What makes a Christian life Christian? To me a Christian life is where you believe that God is your lord and savior and that you have faith that what happens in your life is by the grace of God. Also in a Christian life, many events can happen that test you as a Christian. God has made a plan for every single person’s life and many people try to change Gods plan with their own plan for their life. A Christian life is Christian when you have faith that God has a plan for you and that in the end the plan will work out in your favor. As a Christian I do believe that God has a plan for me that in the end it will work out in my favor and I have to have patience. Sometimes I must reassure myself that God has my back and he is looking out for my best interest in the long run. I believe that everyone, at least once, has had a hard time to understand something has happened to them and to have the faith to believe that it is God’s plan for your life. In the long run, I do believe that everything that has happened this far in my life has happened in the benefit for me and has also shaped me to be the person that I am today. Many people think that they can’t …show more content…
I pray for everything happening in my life whether it be good or bad. I think many Christians today only turn to God when something is going their way they never take time to just thank God for all the good things he has put into your life. I have even been guilty for this on more than one occasion. But I have gotten to the point in my life where I am thankful for everything that God has put into my life whether it be good or bad. This also goes for friends, I thank God for every single person that he has put into my life because they have shaped me into the person I am today. Many people have tried to have their own plans for their life instead of Gods plan for them and it always ends up falling
Biblical Christianity is a very simple thing in essence. God incarnate gave his life for our sins so that if we believe in Him we shall have eternal life. Most would agree that this is very basic in nature. The actual life leading up to and following this decision happens to be the interesting part that is shrouded in much confusion in the world today. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury actually manages to offer loads of simple clarity on what this Christian life basically consists of through the life of Guy Montag as a fireman, his pursuit of knowledge and knowledge’s pursuit of him, and his ultimate escape into freedom.
I remember attending St. Mary’s open house when I was in fifth grade and instantly knew that it was something special. Unlike most people, I have the unique perspective of going to both a public school and a Catholic school. St. Mary is very different from my old school. Looking back at my time here, I realize that St.Mary is a much better fit for me. It is a better fit socially, academically, and spiritually.
Christianity has grounded our lives in the living God as revealed through Jesus. This belief must be a choice people make as well as a gift we all receive within the Christian community. Christians must trust in and rely upon God as the source of everything in their lives. Faith is about believing in the trinity; God, Jesus the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit as three in one. Christians follow Jesus’ teachings and answer the call to be his disciples in the world. Christian faith is looking forward to joining God in the future and entering into the coming kingdom that God has promised His followers through Jesus. Christians join together in reflecting with each other in the Christian community about the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ. Christians believe in the “new life in Christ,” which is the gift of God’s grace; such rebirth and personal assurance gives all new eyes to see the living truth in Scripture. The Christian worldview may differ in different denominations of Christianity but only exist because of their belief of God and Jesus.
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. God himself will be with them as their God” (Revelation 21:3). The most confusing part of Christianity is the Trinity. Understanding God in three persons is difficult. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Humanity is to trust in the Father’s providential care; trust in the Son 's forgiving, justifying work; and trust in the Spirit 's comfort and witness to the truth of the Word (Johnson, 2014). Christianity will therefore change the way a person thinks and behaves. To live for Christ and have the Holy Spirit means that one dies to themselves. Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians
The common goal of Christianity is to spread faith and good morals, and we give inspiration. We try to be a good influence in the world and try to make an impact on people lives. Our ambition is to be like God. Everyone is not perfect, so we also try to improve ourselves as well as others. Another goal is to be
In conclusion, my worldview encapsulates the fact that a God exists and he has created the human race in his image. Being created in his image, I am bestowed with God’s character of love, kindness, righteousness, forgiveness, and all other great attributes expressed by him. Our duty as those who claim the title “Christian” is to live with a Christ like attitude and to walk the walk instead of just talking the talk. I need to put my knowledge, talents, and skills to work for Christ till his return. The choice to live my life for him is what gives my life meaning and purpose.
Having this Christian faith also makes for a better way to live your life. It also explains of how everything came to be and why God put things as they are and it gives all a purpose to life. Does going through heaven do are love ones allowed to come back to earth. One think that crossed mind did Jesus have a church where he had his teaching or did he just travel around preaching. Also that is it true that the Christian have allowed or accept homosexuality and not consider a sin. Christians life looks to be more alike God and this shows because they consider God in answer to most unexplained things. Christians seem to have a more loving behavior. Also having a Christian faith makes peoples more motived to be better and have great connection to God. The Christian I have met are some of the better people in my life you can just tell from square one how different they are compare to
The rise of Christianity in western civilization is arguably among the most important memories in history. There is no denying what the spread of Christianity has done for the world, for better or worse. Its impact on western civilizations is unrivaled and unprecedented. Christianity slowly became something for many individuals to turn to; in times of hurt its provided comfort, in times of pleasure it has given thanks. The will and belief for salvation has driven individuals to be better, and to have a reference while in need. The rise of Christianity more than 2000 years ago provided necessary building blocks for the future. Without Christianity there would be no cathedrals, no monasteries, no music from one Johann Sebastian Bach, no paintings from Michelangelo, nor no philosophy from Saint Augustine (Backman 205). There are countless times in history, whether good or bad, that can be credited to
Ideally, according to the Christian view, Christianity is to believe in Jesus even when he is not visible. In other words, Christians walk by faith and not by sight. Furthermore, Christianity involves consistency of morality which entails features that requires people to be honest and truthful in all areas in life. Overall, the emergence of Christianity was concerned with a spiritual, not earthly kingdom.
What is Christianity and why has it been able to develop into a continuously growing and evolving religion?
The following essay will evaluate the importance of the journey that takes place from Systematic to Practical theology; this view will be explored through Ronelle Sonnenberg’s research done regarding ‘being together’ in a youth setting. Every Sunday. Stares and disappointment. I sat with my grandmother at this big church. People would stare when they realized I didn't know the prayers or songs. I was trying to learn more about religion why did I feel so scared? Am I going to find where I belong? Will I have enough time? These are questions I sometimes have to ask myself. When I was little I explored many religions but now that i'm older I am frightened about faith.
Christianity is a religion based off of the teachings of Jesus Christ, known as the Son of God and “the Anointed One”. It teaches us that there is and continues to be but one divine God of our universe who died on the cross for our sins. We all, as human beings, live in a broken world where only he can save us. Through a combination of reading passages of the Bible, a collection of Christian scriptures, prayer, and worship one can reach salvation and live with him in the everlasting kingdom of heaven. Christianity is based on having a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, our savior.
A philosophy of Christian education encompasses many aspects that overlap areas of a child 's life that could not be nurtured and molded in a public school setting. Therefore, the Christian philosophy of education must include so much more. The Bible must be used as the basis for the education of children. A child should be taught in a way that will best benefit the individual that God created. He should be trained in his own way, the way he learns best. In order to do that, teachers must be able to assess their students in a manner that will reveal the learning styles that best fit each child. By doing this, the best possible education can be given to each student. Proverbs 22:6 states, "Train up a child in the way he should go..." The ways
Jesus Christ was the light that came to earth to brighten the lives of the people. He taught phenomenal and meaningful lessons that changed many hearts and caused people to accept Jesus as their Lord. Jesus Christ is the life of Christianity; the Word of God in flesh. His life, his ministry, and his crucifixion where prophesied long before he was born and Christians believe that they were all fulfilled. He had so much love for human kind that he came to earth to die for the sins of the people, so that their souls would be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible testifies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who taught memorable life lessons and performed astonishing miracles during his ministry.
