The Lake
Living on the lake brings me happiness everyday. Once I step outside, I see the sun reflecting off of the beautiful water making it shine. The incredible view grabs my attention, even if I just glance at it. The lake reminds me of so many memories I’ve had, especially the first time I learned to ski. That feeling made me love the lake even more. I was filled with confidence when I popped straight up from the water. I felt the cool wind blow through my hair and the warm water splashing up into my face. I could hear the boat’s motor roaring as the boat became faster making me fall. The cushioned seat provided comfort for my tiring muscles. My family and friends told me that I did great, boosting my confidence even more. The hot sun and the cool wind dried me quickly as we cruised down the lake. The smell of the air was very fresh and soothing. I felt so relaxed as the sun gleamed down on me, causing me to fall into a deep sleep.
I woke from one of the most relaxing naps I’ve ever experienced to new voices. The bright sun obstructed my view making it difficult to tell who they were. Once my vision started to clear, I could tell it was some of our buddies that we enjoy spending time with on the lake. They asked if I had learned to ski that day and how it felt. I told them the amazing feeling of it and how fun it was. As I told them, they wanted me to try something new, but it was getting late and the sun was starting to go down.
The sky began to fill with beautiful colors of red, orange, yellow, and pink. It looked like one of the most beautiful paintings I’ve ever seen, but it wasn't on paper, it was reality. As the sky changed, the water began to become smooth and calm. At this moment we had to stop and admire the beauty. So, we went and sat in the middle of the calm lake and relaxed with our friends. The sound of soothing music and the cool air began to fall over us as it started to become darker. I thought to myself, “nothing is better than laying here, watching the beautiful sun set,
