have fish releases to help keep a large flow of fish in a pond/lake. A DNR has to have a lot of experience. In the scott county area a typical DNR works from about 7a.m to 5p.m. As a park ranger you have to make sure that everyone that is camping is paying for their nightly staying fees. The only thing that i would not like about being a DNR is the fact of the weather conditions.

College programs in this field take about 2 to 4 years to complete and leads to an associate's or bachelor's degree. You have to be interested in the environment and nature concerns. You have to be able to handle heavy workloads. Leadership skills are important for you to have. It is good if you are able to talk fine in front of groups of people. You can get good work experience by working in a state park. have. When you get a job as a DNR you get a vehicle that they let you drive. It will usually be a truck that you are driving around. If you are a person that is just driving around and that is it then you usually get a car to drive around. If you are doing work though then you will be driving in a truck that is there for you. Sometimes you will be driving in a boat so you will have to have a boat license. They drive around on the river and stop boats to make sure they have all of their proper paperwork. As a DNR you are responsible for the people that are staying at a campground.
If someone is hurt then if they can not help then they have vehicles that can take you to a hospital. If there is anything against the rules that is going on in the campground then they are the people that are gonna respond to the problem. They do not have to have permission from a police officer to make an arrest. They have a lot of responsibility, that is why they work a lot. They must get a certain amount of work done a day. They need a whole lot of education and training. A DNR must go through a lot of research and have a lot of time put into what they do. You will have to do a lot of work before actually becoming a DNR. You also have to have a lot of outside experience with the nature. Most of my information came from previous research that i have done. A lot of it came from the previous powerpoints that i have made for becoming a DNR. I already knew a lot of the information that i put into this paper considering that i have wanted to become one since i have been a child. One of the websites that i used in my power point is called State Career

Without them many of the reported complaints would have not been reported creating a higher number in the dark figure crime. Also reporting a complaint does not necessarily mean you will be creating a lawsuit against an officer. Each complaint goes through rigorous rulings and steps in order for it to be a serious offense or crime. Like any other crime, you’ll have to report a statement in person describing what has happened, where it happened and the description of the officer. Next they will asks witnesses about your account to make sure you’re telling the truth and to add evidence to your story. After the witness statements they will begin to gather evidence. Being that they have subpoena powers, they’re able to access many documents that authoritative figures can have including police department records. They will then conduct multiple interviews with the police officer who is likely to be charged and his/her witnesses. Like dealing in a court office, police officers must appear to the civilian review board to be interviewed and they have to be honest with answering questions. When they 've collected all their evidence and statements, the case is prepared by an investigator who then proceeds to give it to the board. Three board members review the case and decided whether the police officer was unjust or not. If they believe the police office was being unjust, the case is taken to the police
To become a forensic pathologist, the minimum amount of college education is around 13 years (Van Berkel). It takes up an immense amount of time to become an medical examiner, and as such, the field is underemployed, leading to those inefficiencies in the offices. Eliminating the coroner position does not help nor stimulate the growth of the field, since the coroner position is relatively easy to become without any college requirements. As an elected official, a coroner has the power to make decisions and is the best representatives of a community’s needs and values (Parrott). The debate should not be on eliminating the coroner position, as the job maintains the balance of workload and represents the wishes of the people in the state who elected the official.

Registered nurses are some of the many men and women running around hospitals, nursing homes, or doctors offices wearing scrubs. In law enforcement, discretion is left up to each police officer to make responsible and reasonable decisions on situations while in the field. A police officer will have no choice but to use discretion in certain situations and make decisions on what type of force or punishment is necessary for the situations. Many people in the society always believe that police officers can make any decision they wish to at any time while working. This is very wrong because there are situations whereby a police officer or even the chief of police has no other choice, but to follow the law in making decisions. The role of the police administrator is double challenging because, he/she must determine how best to use discretion as well as encourage or dissuade discretion by subordinate members ...

Taking biology, chemistry, business, and public speaking classes while in high school is a great help when it comes to getting a degree in mortuary science (collegegrad.com). Communications courses are also helpful to take before going into mortuary science (nfda.org). When going to college for a mortuary science degree, the typical classes to take include: ethics, grief counseling, funeral service, business law, embalming, and restorative techniques (collegegrad.com). The education requirements to become a funeral director are to: have a high school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited program requires the completion of an associate’s degree, the completion of approximately forty-five credits specifically in mortuary science; an internship or apprenticeship ranging from one to three years; and passing a state examination (nfda.org). To take the funeral directing and embalming exam, one must be twenty-one years old, have completed two years in an ABFSE mortuary science program, and serve/have served an apprenticeship lasting one to three years (ibid). The required apprenticeship of one to three years can be completed before, during, or after earning a mortuary science degree (ibid). Funeral directors and embalmers must be licensed in Washington, D.C. and the state where they are employed, with an exception for Colorado
Nursing is one of the onerous and highly demanded professions in the U.S. as they work to promote good health and prevent illnesses. Registered nurses (RNs) inform patients and the public about various medical conditions; treat patients and help in their rehabilitation; and provide guidance as well as emotional support to patients' families. RNs use substantial judgement in providing a wide variety of services in our society. As other future nurses, my main source of inspiration to become a nurse comes from an intrinsic desire to help other people and care for them in times of need. I am also a person who thrives being challenged, so nursing suits me as few other careers that offer as much diversity and learning opportunities. Registered Nurses

The nursing profession is constantly in a state of change becoming more complex over time. Registered nurses work to prevent disease, promote health and help patients cope. They develop and manage nursing care plans, instruct proper outpatient care, and help improve and maintain health within their community. They are educators of health governed by state laws. Registered nurses can work in many different settings which determine their daily job duties. Depending on their level of training a RN could work with geriatrics, in intensive care units, as an educator, as clinical study observers, a midwife, oncology, or palliative care. Hospital nurses make up the majority of the RN group. They work as staff nurses who carryout medical regimens and provide bedside care. Most registered nurses work in well-lighted comfortable facilities, work nights, weekends, and holidays, and spend a considerable amount of time on their feet. They have to be available at a moment’s notice. Nursing also has its hazards all employees of care facilities are at risk for infectious disease, radiation poisoning, back injuries, shocks from electrical equipment, and hazards posed by compressed gas. Nurses are the link between doctors and patients.
