Kurt Cobain, lead singer of the infamous band Nirvana was discovered outside of his Seattle home three days after his death by Garry Smith on April 8, 1994. While Cobain’s official death certificate reads suicide, many theories have cropped up over the years that claim to explain neglected attributes to the original case.
Suicide is the most accepted theory to Kurt Cobain’s death, gaining support from not only the Seattle Police Department but Cobain’s own family at the time of death. Cobain was reported to have been clinically depressed for the majority of his life and was crippled with severe drug addiction. In photographs taken of the body viewers can plainly see the medical bracelet for the drug rehab center he had broken out of. He was completely dependent on heroin and was quoted saying “This is the only thing saving me from blowing my head off”. Band members also reported that Cobain was disconnected from his friends and family during his final days. Photos of Kurt Cobain’s body have been stated to show Cobain splayed out on the floor with a shotgun firmly gripped in his hand and a box of

shotgun shells at his feet. A suicide note was also discovered near Cobain. Both Richard Lee and Tom Grant claim that Kurt Cobain was murdered, however Tom Grant's version of the theory targets more specific areas of the investigation.
The first of which being the levels of heroin in Cobain's bloodstream, reported to be 1.52 miligrams per liter by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. However Grant's conclusions based on these numbers have received harsh criticisms because they do not come from the actual autopsy report as autopsies are protected under the privacy act of 1974. Also it can be argued that high concentration does not necessarily equal a high dose, Grant's claim is that the amount in Cobain's blood stream was much too high for him to operate a shotgun. It should also be noted that experts have mixed feelings towards his assessment as some argue that Cobain could have built up a tolerance to the drug and others side with Grant's
conclusion. Grant also targets the suicide note, stating that investigators just assumed that it was written by Cobain and claims that the Seattle Police Department did not fully assess the suicide note. Grant also claims that the suicide note it's self is questionably written, instead of adressing Cobain's wife or daughter Kurt addressed it to Boddah, his childhood imaginary friend. Cobain also only mentions his daughter and wife a total of three times throughout the entirety of the letter. Cobain sighted lines such as "...so remember, it's better to burn out then to fade away" claiming it did not sound like the late rock star. However when Cobain's personal journals were published in 2004, his thought process and sentence structure mirrored that of the suicide letter. Another problem with this aspect of Grant's theory is that handwriting experts can neither confirm or deny whether the letter was actually written by Kurt Cobain. This is because they were asked to analyze a photo copy that Grant took of the suicide note instead of the physical copy. Grant also brings up considerable evidence when concerning the shotgun used. Cobain was found with a remington 2 20 gauge shotgun in his hands but the gun was not checked for finger prints until three years later. At this point in time 4 lantent prints were able to be lifted but they were not able to identify them. The officer on the scene had to pry the shotgun from Cobain's hands and this could explain the lack of usable prints. Grant targets the police reports, pointing out inconsistencies that he claims discredit the investigation. The report states that the shed doors could only be locked from the inside, meaning Cobain would have had to lock them himself however Grant says that they could be locked from the outside as well. Grant makes a note of the lack of usable finger prints on the evidence, stating that there is no definitive connection between Cobain and the shotgun because there are none of his fingerprints on the gun. Grant comes to this conclusion because Cobain's body was discovered with no gloves on and that there were no fingerprints on the suicide note or the pen. Grant also cites the Rome incident where Cobain overdosed on an excessive ammount of pain medication. Grant believes that Courtney Love (Cobain's wife at the time) purposefully tried to overdose Cobain by slipping pain medicine into his drinks. However despite Love claiming he toop 50 Rohypnol pills Love called for help once she discovered her husband on the floor. Family and friends only actively claimed it was a suicide attempt after Cobain was dead, which could have made Grant suspicious. Rosemarry Carroll however is the centerpiece to his entire case as she claims Cobain asked her to come up with a will excluding Love as a benificiary. Carroll claims that he was going to be getting a divorce, which would provide an excellent motive for his murder. However there has been no public comment from Carroll confirming this statement and all we have to go on is Grant's word. Nick Broomfield expands on this theory by trying to uncover a presumibly hidden murder plot constructed by Courtney Love. At the time he was shooting his film, Broomfield believed that Love had hired a hitman to murder him, paying him $50,000 to complete the deed. However he couldn't find enough evidence to convince himself that this was indeed what had happened. He has been reported saying that "..I think..Courtney had moved on and he was expendable...there was no love for Kurt..." It should be noted that Grant has denied profiting from Kurt Cobain's death, stating that it helps fund his ongoing investigation and "if I go broke, I'll have to give up my pursuit and Courtney wins."
He wanted to reinvent himself and have a shot at making it big as a musician. It was not exactly instant success; he had several side jobs such as working at a liquor store and selling vacuums. After playing in a couple different bands for about five years, Nikki met drummer Tommy Lee and the two became quick friends. They set out looking for a guitar player and a singer. After finding Mick Mars and Vince Neil, Motley Crue was formed. The band became a huge success and the band was glorifying in the success. Nikki had made it, mansions, fast cars, and beautiful women all came along with the success of being in Motley Crue. The band was also regarded as one of the hardest partying bands of the time. However, this lifestyle was getting the best of Nikki, aside from the partying he became addicted to drugs. Aside from drugs like cocaine and copious amounts of alcohol, he became heavily addicted to heroin. This is when Nikki was creeping into his darkest depths, according to his autobiography The Heroin Diaries, he claims that “alcohol, cocaine…they were just affairs. When I met heroin, it was true love.” It says in the book that Nikki overdosed on heroin about six times. One of the times was when Nikki was hanging out with the Guns N Roses guitar player, Slash. After he overdosed, Slash’s girlfriend took him to the hospital where he was declared dead. In this situation Nikki claims to have seen himself
W hat went wrong I thought to myself? I remember hearing the news of his death on a local radio station. I've been a Sublime fan since my senior year of high school. The single "Date Rape" made the Chicago airwaves and I was hooked. I did a little research and I discovered that Bradley had been in and out of rehabilitation centers since 1992. Many people that I've talked to about Bradley's death really didn't seem to care. Being a huge Sublime fan, I was angered by their ignorance. Most of the time I heard people say that it was Bradley's fault for taking the drug in the first place, but I came to realize that it really wasn't his fault. Troy Nowell says in the VH1 documentary on Bradley that obviously the drug was "bigger than both of us (Bradley and Troy)". She said he hated what he was doing, and tried to stop numerous times, but the world is ignorant to the fact that this drug, heroin, is extremely physically addictive. Bud Gaugh, the drummer of Sublime, said he used to hug, sweat, and cry with Bradley during his fight with heroin. If it were his choice, Bradley would've stopped using it, but heroin took a hold of his nerves and his entire body.

Newspaper headline: ‘KEITH MILLHOUSE MURDERED IN MANSION.” is across every paper in Rosewood County. Keith Millhouse is.. Or I guess was the richest man in Rosewood. The man had a heart of gold, only wanting to help others in need. Somehow, on a cold October day, though, Keith Millhouse was found strangled, and beaten in his mansion.
Let’s answer this question point blank: No, Chris McCandless, the ‘adventurer extraordinaire’, was not a suicidal human being. Was that too blunt? Got high off of it? Need explanation? Ok, well here are the reasons why; he knew the risks of taking the perilous journey to go “Into the Wild”, if he wanted to die, he would’ve done it sooner and the friendships that he made with people and his notebook (journal?) were far too strong. Those three reasons are why I think he didn’t end his life.
Some Like It Hot, Gentleman Prefer Blondes, and The Seven Year Itch are just a few of the movies that the actress Marilyn Monroe is known for. However the life of the movie star was cut short when she died at age 36 from an acute barbiturate poisoning. It was suspected that Marilyn took her own life, however she could have just as easily been taken out by the Kennedy family to prevent her from spilling all the dirty secrets she knew because of her alleged affairs with John and Robert Kennedy. Monroe was murdered by the Kennedy family in order to keep her from revealing government secrets that she gained knowledge of during the affairs she has with John and Robert Kennedy, which she threatened to make public after both
“When Elvis died results soon were identified several pharmaceutical drugs in Elvis’s system with codeine being ten times the therapeutic level. This started accusations of a cover-up and suggesting conspiracy theories of a sinister criminal act. Pushing 40 years after, modern medicine and forensics took a new look at the Presley case facts and indicated that something entirely different from a heart attack or a drug overdose really killed the King of Rock & Roll” (Rodgers). Many people believe that Elvis provoked to his fans that drugs were ok. Even though Elvis made a mistake, he has so many exceptional influences to cancel out that mistake. Wayne Dyer once said, “When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.” Elvis was a pleasing, religious, uplifting man. Do not judge him for personal mistakes he
In 1992 then pharmacist Robert Ray Courtney started diluting medications that were given to patients by injection or infusion. In 1998 a sales representative from one of the drug companies, Darryl Ashley, noted a discrepancy in the amount of drugs Courtney ordered and dispensed. Eli Lilly was notified and investigated how Courtney was supplied the drugs. Finding that he did not go outside their supply chain, Eli Lilly did not pursue the issue any further. However in 2001 Ashley mentioned this in the office of Dr. Verda Hunter who sent samples of the drug in question to a laboratory for testing (Draper, 2003). In July of 2001 a federal investigation begins and on August 15, 2001 Courtney surrenders to the FBI.
He died 26 years ago this week in a London hotel room, with a girlfriend who couldn't make up her mind to call an ambulance. James Marshall Hendrix had ingested nine German sleeping pills, some wine, and a meal of brown rice. He was 27 years old.
Music can also help people, particularly those going through painful times (such as adolescence) to understand that they are not alone and that other people have the same feelings that they do. After grunge-rock superstar Kurt Cobain committed suicide in April 1994, one fan wrote to Rolling Stone magazine describing how the music of Cobain's band, Nirvana, made her feel. "I could be feeling like total shit," wrote Carrie Loy, "and hear a Nirvana song and end up feeling renewed afterward.
Todd Davidson was following the Grateful Dead on tour with a friend he roomed with. His friend, unknown to Todd, had set up a drug deal to sell LSD. What Todd’s friend did not know was that his ‘customers’ were not looking for a high, they were undercover cops looking for a drug bust. When the police entered the hotel room, they found Todd’s friend, preparing to sell LSD, and Todd sitting separate from him, uninvolved in the crime. The officers arrested the dealer as well as Todd. Todd claimed to have no participation in the deals, and there was no evidence to prove contrarily. However, that did not keep him from prison. Todd was sentenced to 10 years in prison under a mandatory minimum law (Stewart 115).
Another conspiracy theory is that his body was never found so he couldn't have committed suicide. The Russians think that he didn't commit suicide because his real body was never found, it was one of his body doubles. They know it wasn’t him and it was one of his body doubles because the skull the Soviet Union found was a woman's, the blood samples were the blood of a woman. Nick Bellantoni was assigned to examine Hitler's skull, he said "the bone was very small and thin, and normally male bones are much more robust in our species."
Ian Curtis was 23 years old when he hung himself in his home in Macclesfield, England. The events that led to the singers death should have been warning signs of his plans, but his personality kept him from receiving the help he desperately needed. Born on July 15th, 1956 in Manchester, England Ian had a considerably normal childhood to follow. He had one little sister and his working class family were very tightnit with other family members as well as each other. (Curtis 1995)Ian was a cheerful child who loved to read and socialize with the neighborhood boys. During his teenage years he became melancholy and wrote poetry that directly resembled his mood. He spoke of human suffering and hopelessness. He also began abusing drugs and had what appeared to those close to him, an accidental overdose. He became obsessed with rock stars who died young and even glamourized the idea of suicide. (Curtis 1995)
He later referenced Freddie Mercury again in his suicide note when he took his life on April 5th of 1994. “I haven't felt the excitement of listening to as well as creating music along with reading and writing for too many years now. I feel guilty beyond words about these things. For example when we're back stage and the lights go out and the manic roar of the crowds begins., it doesn't affect me the way in which it did for Freddie Mercury, who seemed to love, relish in the love and adoration from the crowd which is something I totally admire and envy,” (Cobain “Letter”). Along with Kurt Cobain, Freddie inspired his own stand in to become a
America's on-going drug abuse epidemic continues into this millenium, and there are many social problems linked to drug use, including suicide. The disparity of daily life in suburbs or the inner cities are why many people have fallen into their reliance on drugs, including alcohol. Patros and Shamoo (1989) describe the abuse of drugs and alcohol as a 'slow form of suicide.' But many drug abusers choose to end their life before drugs have time to claim it by way of an overdose.
