His father was never really there for him; In his song, “Castle Made of Sand”, he explains, “If you know where I came from you know what i’ve been through you think there should have been another outcome just like most kids, a father I did it without one”. “Castle Made of Sand” talks about his life and his mother’s struggle through life. Perez reflects that when he was growing up his mom played him motivational tapes by Anthony Robbins and she was the first person to ever believe in him.The most important thing his mom ever taught him was how to survive in life. When he talks about his childhood he always says, “ I grew up all over Miami good neighborhoods, bad neighborhoods and worst neighborhoods.” He then goes on the explain that staying out of trouble was not easy and that was a constant struggle for him. Her father once told her, “Consuelo you’re not poor; You’re rich in traditions, you’re rich in culture and you’re rich in faith. And I have taught you that with a spirit of willingness and the spirit of forgiveness you too will rise above because you live in the most democratic nation, American hija! And don’t you dare think because you think now that your poor that you can think poorly, act poorly, or behave poorly. You’re rich and don’t you forget it!”(cool speakers). The most important lesson her parents taught her were work hard. Her mother once told her, “Do a job so well done that even when you're not there your work will speak for you.” All of this shaped who she is as a person but she also had to live through what everyone else who is from places like El Rincon del Barrio. Consuelo Kickbusch and Eva Longoria were both born in Texas but they are both activists as well. Pitbull and Eva Longoria are in the entertainment industry. Pitbull and kickbusch share something different, they both share a bond with a teacher that growing up changed their life. For Pitbull it was Mrs. Martinez and for Kickbusch it was Mr. Cooper. Even though they all lived different lives they all lived through some of the same things growing up. They all had to overcome discrimination, poverty or maybe even illiteracy but at the end of the day they turned out to be very successful people. Not only is Pitbull, Kickbusch and Longoria are making history people in our communities as well. They are starting to believe Latinos can be successful and proud. Making history is what it’s all about. Latinos fight till the end and break down barriers.
People are discriminated against because of their race and social position every day. This has been going on for hundreds of years. In Mexican White Boy, Danny and Uno were discriminated against by people around them for being different, but along the way of discovering themselves, they form an unbreakable friendship.
When someone say’s “hispanic,” what definition comes to mind? Hispanics are not one nationality, nor one culture. Instead, Hispanics are greatly diverse people. Our language and cultural origins are Spanish and Latin American, regardless of race and color. Hispanics can be European, Indian, or of African descent, or any combination of the three. The culture could be linked to Mexico, the Caribbean countries, Central America, South America and Spain. Hispanics were once considered a rarity in the United States, now we are found throughout the country.
The increase and changing demography in the United State today, with the disparities in the health status of people from different cultural backgrounds has been a challenge for health care professionals to consider cultural diversity as a priority. They face many issues such as economic instability, depression, loneliness, fear of being alone and feeling betrayed. Children feel depressed in cases like this because even at a young age they know that things are not okay. They also suffer from fear and being betrayed, they suffer fear because they 're scared of what is going to happen to their family since they 're so used to having their family together. Many times children who face this situations feel like they’ve been betrayed because they don’t know why their mother or father have gone away and not came back. The psychologist mentions that it’s very normal for children to feel this way and conduct a different behaviour than usual because just like everyone else they don’t seem to understand

From the beginning of the United States, immigrants have always played an integral role. The nation itself was built on immigration, whether to escape persecution or war; however, the United States, as it progressed has had instances where immigrant groups have had issues assimilating into society whether due to the political wave running through the nation or from an economic depression. One group, that has been experiencing this difficulty assimilating into society has been Mexicans who have, since the beginning of the 1960’s, have been coming over in droves to escape the poverty, corruption, and drugs that run rampant in Mexico. So, although the United States was established on immigration, the United States has had an issue with the incoming
Though a popular definition of immigration is believed to be a process pertaining to, set-up and controlled by a government, it's true denotation is moving into a foreign country with the intent to permanently live there, and when one studies history, the most prominent, influential events were the movement of people into a new land, either due to exploration, seeking refuge, or a number of other situations that `are abundant in history. Yet the majority of the time it has led to destruction and chaos for at least one group involved. This is exemplified well in the colonization of the Americas. As European settlers flooded into the New World, the forefront of their arrival was a tsunami of disease that wiped out up to ninety five percent of

According to American Immigration Council (AIC), the body of law governing current immigration policy, provides for an annual worldwide limit of 675,000 permanent immigrants, with certain exceptions for close family members (AIC, 2014). Everyone has different opinions about the change, but I am more interested in the reason behind why people migrate to United
Have you ever thought of why people commit illegal immigration? Even though they know very well that once they are caught, they would be sent to detention faculty and then get sent back to the place they escaped from. I bet you haven’t even given it the slightest thought. I bet all you care about is the word “law.” Law is a system made by people that people use to uphold justice and fairness on people who committed a crime. Laws is not perfect. What we seek in our life is not a law that is imperfect, what we seek is the truth behind the word “why”. The truth behind the question, “Why did they do it?”. In illegal immigration, the answer to the question is that they seek a better life.
