Information is a key component, which is virtual source in all aspects of business. Information helps create a well balance between analytics, business information, customers, vendors, and sales. Without proper use of information, businesses may struggle to understand components of their business, such as monitoring information, validated decision making, performance measuring, and the ability to identify new business opportunities. Base on the case of “Your Choice Furniture”, we marked this system's analysis to formulate solutions in this report; it assisted in evaluating the impact of recent change information technologies of “Your choice furniture” business system for evaluating how well the firm will be performing.
Data can give you quite a bit of information about your customers. By examining it, you will be able to begin to see patterns and learn the habits of your customers. This could mean that you are able to provide the correct number of products at the perfect time instead of having a shortfall or being left with additional stock long after interest has fallen in the product.
However on the other hand, for all advantages; there are disadvantages. In some instances when people utilize and manipulate data, they may knowingly falsify data so that it may adhere to ones beliefs or theories. In addition there are people who may deliberately tamper with information as well. When collecting information, there must be neutrality when assessing and collecting data. In addition, professional competence and integrity must be superior and finally, all research subjects or respondents must be safeguarded from potential harm and sabotage.
As technology advances so should the products and services provided by companies. In every industry, technology is becoming the key success factor to growth and profit. The ability to communicate with people all around the world has created a new marketplace for business. In order to remain competitive, it is important for companies to utilize the most current technology. At ABC Inc., the use of the latest technological tools allows the company to provide first-rate, quality architectural engineering services to its clients. As part of the company's strategic goal to increase profits and clients, the board of directors established an information technology steering committee to look at how the company could improve its' technology. The committee was tasked to make sure the company had the latest available industry computer tools and to make sure all employees were uniform in terms of the technology. One of the most important findings of the committee's research was the fact that the company and its branches were using varying types of software and hardware systems. The findings also showed that this lack of uniformity caused numerous communication problems not only with the branches and corporate offices, but also the clientele. These findings were reported to senior management. Based on the findings, recently, senior management made the decision to ensure all employees, branch offices and corporate office were working on the same software and hardware systems. Management decided to move the entire company to a Windows NT environment, in order to improve productivity, to create uniformity, to create a more functional network infrastructure and to develop an Intranet and Internet web sites. The Information Technology department (referred to as the "Team") was asked to take a look at the pros and cons of moving to Windows. The Team has prepared the following report based on its research efforts.
As the data is growing in multiple folds, Security issues are also growing at the same speed raising the concerns about its security. Though, Regulatory bodies have come up with strict guidelines and policies with constant amendments being made to keep the data and information secure and preventing it from falling into wrong hand, still data breaches continue to happen putting the people and businesses at great risks.
Currently, businesses want to use the information effectively for competitive advantage to make better decisions that improve and optimize business processes, predict the market dynamics accurately, optimize forecasts to adequately maintain resources to name a few reasons.

The origins of cloud computing dates back to the 1960s around the time computers were introduced. It was unknown specifically what cloud computing was until 1997 where Ramnath Chellappa, information systems professor, used the term “cloud computing” and placed a definition behind it (Cantu, 2011). After the introduction of what cloud computing does companies began switching to using these services to benefit their own company. Statistically, “in 2009, revenue for cloud services was just over 58.6 billion” (Cantu, 2011). The growth of cloud services is capturing more of the market where in 2011 cloud computing accounting is opening up on the global market at 2.3% with plenty of room to grow (Cantu, 2011).
The many aspects of data security are integral and critical with any businesses or home computer user. These areas include Client information, payment/transactional information, individual files, banking information and proprietary intellectual property. These forms of data and information are difficult to replace once lost. Though data security often refers to protection from unwanted hackers, spyware and viruses it, also, comes in the form of natural disasters with the likes of a flood or fire. The later forms of data loss are just as damaging as those from hackers, viruses, spyware, Trojan horse or a malware infection. To answer the question why data security is important is because the damages

During the boom of the microcomputer industry, or around 1980s, computers began to be deployed all around the world, in many cases with little or no care about operating requirements. As information technology operations started to grow in diversity, companies grew cautions of the need to control information technology resources. Companies needed fast Internet connection and nonstop operation to deliver systems and establish a presence on the Internet. A lot of companies build large facilities, which were named Internet data center and provided businesses with a range of solutions for systems to adopt and operate. Data centers for cloud computers are called cloud data center. The distribution of these terms has approximately abandoned and they are being established as “data center”. Business and government institutions are reviewing data centers to a higher degree in areas like security, availability, environmental impact and attachment to requirements. Requirements Documents from authorized organizations groups, like for example the Telecommunications Industry Association. Well-known operational metri...

Advances in technology have changed businesses dramatically, in particular the communication and information technology that are conducted in firms, which changed the appearance and pace of businesses over the past few decades. ICT in particular, has evolved a lot over the past 30 years; important information can be stored in computers rather than being in drawers enabling information to be transferred at a greater volume and speed (Guy, 2009). ICT has also expanded various forms of telecommunications and workload conducted in businesses, internet examples of this include: e-mails can be used to communicate with others...
