Recommended: How to prevent mass shootings essay

Firstly, I would like to offer my condolences to anyone affected by the shooting in Las Vegas last night. This is officially the worst mass shooting in American history. Consequently, something needs to be done to prevent something like this from happening again to any degree. Many of you may argue that it is not the time to discuss politics immediately following a tragedy; however, the best way to learn from these events is to take action early. When lives are lost, it is important to ask ourselves what we as a nation can do better and, unfortunately enacting change (usually) requires government implementation.
