You keep trying until you reach you goal weather its riding your bike without training wheels or finishing school. Another experience is cleaning your room, as a kid it was the worst but is another little thing that will help you in the future. It sets a goal that you must accomplish. You cannot procrastinate or mom will get mad. It also gives you organizational skills. Keeping things in a certain spot so you can always find them. Going back to school is scary, fear of the unknown, can I do this. We all went through this in the first day of kindergarten. Knowing I made it through that after all that fear helps me push through my current fears and irrational thoughts. I did it when I was five and I survived I can do this! Everything we do and every experience we have there are always lessons to be learned and little things that help us grow. As an adult you figure out the things you want in life. Nobody is going to hand these things out to you. You have to work hard and fight and struggle for the things you want. Being an adult is where I find my largest contributor to finishing my goal. I want to be more successful and I am going to work hard to better
Life is a series of experiences in which each one of us grows into the individual we are now. Every move, each word and thought shapes our person.
Picture this. You are heading off to college to begin the next chapter of your life. It is a moment you have always been waiting for. You are past the high school drama, and are ready to start taking classes that will allow you to obtain a degree in something you have always been passionate about. It’s your first week on campus and you are invited to a party being hosted by a group of upper classman. You show up to the party and immediately are handed a red cup with what you know is something you shouldn’t be drinking. You take a sip anyway and soon start talking to that guy in the corner who at first seems friendly, but soon begins to take advantage of you. Just like that everything changes. This is a situation millions of people face every
Did you know that Peru is one of the top ten countries to visit in the world? (UNWTO) Peru has unique music and energetic dances that are fun to see. The people are friendly and charming; they would be happy to help one find their way if they need help. But, the main reason Peru appears on the top ten list is because of its unique geographical features. Some examples are the Andes Mountains, Machu Picchu and Cusco. The art and culture of the Peruvians, as well as the people themselves, and the popular places to go, are what tourists like to see in Peru.
The Portuguese were the first European settlers to arrive in the area. They were led by adventurous Pedro Cabral, who began the colonial period in 1500.
...guay you only have your own family. The same goes for ranchers that maintain the livestock. The culture in Paraguay is one that is resistant to change from what they have been doing for hundreds of years. This also contributes to the lack of a labor force that could not sustain a large industrial sector. A recent contributor to the deforestation is due to the soybean crop. The price and demand for the soybean has increased and it is one crop well suited for the conditions in Paraguay.
Three years ago my life drastically changed when my husband of 19 years decided he wanted a divorce. I had always been a wife and a mother and only worked part time through the majority of my marriage. Having married at 19, I never thought too much about going to college. I always thought I wanted to be a stay at home mom and never thought too much about what my life would be like once the children grew into adulthood. Now, at 41 years old, I realize how horrible a decision I made by not getting my college education sooner. Trying to go back to school while working full-time and raising two kids on my own is not fun. It’s a struggle to find that right balance of being a good student but also being a good mom. I want to make my kids proud

During one of my rides for work at O'SNAP, I passed by a group of students gathered around in a circle on the sidewalk. After dropping off my party, I drove by them to ask if they needed a ride. They accepted, but one of the students was visibly ill. I asked if they needed assistance to get back to their dorm, but they insisted they were fine. Due to the policy of NDSP, student drivers aren't allowed to bring back students who are ill due to insurance policies. The student insisted they were fine, but was unable to maintain balance and felt light headed. There was an unopened water bottle in the vehicle I was operating and offered it to the student. The other students with the student helped me lower the student to sit on the edge of the curb.
I have realized by watching my children learn and grow that every day is a learning experience. Each day they wake up ready for a new ch...

Going back to school at 30 is not the same as going back to school at 20, especially when you’re a single parent with an established career. Returning to school never left my mind throughout the years, I received my associates seven years ago and between then and now a lot had changed. So many questions I asked myself; do I have the time, who can help watch my daughter, can I juggle another load, etc. I answered every one of my questions; unfortunately I gave myself excuses instead. The decision going back to school was overwhelming because it was taking up another full time job; making it a priority and possibly putting in overtime to study and do homework.
Located in South America, Bolivia is not only a very diverse nation but also a very divided one. Throughout much of its history Bolivia has been home to violence, poverty, and political instability with the constant rise and fall of leaders. Many of the rising governments in its more recent history have contained aspects of totalitarianism, including its current one. The current Morales Government has implemented many policies of totalitarianism into Bolivia, few of which have actually helped the country but rather have led to the rise or increase in many significant issues. Bolivia’s early history was fairly stable but after the Chaco War, which lasted from 1932 to 1935, the governmental stability within the country rapidly deteriorated (Facts on File, Britannica). Bolivia gained independence in 1825, fairly early...
When I think about what counts as learning to me, I think about my life. Just being able to live in this world to me is a learning experience, because I feel that my life is full of lessons and I believe that it takes lessons to learn in life. I feel that I have learned to understand learning more and to also understand the value of learning. As I get older I can comprehend subject matters more than I could ever do before. I am learning to be more serious and I find myself not taking life for granted anymore.
When I first enrolled here at State University, I never thought I would ever be in the position to graduate. Finishing college was a huge goal growing up but it was also my biggest fear. But after three and a half years of dedication I plan to get my degree in the fall. Getting this far in college was not easy, it took encouragement from family, dedication, and assistance from others to reach this position.
