John Lennon impacted everything from music to pop culture in a tremendous way, even though he lived a diminutive life, he still impacted the world with his consequential voice and songwriting abilities , distinct fashion, and the things he believed in and the way he went about life. In 1960, the world changed when The Beatles were born. John Lennon was the leader and former of the amired band. Lennon’s music attracted everyone in the world, he was a teenage girl heart throb and touched everyone's heart, from man to women and child to elder. His use of words in his music could make anyone fall in love.
Lennon was all about love and peace. He was an activist and showed it in his music, an example of that is in his famous song “Imagine”. John wrote this song all by himself and it’s his most successful song. …show more content…

In 1972, President Nixon was running for again for president and he had a problem with John Lennon. John and Yoko had been living in New York for about a year after moving from the UK and John would go to protests and sing “Give Peace a Chance” and tell their fans the best way to give peace a chance was to not vote for President Nixon. President Nixon’s response to all that was to have Lennon deported. Also he wanted Lennon out of the U.S because Lennon plead guilty to a charge of cannabis possession back when he lived in London, and US immigration law at the time banned anyone convicted of drug offense. Luckily Lennon had people at his side. Other artist’s join his side since they thought John didn’t deserve to be kicked out over cannabis possession and made a letter- writing campaign to help Lennon stay in the US. Some of the people who helped Lennon were Bob Dylan, John Cage and Joyce Carol Oates. Overall, anything The Beatles did would impact the world because they were huge.
