Recommended: The impact of music
Cleveland native, Scott Mescudi, more commonly known by his stage name, Kid Cudi, is a rapper, singer, and actor. Cudi’s unique sound has set an industry standard, and has pushed the boundaries of hip hop, with his implementation of alternative rock into his music. Cudi is not afraid to push the boundaries within hip hop which is why many people see him as a leader. As a result, the three following reasons highlight why Kid Cudi is a leader; his unique production skills, ability to tell a story through song, and dynamic musical range.
Kid Cudi’s sound is what sets him apart from other artists. Not only his voice, which can reach very high and low notes, but also his production style is unique. Cudi uses many different drum kits, guitars, and synthesizers to make his music. What’s impressive is how he mixes it up from song to song. Cudi’s production style has rubbed off on me as I frequently emulate his sound in my own music. Cudi has a sound where anyone who knows his music will say “this is Kid Cudi.”, but at the same time, with each new album there is a new sound that resonates

throughout the entire album. This leads to my next point; Cudi’s storytelling. Kid Cudi has said he always has a story to tell.
The first song that got me hooked on Kid Cudi was Mr. Rager, which tells the story of Cudi following “Mr. Rager” questioning where he is going and his purpose. This is one of Cudi’s songs more open to self-interpretation as “Mr. Rager” could be a leader that we all follow. One of Cudi’s songs that I can relate to personally is Solo Dolo, in which Cudi raps about his upbringing in Shaker Heights, the same town I grew up in. Cudi attended the same high school I did; Shaker Heights High School. Cudi was seen as a leader to my entire school. His music was a reflection of the time he spent in Shaker Heights and in a sense, I felt like I was living Cudi’s past as I would walk through the hallways listening to his music. To me, Cudi’s music represents his entire life and being able to relate to this makes Cudi a leader to me on a personal
level. Lastly, Cudi’s dynamic range in vocals and production are what got me hooked on his music and are the reason I see him as a leader in the music industry. Cudi naturally has a very deep voice, but is able to hit very high notes as well. This lets him switch from rapping to singing fluidly, and you can hear it in most of his songs. This large vocal range also lets Cudi change the overall theme for a given song. If the song is about a dark subject, Cudi will sing low, while he sings higher is more upbeat songs. Cudi often states that he had very dark times and good times in his life and he wants to incorporate that into his music, which I appreciate because a true leader has his bad moments, but Cudi triumphs over them in his music. Cudi is a leader because he is not afraid to push the boundaries within the closed off walls of hip hop culture and his humbling experiences. His music was a major influence while growing up because of his unique sound that grabbed my attention the first time I heard it. Cudi is not only a leader, but a visionary, with his production skills, storytelling, and wide range of sounds.
There are a lot of Epic Poems written in Literature that intrigue, and capture reader’s attention like; The Iliad, The Odyssey, Beowulf, and the Divine Comedy. Never had the Hip-Hop culture had an epic story of its own until Lupe Fiasco came along. Lupe created a 17 song saga Called “Michael Young History (MYH) also known as The Cool” spread throughout his first two albums, and a few mixtapes. MYH is a frictional rap character who was raised by a single hard-working mother who struggle to raise Michael and his loving sister. As Michael unethical fame rise his friends get jealous, setting Michael to end his life. Unless a music listener is not a Lupe Fiasco fan they will not be aware of this

With seven full length albums, a multimillion record label company, and a successful fashion business all under his belt, it’s fair to say that Kanye has done his fair share of creating. Well, he shows you do not have to be the smartest person to be successful and that never to give up on what you’re after. For example, he puts parts of his personal life into his music to show that just because he has fame and fortune that doesn’t mean he’s like any other human being. He sings and raps about love, passion, and loss. For one in his song “Hotline Bling” from his album “Views,” shows a loss of a friend, or maybe a lover and how things change and one you stop trying to make the relationship work, but turns out into just being “you used to.”
Lastly Kendrick Lamar’s piece Good kid m.A.A.d City is a coming of age story from the view of teenage Kendrick living in Compton, California. This album shows the dark side of Kendrick’s life as well as his lighter moments of aspiration. There are vivid depictions of violence that he endured as a teen as well as the influence of money and power. Also in this album, he shows how easily influenced he was when he and his friends break into a home in the track ‘The Art of Peer
Rap music has given me personally something to look up to. Not a role model but hope of continuing my dreams because rappers successfully made it. “For what’s money without happiness, or hard times without the people you love” is from a song called “Love Yourz” by J. Cole. He clearly understands how there is “beauty in the struggle and ugliness in the success” because he’s lived that life. Other songs such as “2Face” or “The Autograph” were instantly relatable to me because he has been through several struggles from the beginning of his childhood. Cole’s father left when he was six leaving his mother and younger brother alone. Cole became “the man of the house” but becoming a rapper is not as easy as it seems. Cole’s messages in these two songs are relative because I too, have had several issues with my mother and father creating a sense of lonesome. Hearing music like Coles helped me overcome my
Both a rapper and an MC, Tupac Shakur was a very famous artist during his short time on Earth. His next album, “Strictly for my Ni***z” Hit ...
Without a doubt, his fan’s support along with his personal desire to share his vision with upcoming artists have been key in his development as “El Cangri’s Inc.” and “El Cartel Records” founder and lead producer.
Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose (Macmillan), Ben Carson was successful, but how? It would seem prosperity just requires academic success, and a good career choice, but in reality being triumphant requires certain attributes. Talent, Time, Hope, Honesty, Insight,to be Nice, Knowledge, In-Depth-Learning, and God are all of the aspects Dr. Carson thinks we need in order to be successful. . Not only are these traits essential for success, they can build your character as well. Although all of these traits are crucial, but a few of them are of more significance than the rest. One example is Time, Time is an indefinite during which events, conditions, and actions occur and exist, or continue with uninterrupted succession (Macmillan).
Kanye Omari West, an icon of hip-hop, pop culture, fashion and music in general. Kanye Omari West, a person belittled against and a person subjected to a life of racism and hate. Born on June 8th, 1977, Donda West, West’s mother, always knew he was destined for greatness, but did she know her son would turn out to be the Kanye West, a man lacking the respect he deserves for transforming a big part of the music we listen to on this very day? West came onto the scene in the late nineties but didn’t release The College Dropout until 2004, an album that took everybody by surprise. Kanye West changed the gangster filled rap genre by releasing his positive, soulful debut album, changing the way rappers dress, and paving the way for a whole new style of introspective lyrics and soul-inspired rap production in the mainstream.
As a first album you would not expect a person to do so well and win so many music awards, that is why it caught me off guard when I first listened to this album. The album was well composed and was very well thought out, which led him to become very successful on the release of his first album. As a first album, I expected it to be just okay and have maybe one hit song. I also expected it to be a one hit wonder and not a Grammy winner. My expectations were completely wrong and he completely did the opposite of what I expected him to do. I chose to listen to this album because it was something new and it was a genre that I started to get to like before him. So, I decided to give his album a chance and I wanted to see the different music styles he puts towards his songs.
An album from Eminem that I felt connected was Encore, which was his fifth studio album. It was, in my opinion, one of most successful albums he has produced. The album has many countless hits that reflect towards h...

There is no such thing as a “born leader”. Human, animals, trees, and all of other living things survive and develop by earning and acquiring information needed. Nothing could receive the current position or status from an automatic mode.
Hip- hop is a standout amongst the most compelling musical sorts on the globe. There are rappers everywhere that know what amount of an impact their music can have. Some entertainers attempt to utilize that force of impact to do great (Ruiz INT).
