There is a chance that a few know of California’s founding father and who he was. Father Junipero Serra is that founding father who is just as important as George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and several others. However he was a different founding father, a religious one who shaped California. Junipero Serra by Steven W. Hackel delves into Junipero Serra’s life and how he lived. Father Serra, a devoted Catholic, “devoted himself to the universalism of Catholicism, the suppression of individualism, and the renunciation of materialism.” (242)

There is nothing more I can ask for because I feel very blessed for all my wonderful experiences at APU. I am beyond excited for what lies ahead of me for the next four years. Hi, I am Gage Lopez. I am seventeen years old and a freshman here at Lansing Community College. I was born in a small town in the thumb of Michigan called Sebewaing. All of my family was from this town and including an even smaller town next to Sebewaing called Unionville, which is where I lived prior to college. Growing up I was always with my mother as my main care taker after my dad left, alongside my mom was my grandpa who we lived with for the time being. Only being 17 as a freshman in college is very young for most people. I graduated in a class of 65 kids, and me being the youngest. High school was very challenging for me. Having major anxiety and reading disability it was very hard for me to concentrate on school and sports
Hi, I’m Leah. I’m 13 years old and live in a little town in New Jersey. I grew up a Christian girl, didn’t really do much with my life. I sing and play the piano, but other than that I’m not really anyone special. I found you and Dan’s video’s in the beginning of 2014, so I’ve been watching you for almost 2 years now. I’m not an artist, or writer, and I can’t make cool edits, or write songs, and I pretty much suck at socializing (even though my friends would probably say otherwise) so I thought I would just write you this and make your day a little brighter.
