Importance of Play: Let the Kid Play Every time a kid plays they are furthering education goals and development cognitive and many other development. Play is most common in preschool and kindergarten years. Some overlook the benefits that play has own a given child. Play can be in various forms, from playground to activities set in classroom by teachers that challenge kids to think creatively and promote children socially. During the preschool or kindergarten years for a child, they may not be trained at being a scholar at algebra or reading a New York times bestselling novel, but teachers can make up very entertaining ways to count and read fun books such as, “Green Eggs and Ham” that strikes most young children attention. Kids who are able to better their social interaction will probably will lead to positive development such as, language development. Play can help children build their vocabulary, just by playing alongside each other. For an example, if a group a kid decides to play or imitate an episode of popular Disney channel show, “Phineas and Ferb”. Phineas and Ferb are kid cartoon characters who use their big ideas, brainstorm, and create inventions to save the day of what could be a boring day of summer vacation. Children who are familiar with the popular TV show will most likely use their big imagination, likewise to Phineas and Ferb. This also, benefits the children who may not be familiar, but by playing with the kids who are familiar. They can be introduce to new words such as platypus in which is an animal, but on the TV show “Phineas and Ferb”, Perry the platypus roles as a secret service agent out to stop the evil scientist, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. So, kids that are engaging in social interaction while playing, they can transfer words that lead to a more enhance
