When pondering Joy Mangano’s entrepreneurship accomplishments, it is evident she demonstrates strong business leadership qualities and is an inspiration to women entrepreneurs everywhere. The five practices written as: Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act, and Encourage the Heart. As she grew up to become a leader, Joy held onto these practices and demonstrated them.
Joy practices “Model the Way” and “Inspire a Shared Vision” stated as:

The first successful product she created, the Miracle Mop, is a result of mopping floors in her home. Painfully frustrated with her mops cheap material, lack of absorbency, and the amount of effort needed for rinsing so, she invented her own improved mop. In Thomas Haire’s article for Response Magazine, Joy says “It came about the same way as most of my other products — I’m always looking at problems and trying to solve them.” when speaking about her Huggable Hangers, the best-selling product in Home Shopping Network’s history. This shows her main drive comes from a desire to share her inventions with everyone because of the difference they made in her own life. Furthermore, she leads the way for her products to be successful because everyone can identify with her she is a regular person with cleaning and household needs just like everyone
The reality is that it is almost impossible to separate Martha Stewart the person from Martha Stewart the brand. The success of MSLO lies in the successful creation of the brand from the person. For example, the strength in Martha Stewart's brand can be found in how the customer takes ownership in the brand. On some note, they "relate" to Martha. Martha has touched their lives and made those lives better. "Ask any of her brand loyalists and they'll tell you that Martha understands their lives, which is why they listen to her, follow her advice and buy her products" (Frankel). Attributes such as "tasteful", "stylish", and "homemaker" are personality traits whereas "cooking" and "gardening" are traits of MSLO. Likewise, as we saw in the case, a comprehensive report of MSLO will undoubtedly include stories about Martha Stewart's personal life. The brand and company succeeds on her celebrity status and vice versa.
Lillian Vernon has not relied on demographics to sell her products to the public. Instead, her secret to success lies in womens intuition. The lean seat-of-the-pants operation she prefers makes her company tremendously agile. For example, in 1985, Lillian spied the cacooning trend and immediately put a furniture specialty catalog together. She got the trend right
I’m sure everyone knows who Martha Stewart is. Most people don’t even know what her occupation is, they just know the name Martha Stewart. Im also sure if you mention her name to different people you’ll get many different reactions. Stewart has a polarizing personality that is for sure. Martha is very bold with her perfectionism. We all know Martha from her cooking and house decorating shows. From when her company rose overnight in the New York Stock Exchange to make her company a billion-dollar company. Then of course from her fall from when she was convicted of insider trading in 2004. However, Martha’s commitment to educate about business and the art of fine living to others is very impressive.
Joy, on the other hand, seems intent on building barriers around her soul that would make it as rigid and unfeeling as her wooden leg. As did the surgeon who had to perform the prosthetic surgery years before to replace a natural part of her physical body, she is apparently trying to perform this same function with the spiritual side of herself as well. She has taken great care to recreate her « self » into one th...
Mary Kay Ash worked hard her entire live. When she was only seven years old, her father came home from the institution he had been staying at since he had contracted tuberculosis. She was the youngest of four children, but ended up taking care of her father so her mother could continue working. She had to go to school, clean the house and cook dinner, which left her with little time to be an average seven-year old. She would talk to her mother every day on the phone to get instructions on how to cook dinner and her mother always took the time to answer any questions she might have. "You can do it!" her mother would say. (Ash, Mary Kay 10) It was these words that became the motto of the Mary Kay Cosmetics Corporation.
Mary Kay was founded on having a higher purpose to allow women everywhere to find their own personal and financial success. Their belief is that any woman can build their own business that will benefit their lives free of any restrictions. The company gives women the potential to become independ...

things up; reaching greater mass. Thus, if anything spreads in social media, it’s a big news. It’s a medium where everyone is a content creator, a publisher. Social media comes first to rescue, in certain cases, before the law can do anything - or when the law has failed to anything. As much as this is true for present issues and incidents, the social media is also revealing the information about Komagata Maru journey, a historic racism incident. Some sources are showing reality of racism against the Indians in which some are writing and making their own views, some sources shows opposition and some shows favour.

Leadership is a complex idea that is often is hard to define. Everyone seems to have different characteristics that they feel contribute to a good leader. Even though there is no straightforward definition of leadership, there are still certain personality traits, behaviors, skills, and motivators that people admire in a leader. The best example to show how leaders utilize these characteristics is to examine a prominent figure in pop culture, such as Beyoncé. Her life is transparent enough that we can analyze her leadership skills, and how they change in any given situation. Beyoncé’s impact as a leader will be analyzed in three different categories.
The two passages “girl” by jamaica kincaid and “salvador, late or early” focus on the burdens of young children or children in general. Which shows how the older we get the more responsibilities we have. The following paragraphs are going to analyze evidence and techniques the author uses to show these burdens on children. Starting with “girl” and how jamaica uses her techniques to show the burdens.
When I was younger, I didn’t know much about undocumented immigrants. In school, teachers never really talked about it and we weren’t required to learn about them. As I got older I started to learn more about them just by listening to my parents talk and the from hearing things on the news. When I came to high school was when I really started to learn about undocumented immigrants.
During my interview with Regina Martinez, BS RN and currently an Assistant Director of a home health agency, I discovered her leadership style matched the above quote. Martinez had extensive experience in management prior to joining the medical field. As a single working mother, she worked her way up from waitress to manger of a popular seafood restaurant. However, her dream had always been to become a nurse and she began her medical career as a certified nurse’s aide (CNA), while working through college. She quickly earned the respect of doctors and fellow nurses, becoming a Charge Nurse on the floors she worked. She has worked as Medical Surgery nurse, emergency room, and as Director of Nursing for home health and long-term care facilities where she was responsible for over 150 employees.
As humans, we often try to blend in with society in various ways. We try to blend in by changing the way we talk, act, or dress. In the short story, “Girl,” author Jamaica Kincaid uses the mother’s past experiences to guide her daughter in the changed world. She also uses repression of being a woman in her time, to change her daughter’s views on society and their culture. Kincaid uses the way a woman should dress, do their duties, and behave as themes to convey that women should respect themselves.
