Kelly Chenille was a fourteen year old girl who lived in Orlando, Florida. She attended Camelot High School and was in the ninth grade. Early one Monday morning Kelly rolled over in bed and realized she had overslept. She immediately jumped out of bed and rushed to get dressed. She ran downstairs and darted and darted outside to try and catch her bus. Kelly ran down the street; however, her bus was long gone. Mopingly, Kelly returned home. As she walked up her driveway, she tripped over her brother’s skateboard and fell into the wet grass. Kelly sighed and mumbled, “Could this day get any worse?” Kelly found her mom sitting in the kitchen and begged her for a ride to school. Her mom hesitated for a minute, but agreed. Kelly arrived to school twenty-five minutes late. After getting a tardy slip, Kelly hurried to her calculus class. She silently opened the door and tried not to draw any attention to herself. After giving her teacher her tardy slip, she sat down and began to copy the problems on the projector. “What does she have on?” said a …show more content…
Munroe,” said Kelly. “Hello sweetheart,” replied Mrs. Munroe. “She is such a bright student,” said a strange voice. The strange voice belonged to Mrs. Munroe, but it was coming from Kelly’s head. Kelly exploded and told Mrs. Munroe what she was experiencing. Mrs. Munroe sat in her chair flabbergasted. After what seemed like forever, Mrs. Munroe finally spoke, “Kelly, you are an intelligent girl, but that is absurd and quite frankly, impossible.” Mrs. Munroe thought Kelly was paranoid, but Kelly was determined to prove her incorrect. “If it is impossible, then how do I know that when I walked in, you though about me being such a bright student?” said Kelly bravely. Mrs. Munroe looked as though she had just seen a ghost. “Oh my goodness!” How did you know my exact thoughts?” she said. Kelly replied, “I don’t quite know.” Mrs. Munroe made Kelly lie down while she immediately contacted her

I, Eliza Wishart am here today to respond to everyone’s confusion over my own house being alit on fire. Up until now I have felt no need at all to confirm or deny any of the accusations or rumours made. However, I am here today to clear my conscious and help the town of Corrigan understand what happened behind the scenes at the disastrous time my sister, Laura Wishart, was found dead and why my house was set a flame.
Her ears are ringing, nose is bleeding, she can’t see a thing. I’m Maggie Rhee, she tried to howl. But no words could make it out of her scarlet red mouth. She’s trapped, stranded at the bottom of an average isolated cliff; he just pushed her off, as a matter of fact. She had found out his big, horrendous secret. Where am I, Maggie thought, trying to piece everything together. She had then let the darkness succumb her, and now she lay dead. What happened might you ask? That’s the secret I’ll tell right now. Well, it was a dark and stormy night; however, the full moon gave the dark skies a ray of light. Maggie Rhee had just been invited to the one and only Prince Alvah’s dark citadel. To much confusion, her mother, father, sisters and brothers had not been invited. But it was an invitation she could not refuse. When she made it
She encourages her to reflect on the feelings of herself, and prompts her to face the belief that she is a bad person by looking at other events where she may have felt similarly (16:38). Kelly then reverts to an earlier traumatic event where her belief first became distorted--watching the death of someone important, this is the identified activating event (17:16); her role as a combat fighter is the behavior that confronts her rationale (17:28); resulting in conflicting feelings of responsibility or have the ability to change the outcome (17:40). Then Kelly is challenged to provide evidence for the punishment (18:16). When she is unable to identify concrete evidence she begins to perceive her thoughts differently
Her eyes were heavy, her body weak. As she crawled into the bathroom two feet away, Abby felt her body slowly succumbing to the numbness. All of her pain would be gone in less than 10 minutes, so why would she want to turn back? What about the senior trip Abby had planned with her best friend? What about the chair at the dinner table that would now be vacant? A couple of hours later Abby’s family came home from her little sister’s soccer game. Little did they know what they would find as they approached the top of the stairs. Her little sister, Ali, stood still as she looked down at her feet. There on the cold floor lay her big sister, her role model, and her super hero. Ali was crushed when she saw the pill bottle in her hand and the pale color of her skin. Her mom fell to her knees screaming and crying, wondering where she
Maudire les actions du diable ! After years of working my fingers to the bone, this is all I get! The three people I valued most have left me. Ellen- my dear wife- passed away. My son – the one I trusted to be there for my family, after my time– has gone. Also my doll, my Mattie, with her sweet smile, her resilience as strong as a bull…Très bien! Qu'est-ce que je vais faire? My land, and my shattered family are all I have. I feel nothing… except shame, fear, and sleepless yearning for my loved ones. What bothers me most is … they all left me. Life would be so much easier with Lawton pulling the cart, Mattie looking after the younger ones and my precious Ellen… just staying here with me. I've been double-crossed by MY family!
Her mom hung up, those were the last three words Destiny would ever hear her mom say. She tossed and turned the rest of the night. Kisha came into the room to wake up Destiny. The night before, I didn’t practice my English so I knew what to say. By now, I knew most of the words, so I would just let my heart guide me. Besides, my cramped old house, which is actually just a junky garage in an abandoned alley, is too small to let out my feelings. Once I got to school after a cold walk in the snow, I placed myself by her locker and waited. Fourteen minutes had gone by, and still no sign of Lily. I only had a minute to get to class now, so I hurriedly collected myself and ran to my locker. I was disappointed, knowing that without Lily here, it would be the hardest day of school. I opened my locker and to my surprise a note fell to the floor. I quickly picked it up and gazed at the neat handwriting that clearly spelled my name.
Damon Salvatore Alex Hershman I tried to forget about her for years, but when she was standing there in front of me, how could I? Only it wasn’t Catherine. Her name was Elena, and she was in love with my brother, the only family I had left. He needed her more than I did. I accepted that Elena wasn’t Cathrine.
As I walked out of the courthouse and down the ramp, I looked at my mom in disappointment and embarrassment. Never wanting to return to that dreadful place, I slowly drug my feet back to the car. I wanted to curl up in a little ball and I didn't want anyone else to know what I had done. Gaining my composure, I finally got into the car. I didn't even want to hear what my mom had to say. My face was beat red and I was trying to hide my face in the palms of my hands because I knew what was about to come; she was going to start asking me questions, all of the questions I had been asking myself. Sure enough, after a short period of being in the car, the questions began.
It was April 1st 2002, a pretty boring day in world history, if you ask me. I remember quite clearly that it was a Monday, too. A terribly horrible, horrible Monday spent in Ames Public High, studying arithmetic and counting down the minutes until the bell would finally sound and I would be free to leave. I know that as soon as the bell had gone I dashed down the main corridor, the first ever iPod gripped in my sweaty palms and my rucksack flapping away on my back as I made my way to the park. Joey had said he would meet me at the Peter’s Park bench with his father’s car at 4pm, and then we would drive to Suzanne’s house. I still wasn’t sure what he planned on doing once we arrived, but my stomach was already knotted in anticipation of riding in a car without an adult, let alone getting somewhere in it! Let alone getting to Suzanne’s.
"Love of my life, my soul mate...... you're my best friend" Hope's Who Am I To Say ambled throughout Kay Kay and Karma's old bedroom at their mother's house. “Where are your britches today?” “Under my dress.” [...] Miss Stephanie Crawford called from across the room, “Whatcha going to be when you grow up, Jean Louise? A lawyer? [...]
He had thought again about what Madame Lola said. He was worried and wondered if she was actually there so he sprinted to the office. He walked up to the desk with tears in his eyes and asked with fear if she went to school still. The Lady said “Honey, I know you miss her but she’s gone, I’m sorry
We listened as Mrs. DeCostia enumerated the names of those involved. “Kat, Tara, Kelly, Alexis, Rob, Joe, Matt, and John.” She announced with annoyance. How is it that all my friends got in trouble for the greatest prank in Fairfield’s 75 year history, but my name was left off that prestigious list? I watched my friend’s proud faces as they walked to the front of the room and I laughed as I heard Matt say “So you caught the people, who perfectly reconstructed your room on the roof of the school, but you will never know who the genius behind it was, and as long as that stays a secret, we’ve done our job.” Then Mrs. DeCostia grabbed him by the shirt collar and dragged him outside. Soon there was a wave of people standing and clapping for their hero, the only person to show Mrs. DeCostia what a horrible person she really was. Apparently since my name had been left off the list, they had no intention of revealing it. But still I got the greatest prize of all, even better than being called up there with them: knowing that it was my idea to take every item out of her room and put it on the roof. There was a loud slamming of the door and soon the classroom fell silent. “Whose idea was it?” shouted Mrs. DeCostia. She was answered by silence. “I’ll ask one more time: Whose idea was it?” She said, speaking ever so slowly to ensure he understood. This time she was answered by a deep voice that could only be recognized as John’s. “You’re never gonna know so you might as well give up now.” “Oh, I will find out and when I do that person will be expelled! Now who is it?” Then in a voice that always seemed to say “What are you looking at?” Kat said “Listen lady, I don’t know who you think your dealing with but you’re never gonna know. We’re like...
