His skill compares to no one else with his depth in his baritone voice, his strange song lyrics, his meaningful song lyrics, his guitar skills or even his funny story lyrics like from “A Boy Named Sue”. Also you might know Johnny Cash from his covers like “Hurt” by The Nine Inch Nails or “Rusty Cage” by Soundgarden. Some of his biggest hits that are his songs are “The Ring of Fire”, “Walk the Line”, and as I mentioned before “A Boy Named Sue”.

Cash was that means we know that he grew up in an era where people started smoking at a young age and as a matter of fact he was only 12 years old when he started which led on to effect his health in the future. As Cash got older he wrote a book expressing his feeling of the death of his brother which he later used ass inspiration for his music. In 1950 he joined the army where he couldn’t use J.R. Cash as his name in the army because you not supposed to use initials for your first name so he used John R. Cash instead. After he left in 1954 he started his musical career. In 1954 he married his first wife Vivian Liberto after he left the army.
He then set his mind to his music career working with some of his older brother’s colleagues. In 1955 he dropped his first big hit “Cry, cry, cry” which reached the billboard charts! Also it finally made a name for himself and led to his next album "Folsom Prison Blues” which one of his best albums ever. It included one of his biggest songs of all time “Walk the line” which hit number one on the country tracks. After that Cash became popular very fast but then he turned down a dark path filled with drugs and alcohol where he started to lose control. He also divorced from his first wife Vivian in 1966 after having 4 children. They split because of his side relationship with the love of his life, his soon to be second wife June Carter. Cash continued on with his musical career by releasing probably his most well-known hit of all time “The Ring of Fire” which was originally performed by a close friend but was given to Cash to do his own rendered performance. Cash started getting out of the dark drug infested pit he was in was in with the help of his partner June whom he married in 1968. This helped him create dark, soulful, meaningful lyrics for his songs which why people love him to this
day. After that Cash continued making music and never gave up. Some of his great albums he created over the year were “At San Quentin”, “American Recordings”, “Carryin' On with June Carter”, “Highwayman”, “The Essential Johnny Cash” and of course Cash’s last album ever before he died “The Man Comes Around”. As Cash got older he started doing some great covers of songs like I mentioned earlier. My personal favorite being “Hurt” which was included in his last album that I previously mentioned. His bad habits and things he did when he was younger started effecting his body especially in the early 2000s. When his wife died in May 2003 Cash became extremely depressed and could only use music to keep him going. He didn’t last long because he missed his wife so much and died from Diabetes on Sept. 12, 2003 in Nashville, Tennessee. He will forever be remembered as an inspiring musical icon for all he’s accomplished, been through, and basically just his amazing musical skills. And I hope he’s with his description of happiness which is about his wife. “This morning, with her, having coffee”.
...sley performed his music in all types of genres. Presley allowed musicians to step out of the box and be their selves. He had hit songs in gospel, rock, pop, and country. Although he lived a short life, he is still famous in some people’s eyes. I met a woman who had attended one of Elvis’s performances and she said it was the best concert she had ever been to. During the concert she said Elvis was dancing and all the girls were going crazy as always. He removed his scarf and threw it into the crowd she was the lucky one who caught it. She still has his scarf in her house, and will never forget the memories of that night. Elvis passed away on August 16, 1977 in his home from heart failure. The King still lives on in many people’s lives and his music career helped many people. Elvis Presley led the way for many musicians, and has impacted the lives of many people.
Hank Williams Jr will always be remembered, He made a huge turning point in country music. He started young and seen his dreams and where he wanted to be, He didn't let anyone or anything stop him from getting there. Hank took his own spin on country music, and made it his own. Not following the “trend”, But doing what he wanted. Taking his dad with him , never forgetting that he's one of the reasons he's here.
Scott Joplin said: “Boy, when I’m dead 25 years, people are going to begin to recognize me.” With this quote, Scott Joplin seemed to predict the impact that his music and life would have on generations to come. Indeed, as time moved on Scott Joplin’s prediction became true. Best-known as a ragtime musician and composer, Scott Joplin set the standard for many other musicians that followed in his footsteps. Scott Joplin was an important figure in American History because he is considered the “King of Ragtime Writers.” Ragtime is music played in “ragged” or off-the-beat time.

Rod Stewart had arguably one of the best rock albums of the seventies with ‘Every Picture Tells a Story’. Mandolin Wind, Reason to Believe, and of course, Maggie Mae. Now Rod Stewart puts out albums filled with American Standards and wears a tuxedo. I get it, people changes over the years, they evolve, and they slow down. Not that I was ever a rock star, but I have grown to value the safety that comes with routine. My friend Phil (Blind Dog) challenged that routine the other day when he called and asked me what I was doing that night (Thursday). The usual, I thought: dinner, exercise, T.V., scotch.
Rock and roll’s sheer existence has seemly coexisted with multitudes of generations’ hormone infested teenagers for decades. Since its appearance and establishment within the mid 1950’s, rock and roll has undoubtedly managed to capture the hearts of millions and presently still continues to. Ideally, when addressing the genre of rock and roll, artists such as Chuck Berry and Little Richard may occasionally come to mind. However, it seems so that it’s impossible to envision rock and roll without its king, Elvis Presley. Many individuals may be familiar with Elvis Presley as one of America’s most musically influential figures of all times. Infamously recognized as the “King of Rock n’ Roll”, Elvis Presley has forever been engraved within the

50 Cent used perseverance, passion, and effort to get where he is today. Firstly, 50 Cent has been around violence ever since he was born. For example, UXL Newsmakers, online source, shares that 50’s mother, Sabrina Jackson was a feared drug dealer in Queens. 50 Cents mother was then mysteriously killed when he was just eight years old (cent). Thus, this point proves that 50 cent did not grow up in the right environment. Secondly, 50 cent used his passion for music to overcome a serious incident. Furthermore, UXL Newsmakers, reports that in May of 2000, while sitting in front of his grandmothers, 50 was shot nine times including a bullet to his hip and head. Thus resulting to Columbia Records dropping him from the label. Therefore, this confirms
