Joseph Goebbels A Perpetrator In The Holocaust

In the Holocaust there were two types of people, perpetrators and rescuers each were different in their own regards, but perpetrators are the topic. A perpetrator is a person who does a harmful, illegal, or immoral action. Joseph Goebbels was a Nazi perpetrator who was the Nazis propaganda Minster tasked with brainwashing the German masses. He made and allowed thousands of propaganda material to be dispersed among the people turning them effectively into and army of angry mobs. He was a Nazi perpetrator who viewed the Nazi cause as just and righteous cause. Joseph Goebbels was the Nazi propaganda minister who brainwashed the German populace into becoming mindless zombies that only believed him and Hitler.

Very quickly Goebbels became friends with Adolf Hitler and found a high ranking Nazi Party position, soon he was organizing speeches for Adolf and the Nazi party. Eventually he found himself as the “director, of the Reich Chamber of Culture” where they tried “to control all aspects of the creative arts” (Biography.com). His task was to control the media and the creation and distribution of arts. His role in perpetrating came from his actions to manipulate the media to hat Jews, and to make the Jewish creators and artists be put of business. This was accomplished through his daily routine of “designing posters, publishing propaganda, and using his body guards to incite street battles” all this did was create “political agitation” (History). By creating this agitation it allowed him to get inside people’s minds and control the German people as if they were puppets. This happened because of Joseph Goebbels’s efforts to help the Nazi party keep the people supporting them and rise to higher political power.
Joseph Goebbels also created a physical exhibit where he tried to convince people to support the war effort against the Soviets and capture of remaining Jews. This form of physical Propaganda fueled the hatred towards Jews and Soviets. This exhibit was called “The Soviet Paradise” which showed how “millions of people would become “‘powerless starving slaves’ if Germany lost the war” (Beyond courage). This allowed him to trick the German people and forcibly brainwash them into believing false truths. Also, allowed him to gain control of the people’s pride and make them want to join the war effort and persecute Jews and allowed more control over propaganda.
There were 2 types of people in the Holocaust and Joseph Goebbels chose perpetrator his choice to define himself in history. He brainwashed the German people, put Jewish artists out of business, and controlled every instance of the media and propaganda strains. Also, he gave Nazi leaders powerful speeches to convince people of their might and righteousness. Joseph Goebbels wrote nearly every Nazi speech and piece of propaganda making him an invaluable asset to the Nazis. Had he not been around would have things been different if the people didn’t believe him, if the people never saw the propaganda, if they were never convinced that the Jews were scum of the Earth, would they have listened to Hitler? Would they have? Or better yet would they have destroyed him.
