Recommended: Kashmir issue
It has been around 19 years; I have grown up watching the news, listening to the radio about the poor voice of Kashmiris who have been kept hostage for over half a century. Who has been violence by none other than our so called friend Bharat, who has acted sarcastically with Kashmir.
When we talk about the role of Pakistan in this core issue, so we don’t see actually any major role but yes we do arrange the rallies, we form human chains; we arrange exhibitions, We arrange seminars, we do talk about the change but never by our heart, we regularly watch many leaders making their fake promises especially on the Kashmir day. Actually Pakistan neither compromise its own position on the Kashmir question not allowed any prejudice to the right of self determination of the people of Kashmir. Since India has been characterized by rivalry act in suspicion although many issues divide the two countries, the most sensitive one since independence has been the status of Kashmir.
Since it’s an issue of not only Pakistan but for also for Bharat. More than any other region, it is the people of south Asia, especially Pakistan and Bharat, who need a sustainable peace and stable progress the most and this will remain exclusive as long as their leader and governments don’t Resolve the core dispute of Kashmir.
Kashmir is not the only unresolved issue, but it is the most important one. Once the negotiating process on Kashmir makes a credible headway, the settlement of other issues will automatically follow. It is true that all unresolved issues in the Pakistan-India relationships may take place months, or even years, to settle in a manner that suits the two sides.

Following the January 2004 Islamabad-new Delhi rapprochement , and with the resumption of composite dialogue covering Kashmir and other unresolved issues, one hopes the Kashmir history may turn full circle soon. However, for this to happen, the Indian leadership has to show some courage and boldness in responding sincerely to Pakistani leadership's recent overtures on Kashmir. The roadmap for peace that the foreign secretary level talks in February produced includes a schedule for discussing siachen letter in the year. A Siachen settlement, for which a precedent in the shape of an accord is already available, will surely serve as a catalyst for the Kashmir settlement. In Kashmir’s' context, the only solution that should be ruled out is doing nothing. Time will not heal the Kashmir problem. Time has made things worse in Kashmir.
As I have read the primary sources, it became clear to me that African Americans and Indians wants to be treated equally and fairly. As I read "An Indian's View of Indian Affairs" by Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce, the main thing that caught my attention was "Treat all men alike. Give them the same laws." This caught my attention because he clearly talked about the way he was tired of white men having all of the authority and the chiefs who would always talk about equality or fairness, but fails to show it with their actions. Also, he went on to say that everyone should be treated as one because essentially everyone is one and was born the same way. Basically, his view was an argument to state that it's not right to treat one person better or
The Transformation of the “Indian Problem”. In this paper, I plan to examine the marked transformation and the history of the so-called “Indian Problem.” The idea of an “Indian Problem” began with the arrival of white settlers in North America, and for them, it was a problem of safety, security, and land acquisition. Around 1890, the “Indian Problem” became an issue of how to help the Indians go extinct humanely, or to assimilate into white culture.
During the Cold War, many regional conflicts occurred and were noted as the significant battles which later led to decolonization. One of the regional conflicts were India and Pakistan fighting for their independence. In 1947, India was released under Great Britain’s control and gained its independence. However, the country was divided between Muslims and Hindus, which share different religions. Muslims wanted church and state to become unified while Hindus wanted a separation of these two establishments. Since these two ethnic groups disagreed, it was difficult to create a new government. Therefore, India was divided into two nations: India for the Hindus and Pakistan for the Muslims. Hindus and Muslims were racing to the border in order to get to their nation state which led to killing 500,000 people due to rioting. Although, Mohandas Gandhi, an Indian National Congressman, wanted to obtain peace between these two religions. Pakistan refused the H...
The Prince of Kashmir chose India but Pakistan invaded the province soon after and have occupied part of Kashmir since then. Controversy still surrounds the province today because naturally, Muslims want to control it. While many Muslims relocated to Pakistan and the Hindus to India, half of the Muslim population was left in India and their relations did not improve after being partially separated.
Because the Palestinians were furious about owning less land than the Israelis but, they began attacking Israel with bombs and rockets; the angered Palestinians were terrorizing the Israelis with terrorist attacks because they owned more land than they do (Issitt and Montanez - Muhinda). Will this conflict ever be solved? Should the United States get more involved with any of this? Yes, the United States should continue to help the state of Israel because the ambassadors of each country, Israel and Palestine, do not get along very well, the United States’ relationship with Israel will continue to grow and become stronger, and fewer deaths and terrorist attacks will occur in both Israel and Palestine.
The decision to grant independence to India was not the logical culmination of errors in policy, neither was it as a consequence of a mass revolution forcing the British out of India, but rather, the decision was undertaken voluntarily. Patrick French argues that: “The British left India because they lost control over crucial areas of the administration, and lacked the will and the financial or military ability to recover that control”.
Abstract: Ladakh is a high-elevation cold desert, which makes it an extraordinary extreme environment. It provides a suitable habitat some wildly adapted microbes. Due to the high elevation a person can experience freezing cold temperatures and the burning nuisance of the sun all the same time. There is an abundance of cold adapted microbes in Ladakh, some which are thought to have application as inoculants and biocontrol agents in crops not only growing at low temperatures but at high elevation as well. The remote mountains of Ladakh that are situated in the rain shadow of the Great Himalayas provide a harsh environment that includes, strong winds, high UV radiation, diurnal temperature fluctuations and sparse vegetation. These conditions favor the extensive development of biological soil crusts as well as increase the importance of the cyanobacterial community. Aside from extremely cold temperature and high elevation, there is also an abundance of hot springs in Ladakh. These hot springs provide an incredible opportunity for scientists to examine microbial diversity not only at high temperatures but at high elevation as well.
Ruby Kaur May 10, 2014 Source 1 Ricardo Pollack is distinguished as a director because of the documentary, Partition: The Day India Burned (2007). The documentary itself discusses the detrimental consequences of the withdrawal of Britain's reign from India in 1947, which led to the forced relocation of men, women, and even children across newly defined border lines, along with violence, rape, and murder. The film makes its argument through dramatized reconstructions and witness testimonies, which offer personal insight into the horrors of the partition and conjure up feelings of sympathy and remorse. The film intends to make an educated public more aware of how an ethnically diverse nation was tragically divided and its effects on civilian lives. This is a secondary source with primary sources because it is based on witness testimonies and an actual historical event, but offers its own evaluation on the issue through dramatized reconstructions of the event.
India blames Pakistan for the militant uprising, claiming Islamabad is supporting cross-border terrorism. Pakistan responds that it merely provides diplomatic and moral support, arguing, furthermore, that India’s history of human rights abuses in the valley is to blame. With both countries now in possession of nuclear arms, the recent war in KARGIL and the increasing number of civilian deaths, refugees, and other human rights issues within Kashmir, the conflict seems to be taking on a more serious nature. In this paper, I will discuss the Kashmir conflict in some depth, examining the problem in its historical context and assessing whether there is sufficient political will at present to resolve the dispute.... ... middle of paper ...
Whether the partition of these countries was wise and whether it was done too soon is still under debate. Even the imposition of an official boundary has not stopped conflict between them. Boundary issues, left unresolved by the British, have caused two wars and continuing strife between India and Pakistan.

After decades of war in Afghanistan in late 2001, first attempts have already been made by Afghans and international organizations to consult the Afghan people on how to build capacities in pace-building which was an encouraging sign. However, the people in general are still too reluctant to speak about their suffering during the war. Instead, their current priority is to struggle for economic survival in the highly competitive post-conflict reconstruction business with its emerging social injustice. This pragmatic attitude causes a basic problem. If the past is not addressed, efforts to build a lasting peace are endangered. As lessons from other post-conflict societies have shown, national reconciliation contributes to overcoming the past and reuniting a war-divided society (Schirch, Rafiee, & Sakhi, 2013). There are several ways to bring about peace, stability and harmony in Afghanistan. This paper reviews some issues crucial for discussing and designing a strategy of national reconciliation. Moreover, for narrowing the gap between the rival perceptions there is also a need for an Afghan peace process to prepare the ground for peace-building and a future reconciliation process and implementation of an Afghan mechanism of national reconciliation including the ‘’lessons learned’’ from the post-conflict societies.

Kashmir — a beautiful mountain state with clear rivers, evergreen forests and one of the highest death rates in the world. It is at the center of an age-old dispute between Pakistan and India that has dragged on from the independence of both nations over fifty years ago to the present time, with no resolution in sight. The combined population of the two nation totals over a billion, so no conflict between them is of passing importance, especially when nuclear weapons are involved. Pakistan and India share a common heritage, language, and traditions, yet the subject of Kashmir can push them to the brink of annihilation. Fifty years of animosity have built up as a result. A proxy war still brews in Kashmir, claiming dozens of lives every day, running up a casualty total over time into the hundred thousands. Kashmiris have suffered untold horrors and Kashmir has the notorious reputation of being one of the world’s most dangerous flashpoints.
