When listening to the song both reflectively and analytically did put a dapper on the initial meaning behind listening to the song, however, the song’s influence and history with my Child Hood prevented this assignment from completely taking my enjoyment and engagement of the song. Through this assignment I have found a new respect for the song and its simplicity and overall appeal with the vocaloid culture that I am involved in both as a listener and an artist. Through this assignment I have also been given a deeper insight into Deco*27 as an artist and how he effectively conveys his music as an art through both the vocaloid system and, in this case, through his own talents as a singer.

Some examples of metaphor within the piece are when it says “your laughter’s so melodic it’s a song” and “your creativity’s a compass that leads you to what you love”. An example of evocative language in the piece is “you don’t need any miracle cream to keep your passions smooth, hair free or diet pills to slim your kindness down.” These metaphors and instances of evocative language help emphasise the message that it doesn’t matter what you look like, the most important thing you can love about yourself is ____. Metaphors, evocative language, and repetition are also used to describe the expectations laid upon women by society. One particular phrase that uses both metaphor and evocative language “because the only place we'll ever truly feel safe is curled up inside skin we've been taught to hate by a society that shuns our awful confidence and feeds us our flaws”. Other examples of evocative language include “a reminder that the mirror is meant to be a curse so I confine her in my mind, but when he or she shouts ‘let me out!’ we're allowed to listen.” and “Don't you shatter the illusion you could ever be anything beyond paper fine flesh and flashy teeth and fingernails.” One instance of repetition includes “echoic accusations of not good enough, never good enough”. Another phrase that uses both evocative language and repetition

Thanks to Victoria, British Columbia in Canada, the world has come to know a talented artist by the name of Nelly Furtado. You'd never gone to have any difficulties reminding her, as her goddess-like face is all that you need to remember. But when that mouth opens to sing songs, then it's a whole new level to like her even more than you expect. Her musical inclination is not just about singing by playing an impressive set of instruments on the likes of keyboard and piano, guitar, ukulele and even trombone.
This allows the listener to visualize a woman on fire but the woman not being affected by the flames pointing out a woman’s strength and also how much pain she can endure without showing signs of hurt. Further in the song Key’s goes on to say that “she got her head in the clouds, and she’s not backing down” shining a light on the amount of drive and persistence a woman has and how she will stop at nothing to reach her goals no matter how outlandish they may seem. A very powerful message is being given when Key’s says “looks like a girl but she’s a flame, so bright she can burn your eyes, better look the other way”. The use of the hyperbole helps compare a woman to having the power as equal to fire illustrating the emotional and mental strength a woman has in order to endure anything thrown her way, no matter her outer appearance. This statement also exaggerates a woman’s potential, instilling fear in anyone who doubts her, as well giving off the impression that you should never underestimate a woman because she is stronger than what meets the

Paul McCartney’s “Another Day” is the song i chose to analyze. Within the song there are three main themes I took notice to. The themes I have chosen are discovering self worth, the yearning for varitey and the third theme relates to the previous two in that if a person is lacking meaning then they often become tired and fed up with living. McCartney was able to successfully weave them into each other to effectively tell a story of a life of one women by explaining her daily habits. For the most part these themes are easy to recognize because they are easily relateable in any person’s life. “Another Day” is about the feeling of boredom with life and the constant struggle to find happiness. The themes of boredom, uselessness and sadness are so common and universal making the song itself timeless.
Katy Perry woke up in this video and turn to the bright side of the world. The song, “Just a Girl,” relates so well to the short story, “The Necklace.” It relates in many ways and shows many different sides of the story including: how she let the money get her her, what she is like when she sees her old friend after many harsh years, what her husband thinks of her, and lastly how she confused where she stood in the class systems. Overall, I would say that this song is a good comparison to the story and the main
