The Tragedy of Julius Caesar written by William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar in his lifetime was always overlooked and he didn’t really like the fact that he was overlooked for so long. The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is believed to be written in 1599, this story is based off of true events that had actually happened, but shakespeare put his own twists on things to keep it interesting. The tone in this story really does help everything out and helps you understand the anger from all the people who do not like Julius Caesar but it also helps you understand Julius Caesar just wanted the best for everything. The tone of this is mainly a fairly serious tone, it stays serious through the whole thing, although that may seem boring there is something that draws you into the story, the intensity of it keeps you interested in the whole story, you want to know what happens next. This story starts just after Pompey was defeated and Caesar returns back to Rome in triumphs. What really does help this story out is the part that Shakespeare really did get the time accurate and made it seem like you were thrown back into the time that Julius Caesar really was around and all of it was going on in front of you, just like a play.
