A tragic hero would be a person that deserves to suffer from his or her mistakes on which he or she did on their own. I believe that Macbeth is not a tragic hero because, macbeth knew what he was getting himself into and how bad the consequences would turn out. An example is that Lady Macbeth forced his mind to believe that he should king and she was insulting him on that he is not a man to do the job. To begin with, lady Macbeth would set up the assassination and she would want macbeth to kill Duncan and his sons, Malcolm and Donalbain. So he hired for men to do the job for him. As a result macbeth was told by three witches on how is life would end, but did not know when it would happen, until macbeth was named king and took over as the new king and fortified the castle to protect him for what’s coming. …show more content…

In addition macbeth could be seen as a tragic hero for the purpose that he sees Duncan’s ghost at the dinner table and that gets lack of sleep and has to put up with his annoying wife that’s been driving him crazy. Lady Macbeth eventually died from a sickness and the doctor had no way to cure her and macbeth had no care in the world that she is gone, which causes him to take his position more serious. In conclusion, the reason why i chose why he was not a tragic hero is because, lady macbeth was so anxious to be queen and macbeth really never wanted to kill the Duncan, but since lady macbeth messed with his head, he felt like he should do his own thing.
