Of course Fidel influenced others, no matter how crazy or radical someone 's beliefs and theories are, there is always going to be someone that will agree with them! Fidel 's ways of ruling and his success spread rapidly among government officials and citizens of different states. Many people see his government policies and political beliefs to be a very efficient way of ruling. Although his tactics were sometimes cruel and even inhumane they were all a part of his end goal to achieve ultimate supremacy. Any leader would dream of achieving what he has accomplished such as a strong army, obedient people, strict government, stable economy, strong military and so much more. Fidel lead his nation to become a super power and that is what many leaders want! Fidel has influenced many leaders even to this day, many are similar in the way that they don 't care who is harmed in the process as long as it doesn 't affect them or their goal. An important part of the characteristic is "that it promotes justice", but Castro didn 't care about anyone but himself. He didn 't care if his influence promoted justice, he wanted power. Since Fidel was a master of deception, it appeared that he actually cared and many people were inspired by him. Yet his following quickly lessened as truths began to be revealed. Once people began to realize what a monster he truly was, not many were influenced by him to promote justice. In conclusion Fidel Castro was able to accomplish a lot, but in the end did not influence others in a manner that promotes
Fidel was acclaimed to be intellectually gifted by his teachers, but was a trouble maker. Despite his mischievous conduct, he was a self-disciplined student and had a great deal of Spanish pride which he learned from his teachers as well as his priest (Source F). During Castro’s schooling he did not focus solely on his academics, but he focused primarily in athletics such as baseball, in which he earned a award in 1945 as the country’s best secondary school athlete((Source F).Castro was also
Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz was born on the 13th of August, 1926, the third of six children, and the son of a wealthy sugar plantation owner. After Castro graduated from El Colegio de Belen in 1945, he entered law school at the University of Havana. It was during this period that Castro began to become involved politics, taking an interest in the political climate of Cuban nationalism, anti-imperialism, socialism, and social justice (http://www.biography.com/articles/fidel-castro-9241487, 2009). Castro immediately became involved with student protests, whose student groups were known to be violent and often armed, which can be attributed to the fact that there had been a government crackdown on these protesters, with students sometimes being killed or terrorized (The Real Fidel Castro, p16-17, 2003). Brutality was already present in the political system, perhaps a sign that brutality would be needed to change it.
As Warren Bennis, a scholar on the subject of leadership, once said, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” This statement certainly holds true no matter what type of leader you look at. From cruel dictators such as Joseph Stalin, who fought and killed to stay in power, to peaceful leaders like Mohandas Gandhi, who used nonviolent tactics to emancipate India from the United Kingdom, to Jesus Christ, who started a religion and spread his message of love and forgiveness far across the globe, they all had a vision of how they wanted to change the world, for the better, or for the worse.
Cuba's political history carries a pattern: when the masses are disillusioned by the current ruler, they turn to a young, strong-willed leader-of-the-people as their new ruler, only to become disillusioned to that ruler when he becomes too oppressive. It has seemed a never- ending cycle. Batista and Castro were both well-regarded leaders initially who appealed strongly to the masses and common citizen. Later, both established dictatorships and lost the support of many of those that they governed. Castro and Batista are each guilt of repression and corruption within their governments. For example, at some point under each regime, the constitution was either suspended or not followed at all. Castro did, though, make one very important contribution to Cuba's political system: Socialism. For the first time, Castro and Che Guevara a socialist plan called the New Man theory which called for developing an ideology amongst citizens that would call for working not for personal enrichment, but for social betterment.
Fidel Castro has most certainly been a controversial dictator during his reign in Cuba. His regime has made quite the infamous name for itself during the sixties. When news spread of his, for some, long anticipated death, some were riddled with joy and took to the streets with celebration. Others were solemn for the fall of an impactful leader. However, no one could deny that he left a legacy. Majority of what we hear about Fidel Castro in the United States is negative, seeing that Fidel ousted United States backed dictator Batista and positioned himself against the United States throughout much of his time in power. It shouldn’t be forgotten that Fidel has done pretty indefensible things while in charge but he also is not totally devoid of
Everyone knows the name Fidel Castro, the revolutionary of Cuba. At the University of Havana in 1945 is where Fidel Castro began his long and treacherous journey as a radical nationalist. (Fidel: The Untold Story). He fought the infamous Flugencio Batista in the name of social justice until victory was won. He claimed to have fought for a democratic Cuba and a restoration of constitutional government and Cuban sovereignty, but he also stood for socialism and communist ideals. As Tim Padgett from Times Magazine on page 42 stated “Fidel imported old-world Marxism and its perverse notion that social justice is best delivered via the injustice of autocracy.” He supported everything the US and pro-democracy states despised and stood as a revolutionary
All in all, Fidel Castro had both good parts of his life, and bad one’s too. He had the biggest impact on America than any other person has. Even though he hasn’t did anything to help America, he did almost have use go through a third world war. If it wasn’t for Castro, if it wasn’t for his uprising, Russia would of sent a nuclear missile to us someday, and we wouldn’t be alive. You can say, without the missile crisis happening that early, we would of experience an Armageddon, would be living in a recovering post apocalyptic world. And without the Castro impact to this world, nations in Africa wouldn’t be freed, and Cuba would of had an even worst uprising.
Castro implemented additional significant social-economical polices which further more increased his popularity with in the public order, such as attempts towards improving health care, medical facilities, and tourism, but mostly highlighting the importance of education by drastically transforming the Cuban educational system. Achieving an extraordinary change required Castro to start the “1961 literacy campaign” which called for raising the literacy rate percentage in the Cuban society, by allowing education and it’s equipment free of charge, building schools, increasing the amount of teachers per student, and making it available to all ages who desired to peruse education. These reforms where a major increase in Castro’s popularity. “The quality of life lies in knowledge”- Fidel Castro (The Right Priorities: Health, Education, and Literacy. PBS.o...
...Cold War. His status as dictator is opposed by many nations because of the violations against the human rights of his people and his actions under a Communist government. In 2006, Fidel’s health began to deteriorate after he had abdominal surgery and he temporarily stepped out of office by giving control of the government to his brother, Raúl. Finally in 2008, Fidel Castro announces his retirement and Raúl takes over as president of Cuba, still allowing the Castro family to have prime control over Cuba. Many to this day believe that Castro was a force for good in Cuba, yet these are met by the people who suffered and tried to escape Cuba. Although the distrust and resentment among the United States and Cuba stays intact with the embargo around the island, Fidel Castro is still seen as an incredibly significant historical figure during the post World War II era.

Castro was highly educated for the twentieth century in Cuba, earning a Doctorate in Law. However his success in life did not come to him as a lawyer, but as a ruthless politician and revolutionary. How to become a successful and strong leader? What are essential characteristics that are imperative to become one? These questions were asked many centuries ago, as well as they are asked today. Niccolo Machiavelli wrote one of the most influential treatises on leadership that is still utilized in politics and management today. One of the defining conceptions he explores is locating a balance between being virtuous and righteous and practicing carefully selected deceit and cunning.
Castro’s involvement with the foreign and domestic politics during the early Cold War period greatly influenced the outcome of the Cuban Revolution. Without the actions taken by foreign powers like the United States and Russia, some events on the domestic front may have had very different results. It is important to understand how every nation’s foreign policies can influence more than just one other nation, and this was especially true for Cuba. It was because of these events that produced the communist Cuba that we are familiar with today.
Among those leaders, Fidel Castro is the most influential one. Fidel Castro as the former revolutionary leader, in 1959, he took his brother Raul Castro and Che Guevara, led the people in Cuba overturn the Batistuta dictatorship that supported by United States. In many decades, United States was unhappy about Cuba, which lead by Castro, and set the blockade and embargo towards Cuba. Fidel Castro was so insist about revolution and never give in. He always wears the khaki military uniform in public to represent his determination as a revolutionary. In 1960s, the central intelligence agency (CIA) of America organized Cuban mercenaries several times to armed landing and tried to assassinate Castro, in order to change the revolutionary regime under Castro’s power. Castro once said that in his life, he has bee. Few years ago, the U.S former president Mr. Clinton mock ups him in a speech. Moreover he should have the organizational ability and has the ambition to make his country powerful in the world. In addition, he could use his words to twist and manipulate the minds of people into believing that what he was saying. He should be skillful in carry out successful policy to bring the country to economic prospect, since economy is very important to a country.
I believe that there are three main character traits that define a good leader; their ability to move a nation with their speeches, their ability to think about and plan for the future of their people and nation, and their ability to be able to command the nation 's forces correctly. All good and well defining character traits that I believe that Adolf Hitler possessed when he came to power in Germany during January 1933.
