There are indeed many individuals that have amusing thoughts and questions that absorb their minds. What is the purpose of living if we are eventually going to departure from this world? Why even bother to live? There is a point in everyone’s life where they asked themselves these questions, because we live in a polluted planet where we suffer from a diverse of conflicts. In today’s world, many people see their life pointless due to economic, health, and self issues. Without any doubts many ignore the fact that there’s numerous reasons of our existence here on Earth. There is something that every person must do before they decease. What is the logic to wait for death without accomplishing good things in the community? A common like way that people have helped within their environment is by teaching and helping others. Occasionally we are willing to give those who need a hand, help. For example, we support those who live in poverty, at wars, hospital, volunteer work, basically anything that has a positive cause and reward. We are able to give these people hope that life is indeed worth fighting and live for. Not only can one help another human being, but you can also help save the animals and the enviroment that we live in. Very few realize if animals in the ecosystem were to disappear, so will everything else in the world. Love is a physical and metal emotion that plays an important role in life. Love is the first affection that we all receive from our family even before we are born. As we grow we develop feelings toward those who are part of our daily life such as family and friends. At least one point in our life we have said that we loved someone. I believe that with love many people stay away from negative thoughts and bound to live a much more happier life. In most cases, love is what makes people want to live longer. It makes people strive to do more than they thought that they could ever do and pursue them to stay …show more content…
This lady has integrated her complex ill life with my brother and me. On July 1995, she fell on her back while she was working. She was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with two herniated disc. On November of 2002 she had another fall at a ShopRite parking lot increasing the amount herniated disc in her body, as of today she has a total of four. Moreover, just recently her specialist discovered a muscle displacement on her shoulder. As a result of all these accidents she was labeled disabled. When the first incident occurred, I was four years old and my brother was two and as a single mom, she had to keep up with the household, doctor’s appointments, and our education. Even though she has health issues she still manages and managed to play the role of a healthy mother. There was never a "NO" when my bother and I wanted to go to the park or do any activity that children like to do. Even though she can't perform some tasks today, my mother has satisfied us by taking us to different places and travel. This demonstrates that her sacrifices, motivation, and dedication towards my brother and I make her live. We are the reason why she's willing to wake up every morning knowing that her two children adore
When learning about Humes one of the most interesting parts of his philosophical theory was suicide. He blatantly attacks others’ views, that we have a job and duty to God, to live and in turn to not kill ourselves. He tries to challenge the rationality of suicide and unfortunately does not come to a complete conclusion. Many even criticize is his attempts at destroying the duty theory. One must consider as if stepping into Hume’s thoughts, one must ask several questions. Does suicide make sense? If so, is there ever a rational time to commit suicide? And if there can be a rational time, is life worth living in the first place? Why is it such a controversial topic? When considering these questions one must step back and view the opinion at
Many subjects have been spoken of over the history human beings. For some time it may have a world war, at other times a great recession, in another day it would have been a very fast athlete, at others the final match of Champions League and many more. Yet in all these occurrences that grip the human mind for some time there is no occurrence more spoken than the crucifixion of a man called Jesus Christ (Zugibe 33). His crucifixion has even been a study for the entire lifetime of many people. Institutions have been built primarily for the purpose of studying this crucifixion. Some have said this crucifixion has changed their lives. Others have retorted that it has lifted off their worries. It is widely known and embraced. However, aside from all this, with all the goodness this man Jesus Christ is preached to have, many wonder why he would be killed on a cross.
Suicide is the only simple act that gives man absolute control of his life. Everyone from an early age contemplates and fantasizes with the idea of being able to end their life. Throughout time, this act has become more accepted, and easier to accomplish. Many people today believe there are reasons to justifiably end one’s own life. Though, through Christianity, it is found that not only is suicide wrong, but is the only simple act that will condemn one to hell.
Pain is universal. In life, everyone will feel pain; it is inevitable and cruel. Physical or emotional, insignificant or severe, it is there. The pain continues mounting into an unbearable amount of suffering. Suffering that blots out everything of worth, such as family, love, aspirations, and optimism. Hopelessness seizes any will to endure. With no way to subside or control the pain, often one will go to extremes in order to be free of it. Many take their life, in order to escape the horror. Committing suicide is a traumatizing experience for any and all involved. Life is precious. The chance to live is only given once, and cannot be taken for granted. Preventing even a single life from ending early is imperative and obligatory to everyone. Suicide can never be an option. Why then is it acceptable as an alternative treatment for dire medical conditions? Physician-Assisted Suicides have a negative impact on those involved and is unethical.
Each and every single one of our lives should be thought of as a temple that will take control and live out a great life, without having negative thoughts towards living life. We are blessed to have the chance to live a life to the fullest, but there are sadly people out there who end up having different ideas. Suicide is an act of killing ones self and I find most people to be doing this horrible act because they either have serious depression or have some irrational thought that leads them to suicide.
I’ve known so many people who have had their lives cut short unexpectedly. You never can really know when your last day is, so why waste it doing things that don’t make you happy? So many people settle for less, just because it is easier and more comfortable. Life is short to begin with, and it can be cut even shorter at any possible moment. I think people should take risks and aim for the things that will ultimately leave them satisfied with their life.
“Suicide is a major public health issue; it takes the life of over a million people a year.” (“Suicide Widely”) Suicide is a growing epidemic that has very negative effects and views against it. Suicide is immoral because it is said to taint your soul. Numerous side effects from it can help you understand why it is wrong. Families and friendships are torn apart by the destructive acts. Understandably, people considering killing themselves aren’t immoral because at that point you’re able to go get help and tell someone how you’re feeling. I hope to encourage more awareness for this issue to save more lives and encourage more communication.
It is an unfortunate truth that some see their lives a nothing and decided to take away their own lives with the slip of their own hands. It seems viable to say that if Keats were to know of how many lives are wasted by voluntary suicide, he would be angered to see human beings giving up when he himself fought through his life until his last breath. When Keats learned of his eminent demise, he did not shy away from his life, instead he embraced the hand that life dealt for him and tried to make the worst of a situation into the best of his work. The Academy of American Poets writes, “He felt that death was already upon him, referring to the present as his “posthumous existence.” (The Academy of American Poets) In other words, there is a message to all readers that there is much to live for rather than intentionally snuffing out your life for reasons that are
...ered moral or immoral, one thing stands strong: the value of life over death. Life is hard, and even though euthanasia can be used as a mean to reduce suffering, it should never be used to take the easy way out of life. Another alternative to euthanasia is palliative care for patients that can relieve pain and provide comfort, along with an act of compassion. In all essence, we were born on this earth to live and not to exist.
Suicide, may be said to happen, if and only if, there is an intentional end of someone's life. The doctrine converses that we should never break off anyone’s life, including ours, because life is internally estimable that we should cherish. Therefore chances of that the act, suicide, violating this concept depends on whether a life worthwhile or not. So how do we define a worthwhile life? There is no satisfactory answer. It is ponderable that fragile at best because in moments of despair, nothing seems worthwhile and a Prozac later, everything may be all right again.
...er continue living in an unjust and cruel world, even though they are capable of taking the easy way out. He brings the question of the afterlife for the main reason why humans don’t commit suicide.
Life is the ultimate value for each and every one of us. Probably the single most important thing we can do in life is to serve the purpose in which we were created. I still do not have a clear view of what my Philosophy of life is, but I do have a better understanding of the path I need to take to seek those answers and am well on my way of accomplishing this goal.
Suicide is a much bigger problem than society will admit; the causes, methods, and prevention need to be discussed more openly. Committing suicide probably sounds like a foreign idea to most people, but to the people who think about it, they deal with it every day. More importantly, the question is what leads people to kill themselves? In general, most people do not want to actually kill themselves, even though many people joke about it on a daily basis. Being human, we all have a certain amount of will to live.
Life is a cycle. We are born, we live the life we are given, we die and are reborn again. Everyone lives to accomplish or achieve greatness in the world, make a difference. We are human beings, not vampires, we have blood rushing throughout our veins which makes us alive not immoral. We aren’t meant to live forever, which is why death is part of our cycle of life. Some people suffer when death is near, some are pain free. We make choices for ourselves, just like we make mistakes and learn from them, we have rights, rights to our body and soul. Not everyone enjoys their death because they might suffer. Euthanasia is a painless “assisted physical suicide” it is an option given to terminally ill patients who are suffering and no longer wish to
