But we must carefully fish because if we overfish their will be a decrease of fish which can hurt our economy. Continuing, we use the flow of the wind for energy, creating electricity. This helps our economy so people will have to pay electricity bill, which will grow our economy. To add on, trees are used many ways but a few click island use them for are building house, which people will buy for shelter which will increase our economy, and will also create jobs for other citizens. Climate Climate can deeply impact your civilization, if it not just right. But fortunately for Click Island we are 75 degrees west and 5 degrees north, which is in the tropical zone. In Roderick R. Nash’s essay “Island civilization: A vision for human occupancy of earth in the fourth millenium” he quotes “Of course a change like this one [Island civilization] involves compromises with human freedom.” Nashs plan for the future is to make self-sustaining “islands” of civilization. These civilizations would be clusters of the population, and quite similar to cities. His plan also relies on advanced technology that would not harm the Earth and that the “islands” remain isolated from each other. All food production, manufacturing, sanitation, and other services would take place directly within the civilization. This would mean that we as humans would lose many rights that we have had for hundreds of years such as human freedom. I do not believe that with all of the people obsessed with their rights that anything like island civilization will happen anytime soon.
The first civilization to rise was the Mesopotamia, located in present day Iraq, between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, and Egypt, along the Nile River. It’s split in two ecological zones. In the south Babylonia (irrigation is vital) and north Assyria (agriculture is possible with rainfall and wells). By 4000 B.C.E., people had settled in large numbers in the river-watered lowlands of Mesopotamia and Egypt. Archaeologists have shown that large-scale irrigation appeared only long after urban civilization had already developed, meaning major waterworks were a consequence of urbanism (population). Mesopotamia cities were made of people called the Summerians in the land of Sumer located on the south of Babylonia. The Summerian city was one of
... harvest fruits and berries and grains from the island. This will supplement the food that can be grown and harvested on the island. Everyone on the island will share the food available equally. If a point comes where there is more food than what the people can eat, at that point we will dry grains, fruit, and vegetables for use later. Even meat can be thinly sliced and smoked and dried to preserve it.
The comedian Bill Cosby once said, "Civilization had too many rules for me, so I did my best to rewrite them." However humorous of a statement this is, it was not that unique of a concept. Diverging from society and creating new laws is not a concept created in recent-time. Several people have created new societies, such as the Puritans, who wished to achieve religious freedom in the United States. A modern-day example of the creation of new civilizations was the foundation of a Jewish state in Palestine. Although new civilizations have been made, is it possible to imagine what would happen if a group of people simply left civilization? Lord of the Flies, a novel by William Golding, discussed the possible consequences. Lord of the flies was the story of several young boys and how they deal with being stranded on an island with no adult guidance. The group attempted to form a democratic society, but they soon learn that the lack of societal boundaries deeply affected their values. The central theme of this novel was that society holds everyone together and without these conditions, all ideals, values and the basics of right and wrong are lost, as shown with the tribe, Jack, and Roger. The boys reversion to their savage roots was a prime example of how society holds people together and without these conditions, all ideals and values will be lost.
... society left in the ashes was a shadow of its old self, never to recover. The destruction was so severe that the island would never come close to recovery. The descendants of a once great civilization were completely disconnected from what made their ancestors so successful. Any civilization that chooses the path of the Easter Islanders is destined for complete destruction.

A civilization is the starting point of a society. Civilizations have existed for millions of years and are the basic unit of structure for a society. Civilizations were the base of great societies such as Egypt and Rome. If not for civilizations these societies would not have flourished or even existed.

How do we define religion? According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of religion is as follows: “the belief in a god or in a group of gods, an organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used to worship a god or a group of gods, or an interest, a belief, or an activity that is very important to a person or group” (Merriam-Webster.) My personal definition of religion is that it is a set of beliefs and practices that generally pertain to the worship of one or more than one spiritual being or representation of a spiritual power. Religion can be a personal belief or an organization or group of people who have similar beliefs and values. There are many different types of religions in the world and have been since the beginning of mankind.
Humans have been on this planet for over 6 million years, so we should understand the importance of humanity. According to Webster 's dictionary the definition of humanity, says that it is a human being or being humane. As humans, we want to give a simple and quick definition: conscience and consciousness. The realization that we are alive and that we have something more to offer in life than just our fight for survival. But humanity can also be our reluctance to become one with more animalistic side. When we compare ourselves to animals there are moments that animals show the same type of humanity that we have. But some of those things might not be signs of humanity at all. They could just be us humans trying to give animals, humanistic traits.
