It is well-know that Kanye West has one of the most eccentric personalities to date. He Is obsessed with fashion and has married into reality show royalty. Kanye is always finding a way to make controversial statements and tweeting something absurd, but when it comes down to producing music it is also known that Kanye makes great music….. The Life of Pablo isn’t as tightly constructed or filled with huge hits in the same vein as Yeezy’s Graduation (2007) and isn’t wildly bold compared to 808s & Heartbreak (2008) but it’s still a very strong album overall. Produced by Kanye himself and co-executive produced by Rick Rubin and Noah Goldstein, The Life of Pablo features writing, production and special appearances from some of hip-hop’s most esteemed with a heavy infusing of eclectic music and vocal samples. The final product comes off as a compilation of songs made of fragmented beats, lyrics and samples that are put together into full pieces. Thus, there’s a record for everyone on The Life of Pablo, no matter which era of Yeezy they prefer. The track includes the controversial and what most would call an unnecessary line about Taylor Swift, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that bitch famous.” If you are after a lyrical verse or two from Ye the Kendrick Lamar collaboration “No More Parties in L.A.,” will make any true hip-hop head’s heart melt.
