get. In other words, if you can’t say “thank you” to the people who give you something, nature will return this ungratefulness back to you, one day.
This theory is relayed by the following quote from Lao Tzu:
“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.”
In this statement, you have 3 important keywords, which are “words”, “thought”, and “giving”. Now, what does this statement mean, and what impact do these 3 words have on it? This is a very interesting statement because as you read it, you will see that each sentence grows in intensity, leading us from confidence which touches personal growth, then profoundness which touches the soul and wisdom, and then it ends with love

2) Expecting something back from mother nature, after granting someone with your gift, will attract the following energies: The ones triggering hope, the ones helping you understand and tolerate your fellow men, and energies helping you see your fellow man as someone as equal as you.
I find that there’s no better quote to describe the law of gratitude as the giver, then the one formulated by his holiness the 14th Dalia Lama, which goes, “as you breathe in, cherish in, cherish yourself. As you breathe out, cherish all beings.” This statement comes to confirm what we were saying earlier, which is that whatever you receive needs to be a way to be grateful about your personal life, and whenever you give out (described as breath out here), should be a way to celebrate the world around you.
So, remember that gratitude is not only a way to help you get closer to your fellowmen, but it also calls for the universe to unleash its rewards to
Gratitude is a gift that the earth urgently needs. Consistent gratitude is a form of recognition of the gift and the giver. Daily gratitude can help eliminate the need for more and practicing more of only what we need. Gratitude leads to a society of contentment rather than one that's always in need of more. We human individuals have conventions for appreciation; we apply them formally to each other. We say thank you. “We understand that receiving a gift

In Life without Chiefs Marvin Harris demonstrates human evolution from egalitarian existence to present day capitalist structure. He states that for 98% of human existence, our ancestors lived in small foraging communities (Harris, 2009). Where everyone knew each other and people gave things knowing when they needed something those same people would reciprocate. They lived in an egalitarian society where everyone is equal and had the same rights and opportunities. An interesting aspect of our ancestors was they didn’t say “thank you” to the giver, and it wasn’t because they didn’t appreciate it, but that same person who was the giver one day could be the receiver the next. To them “saying ‘thank you’ is very rude. It suggest, first that one has calculated the amount of a gift, and second, that one did not expect the donor to be so generous” (Harris, 274). And again the reason they do this is because everyone is equal, no matter who provides the goods it is evenly distributed so that no one is superior or think they that authority over the band. Harris gives an example from our previo...

In the first section of his book (What You Have Received as Gift, Give as Gift) really make an impact on my views on living a fulfilled life. Everyone has a purpose and a gift on this life and everyone should know that they are somebody and everyone should know this to fulfill a good life. Everyone should work together and use our strengths to help others. God gave all of us a different and unique talent or gift and we should place that gift on others as God has done to us. When we showcase our gifts and talents, we should be grateful and show humility. We should not gloat our talents, but instead help others in order to gain a better understanding of others and the world around us. As Gula says “Gratitude is the virtue that gladly recognizes everything we have received as gifts to be shared, not possessions to be hoarded. Gratitude remembers, too, that God is the giver of these gifts” (Gula 30). My view on this is that gratitude and humility are one of the core values on living the good life because we can use these talents to gain understanding of our own self and others around us. Like God, we can use our gifts to also gain companionship, which God believes to be in reaching a good
When I recognize the state of gratitude in which my heart is enveloped, I immediately embrace the Grace of God! I would never know true gratitude if it were not for God’s grace.
“Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see” – Mark Twain.
When people have gratitude it makes ths country a better place. The people of this country could be caring, or helpful, and our country suffers from the selfish people in it. Gratitude makes a person an American, because they show respect to each and every person they meet and will meet in the future. They have the caring ways to help their friends, and family out at anytime. Gratitude is a trait that should be in any American citizen, because it shows the people of this country that it could be a better place if people would start treating others with kindness. The truth is, as I was growing up, I didn’t see much kindness in the world. People were treating others lousy, worthless, and, horrid. If more people had gratitude ther would be less murders, more love, and so much more faith in the world. Today we see people die, and are used to it. We hear about attacks and absolutely do nothing for the people that need it. Obviously, we need to find more of this stuff called
“Sometimes it 's easy to walk by because we know we can 't change someone 's whole life in a single afternoon. But what we fail to realize it that simple kindness can go a long way toward encouraging someone who is stuck in a desolate place.” ~ Mike Yankoski
The virtue of kindness is not meek it is not niceness. Kindness holds firm to its foundation and values, but it does it in a way that is gentle. Kindness is not naïve, it is wise and discerning (Corey, 211). People confuse being nice as kindness because on the outside both are soft. The inside is what shows the difference. Niceness has no substance, it will go wherever society takes it. Kindness is different, it has a firm, solid center (Corey xv). The components of soft edges and firm centers make kindness warm and inviting and yet it remains deeply rooted to its core beliefs.
... (2001) showed that grateful individuals were especially appreciative of the contribution of others to their happiness. Expressing gratitude and reviewing three good things highlighted this, and reminded me to show my loved ones my gratitude.
...esult, the more directly one sees their personal efforts impact someone else, the more happiness one can gain from the experience of giving. Sometimes generosity requires pushing past a feeling of reluctance because people all instinctively want to keep good things for themselves, but once one is over this feeling, they will feel satisfaction in knowing that they have made a difference in someone else’s life. However, if one lives without generosity but is not selfish, they can still have pleasure from other virtues.
One may voice that generosity cannot be taught for the reason that no one can educate you on how to conduct yourself in a generous way. I for one would be against that just to say an individual is not being instructed by a physical human being what it means to be generous but you are merely discovering by trial and error what true generosity is. It’s up to that individual to take their experiences and turn it into actions of true generosity. virtues identical to generosity, is essentially required to be present and enthusiastically encouraged and trained in sequence to converting into consistent habits. This can alter our logical attentiveness to activating and giving routine to influences supporting
