Kobe Bryant lives and dies for every single game. He is a 37 year old guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. Throughout Kobe’s 19 years in the league, he has adjusted to the challenges the National Basketball Association has to offer. Kobe was born in Philadelphia on August 23rd 1978. At a young age Kobe and his family moved to Italy where Kobe’s father, Joe ‘Jellybean’ Bryant left the National Basketball Association to purse a professional career in Italy. Kobe loved the game of basketball at a young age, grew up idolizing Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson. Kobe had a lot of trouble adjusting to Italy, the language wasn’t the same, there wasn’t boys at the local park playing basketball, it was hard for him to make friends. Shaq left the Lakers that offseason and Kobe was left to lead the Lakers. Kobe and the Lakers struggled the next two seasons while Shaq went on to Miami and won another NBA title with Dwayne Wade. Kobe Bryant had the 2nd best scoring output in nba history in 2006 with 81 points in a single game and finished the season averaging 36 points per game. Kobe led the Lakers back to the NBA finals in 2007-2008 but lost to the Boston Celtics in 6 games. Kobe was hungry for revenge and just wanted to come out again, in 2008-2009 Kobe won the league MVP awards and led the Lakers to the NBA finals once again. He finally went on to beat the Celtics in 7 games and win his 4th NBA title and his first without Shaquille O’Neal. 2009-2010 Kobe came out hungry and more determined to win his fifth title, he dominated in every game and didn’t give opponents an opportunity to rest while guarding him. Kobe went on to the finals once again this time beating the Orlando Magic in 5 games and obtaining his fifth NBA title. Kobe wanted one more title to tie Michael Jordan, but Kobe came up short after his career came to a scare after he ruptured his Achilles tendon against the Golden State
