We all want things, just like Lennie. It is in our human nature. Lennie wanted to be able to touch and hold things that were impossible for him to. His size, strength and intelligence/mentality were some of his characteristics that got in the way. Lennie’s wants made him responsible for every major act that took place in the development of the plot. All Lennie and George ever dreamed of was to have their own land.
