The phenomenal Lebron Raymone James was born a wintry day on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. James is the only child of Gloria James. His mother struggled to provide for James during his childhood. During his childhood, James lived in a foster home for years while in elementary school. Taller and more athletic than other children James showed a natural talent for basketball at an early age. James started off playing AAU basketball coached by Dru Joyce II and was recruited by St. Vincient St. Mary High School, a predominantly white private Catholic school to play become apart of the school’s team. James had a successful four years in high school. In 1999-00, James averaged 18 points per game his freshman year. Lebron James is a well known professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Lebron is often referred to as one of the greatest to ever pick up a basketball. Lebron makes money from playing basketball but a substantial amount of his income comes from sponsorships and endorsement deals with outside brands.
