There is a strong correlation between the amount of leadership traits with the degree of referent power and personal power an animal may have. The most successful animals leaders also depend on these types of power. What became a surprise was that physical appearness did not play so much a factor in the quality of leadership in the animals. The largeness of the animals may have made it easier to notice that they had a leadership role. The leaders with some of the least traits where the larger animals such a the Bruce. Although Bruce was the leader of two other sharks, his power over them was constantly tested. Bruce ruled that, “fish are friends, not food” and should not be hunted. For example Assistant Mayor Bellwether from Zootopia who is a small female sheep. In the fall of the mayor of Zootopia, Assistant Mayor Bellwether assumes the role as mayor. For much of the movie Bellwether, takes constant abuse from the current mayor who is a male lion. Despite her abuse, she maintains a rational adult ego state. Towards the end of the movie Judy threatens Bellwether’s power and Bellwether switches to parent controlling state. She begins to demand Judy to do things without regard for the manner in which she does so. When Judy survives Bellwether’s attempt to assasin her, Bellwether switches to child rebelling ego state. This is where she admits that she framed the previous mayor and sassily says that she will frame Judy too. In response to that, Judy revealed that she was recording Bellwethers confession. Bellwether quickly slipped into child conforming ego state. She let out a deep gasp and stepped back as she turned around to see that she was surrounded by Judy’s fellow officers. She didn’t fight the she just pouted and sunk back as she let them detain
