Landscaping business remains essential in preserving natural beauty in the world. Personally, with any business, the key is to keep the motto simple. To your point, always provide quality products matched with great service, and customers will remain loyal. Honestly, there is no one way to prevent competition from entering into any market, if a product or service is producing profit, everyone business will want a piece of the pie. According to Thomas & Maurice (2010), strong barriers of entry makes it difficult for new firms to enter, but it does not stop entry from happening. To that point, all companies at some point will face government barriers, whether large or small.
Furthermore, when starting a business, the owners must

act in accordance with government rules and pay substantial fees, all before they can even begin selling their products or services. For instance, all business must secure a business license before operating; this process includes completing I-9 forms, paying fees, insurance, adhering to employee labor laws and presenting a sound financial business plan. Clearly, government regulations require business in some states to obtain a state nursery license before selling plants to customers (Vaughan & Mackes, 2016).
Indeed, consumer lock-in and network externalities cannot be controlled in such market; however, such business can create value based on quality and service that retains customers. Overall, the barriers of government would be the only true barrier that would potentially increase expenses long-term. On the other hand, the economies of scale, essential input, and brand loyalty could different work in the business favor; however, this would not prevent competitors from entering into a profitable market because the rewards outweigh the risk.
