At the age of 18, Kiki joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he learned discipline and a sense of duty and responsibility. After finishing his service, Kiki joined the law enforcement and committed to bringing justice because he grew up noticing all the injustice happening in his neighborhood. His early years in the law enforcement field were full of determination and dedication as he managed drug cases as a DEA agent. Kiki Camarena's biggest case involved his pursuit of drug lord Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, also known as “El Padrino” in Mexico. The operation took place in the mid 1980’s, aimed at catching Gallardo’s powerful drug trafficking organization, which was responsible for sneaking large amounts of narcotics into the United States.
